Grace Upon Grace Journaling Devotional is a comforting book that offers brief, daily readings to create calm. It is ideal for a morning coffee break. The bonus is that it offers a journaling option. Recommended for gift giving.
I've been missing a Sophie Hudson book, and this devotional has been the perfect book for me. Her style of writing transpires clearly in these daily devotions. She starts each one with a story and then she moves on the spiritual aspects she wants to write about. Although it's aimed at teen girls, I think it's perfect for older women, too. I personally enjoyed reading it. I prefered to read about two-three at a time, just to get more from Sophie's words. I recommend this to anyone looking for a relatable devotional.
Another great book from Sophie Hudson! This was a great journal devotional that I would recommend to anyone. The message was wholesome, the layout was well put together and I enjoyed my time in this book each day.
I love the personal touches Sophie adds to her prompts as well as the messages and lessons learned.
Overall, i really enjoyed this and can't wait to pick up more from Sophie Hudson.
This book would be great as a (companion quiet time) journaling. For those who need a little bit less guidance, and a devotional. but a little bit more than just reading the Bible.
Tons of great topics are covered great reflection activities. Are offered
Lots of entertaining stories. It’s loads of fun at the layout is really pretty and it’s super Duper easy to read.
I read it about one sitting. Haha 😂
Would make a great Christmas present, and with the book shortage coming up. I would recommend ordering this sooner rather than later.
Anyway highly recommend, four-star as well earned.
It was dragged points but probably wouldn’t have if I’d like actually taken 100 days. to get through it not read it in one sitting.
So that’s probably user error 😂
But seriously it’s worth it.
A great follow-up to Sophie Hudson's "All In All" devotional, though this certainly stands on its own as well. The daily reflection questions are really good - much more thoughtful and insightful than most devos. It isn't very clear from the cover or description that it's really geared toward teens, which was a little bit frustrating because the majority of stories seemed to be high school related, but still great content.
Goodness, Sophie just never disappoints. These devotional are well written, well thought out and just right for the targeted age group. I love the questions for each day as well. This would make a great book to discuss with friends too!
In this book, Sophie Hudson writes 100 short devotionals to be read over 100 days.
Each day has a Bible verse, a short personal story that ties into the spiritual application for the day and several questions for deeper thought and meditation.
This book was sweet and encouraging and would make a great gift especially for a high school graduate or college age young adult. Sophie works at a high school and many of her stories are about her experiences with teenagers.
Thanks Netgalley for letting me read an advanced read copy of this book. It will be released on September 28th.
I think this is a neat concept for young ladies and I love the format, but I struggled a little with wanting to devotionals to have a little more meat to them and more focused on scripture. Some of the stories were connected to covid and personal stories that may not connect as long term with teens, and sometimes it felt like a devotional written by a mom for a daughter. I think that’s a sweet concept but it may turn some teens off to the devotional. I think it has a lot of potential and could be good for some girls starting out in their faith as a first devotional to help them start journaling and processing. The journal element is a huge strength to it.
This is a cute little devotional journal that has 100 days of author's thoughts and notes, questions, and scriptures to read. This would be a great daily pondering activity.
