This book was a good read, however it didn't quite hook me like other books within this genre. I would still recommend it though!

This book is a must-read for anyone who loves a good romance novel with a twist. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is captivating. Overall, Meet Me in the Margins is a heartwarming and charming story that will leave you feeling happy and satisfied.

I surprisingly loved this book but it was also very mid overall. I am giving it 4 stars because it was witty and original but somehow flat and the writing wasn't the best.

I think this story had elements that separately would usually be something that I would enjoy, but there is just something about the way that this story works together that unfortunately didnt really work for me. I just truly dont think that I am the right reader for this story to fully enjoy it, but I definitely see why someone else really would based on the elements.

This was a cute, closed-door romance set in the world of a small publisher. The environment of the publishing house was really interesting to me and I wish the story focused more on that aspect than the really random and unnecessary aspect of fatphobia and body shaming that the two sisters focused on throughout the "fitness" challenge. The family toxicity also really threw me off and they all really need a lot of therapy.
The romance was paced well, even though the male MC did feel a little stalky in the beginning, always showing up where she was and popping in to take her places, even though he's her boss. 2.75 stars.

This book sounds so cute when read the description, but as soon as I started the book I could tell it was going to be one of those ridiculous novels. The rude man and the accident prone I’m trying so hard but everything is going wrong types. She was SO annoying! And I hate to say it but I actually had to force myself to read. This was not a story hat made me excited to sit down with it.

Ehh. Shallow characters, not much romance, dysfunctional family...need I say more? Others might like this but I didn't.

I deeply think this was not for me, I couldn’t connect deeply with the characters but that doesn’t mean it would not be for other people, so being totally objective. I think it was a beautiful written book but it just not wasn’t for me as a reader

I went into Meet Me In The Margins knowing it was going to be predictable, and that’s ok. Sometimes you have to read for pure pleasure purposes and give the brain a break from thinking. I loved the premise of the publishing house and that was enough for me to give it a try.
It set off to a rocky start. There was something about the writing style I couldn’t put my finger on. It felt a bit unrealistic, like nobody would speak like that. So did some of the elements of the book (keep an eye out for Savannah’s ex-boyfriend). If I’m to be honest, I started to become disappointed in the book. However, at about the halfway mark I began to enjoy it more. I’m not sure what was the turning point other than me letting go and accepting the book for what it was. The characters were a bit one-dimensional for me and, as I already said, the plot line was predictable, but I think I appreciated knowing there was a happy ending ahead.
Predictable story or not, I think Meet Me In The Margins had a lot more potential than what was fulfilled. I would have liked to see more of Will, less of Savannah’s family, and a deeper insight into who she was as a person. I’m still on the fence on whether it actually could have been more romantic.

Savannah's sister was so terrible and abusive towards her and she just took it. I found it so upsetting and could not finish the book.

I enjoyed this! It was a fun read, the premise was interesting, and while parts of it felt very predictable to me, I still enjoyed following the characters as the story went on.
That being said, this wasn't anything all that special and it stands as a pretty middle-of-the-road book. I didn't feel all that much connection to the characters or chemistry between the male and female lead. So while the romance was cute, I wasn't all that invested.
It was definitely not a bad book, and I had a good time reading it, but it wasn't anything great either.

This is CUTE. While I would not say it is philosophical or groundbreaking next kind of novel; I would definitely say it works very well in the romance literature department, taking the well-used trope of unknown penpals into lovers like a pro and running with it as the winner. This simply works. Cute, sweet and truly enjoyable read, like a cup of perfect hot chocolate in the cold day, infusing you with hope.
I think that part of its charm is not a change of heroes’characters - because while they change internally, it is more like a gentle growth and even more the realization of their worth and good sides they never knew they had. This is more visible in Savannah, who tends to lessen herself in the service to others - but she is also no pushover or ugly sister, she just has low self-esteem in some areas and is genuinely kind at the same time. William is the one who sees more of her. She can help him being more warm-hearted, he can help her in being more self-assured. Good deal, I would say!
The novel is also genuinely funny.
Delightful.

This is the second book set in the book publishing world that I have tried and I could not get into this one either. Unfortunately I did not finish and stopped at 20% hoping that was far enough to pull me in. But it wasnt and I have other more recent releases to get to. Thank you for the chance to read and review this one.

I an unable to review this title, as it was archived before I had a chance to download and read it. This feedback is only to stop this title from adversely affecting my netgalley feedback rate. If in the future I have the opportunity to read this title, I will post a proper review here.

Meet Me in the Margins is a delightful and heartwarming read that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance. The story follows Savannah Cade, a nonfiction editor who is struggling to make ends meet. When she gets a chance to edit a manuscript by a famous author, she jumps at the chance. But as she gets to know the author, she begins to realize that there is more to her story than meets the eye.
Savannah is a complex and well-developed character. She is intelligent and hardworking, but she is also struggling with her own insecurities. She is afraid to let anyone in, but she is also drawn to the author. The author is also a well-developed character. She is strong and independent, but she is also struggling with her own demons.
Meet Me in the Margins is cute and heartwarming but I wanted to like it more than I actually did. I def had potential

Mellisa Ferguson is going into the "auto buy" author category for me!
Savannah Cade is about to live out her wildest dream: the magazine she wants to work for for is looking for a manuscript that she has ghost written. Her issue? She's working for a competitor magazine. Going back to find the manuscript she hid one adventurous night, she discovers that someone has written notes in the margin about their reactions. Soon, Savannah starts a back and forth message exchange with the mysterious note writer that leads her to have more than just friend feelings. Will she be able to figure out who is helping her get her writing into pubishing stage?
I loved Meet Me in the Margins and was captivated from the first page. I recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys romance books without the spice portion.

I loved this one! So freaking cute. I’m a sucker for anything to do with authors. Highly recommend to romance lovers

Cute enjoyable read. Weird family relationship dynamic that's never really explored. But the story was enough to keep reading past the odd ex-boyfriend now the sister's fiancé plotline.

Thank you Netgalley for my free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Meet Me in the Margins is a contemporary romance novel by Melissa Fergusson that follows the story of Savannah who is an assistant acquisition editor and an aspiring rom-com author who works for Pennington Pub that only publishes smart non-fiction. Savannah hides her manuscript in the secret ARC room and is shocked when she gets a mystery editor who helps her with her novel. While the story was cute and had some charming moments, it lacked the oomph that I am looking for in a good rom-com.
While the premise is promising, the story falls short in terms of character development. Will's character, in particular, was not developed enough, and I found it difficult to root for him as the love interest. Savannah's character was more fleshed out, but even she felt somewhat one-dimensional at times.
The first two parts of the book were slow and lacked the necessary tension and conflict, but the end was better and tied up loose ends nicely. The book had a sweet and satisfying ending, which is a redeeming quality for the story.
It was an enjoyable but forgettable rom-com.

BOOK REVIEW
BOOK: Meet Me in the Margins
AUTHOR: Melissa Ferguson
FORMAT: eBook
RATING: DNF (did not finish)
MY THOUGHTS
I started this book and found that I had a lot of difficulty connecting to the story. I did not finish it, not for lack of quality of the book but more so that I felt it was a “right book wrong time” situation where I wasn’t in the right mindset for this one at this time! Hopefully will be picking it back up in the future!
