What a fun book! This is a great easy graphic novel for those children who loved the Stick and Stone picture books but are ready for the next reading level. The story is cute and funny, with text that is easy to read. The art is nice, soft and colorful. I really enjoyed this book.

I have enjoyed reading Stick and Stone by Beth Ferry in many of the storytimes at my library, and it never gets old for my kids or me. I was so excited to see this book on NetGalley and couldn't resist choosing it to read. This is a heartwarming book filled with friendship, fun, and adventures. The nature guide A-Z for kids to enjoy is perfect for outdoor exploring, and who doesn't love a s'more recipe? Stick and Stone Explore and More will be a fantastic addition to my graphic novel collection. It's a perfect easy reader for the burgeoning readers in my library system and will surely be a favorite.

I truly enjoyed this book very much. It's part of a series, but I didn't need to read the other books to understand who these characters were. It's a beautiful story of friendship with fun adventures that can be scary sometimes, but at least Stick and Stone have each other. There were also some cool ideas after each chapter. The first story, Nature Girl, has a fantastic A-Z checklist that kids can use to find different things in nature. The second story, Sticky Situation, has a great, kid-friendly s'mores recipe at the end.
All in all, I look forward to the next book (Stick and Stone: On the Go is coming soon!), and I would love to take some time and catch up with the ones I've missed. A lovely story of friendship, I would definitely recommend.

I've only recently discovered graphic novels for beginning readers. They're amazing. Graphic novels are a gateway drug to reading for reluctant readers and a great transition tool for kids who are working on moving away from picture books and into chapter books. I've even read a few to my almost 3 year old son and he loves them. I'm not familiar with the book series this GN is based on, but I'm about to be. Things I love about this book...

1. The alphabet activity in the first story.
2. The friendship between Stone and Stick.
3. The way they both respond to "bullies" in the story.
4. The illustrations.

I always love the friendship between Stick and Stone! I also love that this book has two stories in one. There's definitely something for everyone.

This is a beginning graphic novel with two story adventures. In the first, Stick and Stone encounter Nature Girl finding nature objects for each letter of the alphabet. What will happen when she gets to 'S'? The second story involves wishing on dandelions and learning sometimes wishes come true but maybe not in the way you intended. Both stories are great and have humor. There are some tricky words that young readers may need help with. This would be a good addition to a library needing to grow it's graphic novel section for younger readers.

Stick and Stone are off on adventures which, depending on the point of view is either exciting or scary. They learn to work together and be persistent to make it through the adventure safely.

Stick and Stone have such a fun friendship, that i don't think anyone can read this without finding something to identify with. There's laughs and real heart to this story and it's very relatable.

Two stories. In the first one Stick and Stone meet a Nature Girl who collects them on an alphabet scavenger hunt. In the second, stick and stone wind up on the beach as part of a bonfire and stick gets sticky when a marshmallow is stuck on his head. Cute stories with humor.
