Absolutely beautifully photographed, and everything looks scrumptious and irresistable. The recipes are well written, as expected from this blogger.

Delicious collection of recipes that certainly made me feel warm and comforted. Downside: will make you hungry.

If by 'everything' you mean 'all of the cream cheese' then yes, Denney certainly did eat everything.

(I don't understand the middle American impulse to put cream cheese into things it doesn't belong in. Cream cheese belongs on bagels. Maybe dip. That's it.)

I think this cookbook is for people who need to get dinner on the table for the family quickly and easily and don't have adventurous palates. The most 'exotic' ingredient here is soy sauce or cumin. Few fresh vegetables and most ingredients come from the middle aisles of the grocery store, from cans and jars. Denney's idea of Mexican food is chicken enchiladas smothered in shredded cheese. The recipes are simple and easy to follow, but there's nothing groundbreaking here.

This book was very interesting and full of fun recipes and wonderful photos to go along with the different recipes. I appreciated how creative the different ideas are. My only other feedback is to include more variations for dairy free, gluten free or allergy free.

What a great cookbook! The material is well written and presented in an easy to follow manner. I look forward to trying out several of these recipes.

This is my first cookbook by this author and I really like how she had the book arranged: One-Pan Dinners, Feeding a Crowd, Game-Day Eats, Low-Carb Favorites, Quick and Easy, Tried and True, and Something Sweet. I also like how easy the directions are laid out and the pictures are truly mouth-watering. There are a lot of dinners for when you're short on time and I really like the low-carb options.

Some of my favorite recipes are One-Pan Chicken Enchilada Skillet, Egg Roll in a Bowl, Honey Shrimp and Broccoli, Key Lime bars and the Brownie Cookies.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher, Shadow Mountain via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Yummy. I got full just reading the recipes. The one-pan meals were my favorites but I will definitely give all the recipes a try. I need to start working out more.

This cookbook has some great recipes, such as the cookie butter cookies. However, some of the recipes are renamed and seem taken from somewhere else. I wanted to like this cookbook more but it turned me off with the renaming of recipes. I will say, a lot of the recipes are easy to make and make sense when you need something quick. I will still buy it because I like cookbooks and will use it for inspiration to adapt recipes.

This cookbook is exactly the kind of cookbook I need. I didn’t even get past the front cover with out drooling. All the recipes are simple and quick. Which is exactly what i need when I get home from work and don’t feel like cooking. Pictures are incredible and don’t make me feel like the dish is impossible to make.

Scrumptious from the Girl Who Ate Everything is a delightful cookbook from food blogger Christy Denney, founder of The Girl Who Ate Everything. Denney’s focus is on family friendly foods, and this cookbook is filled with mouthwatering recipes that are not only mostly easy to make, but also foods that will be popular for both kids and adults.

The recipes are written in the traditional manner and are easy to follow with numbered instructions. Both beginning and more advanced cooks will have an easy time preparing good food. The recipes are appealing, and there are beautiful photographs of most of the dishes. Denney has included recipes that are down-to-earth and will appeal to regular people; she doesn’t try to intimidate readers and cooks by over-complicating and trying to make them seem gourmet or adding extra steps like some television food stars.

So far, the recipes tested in my kitchen have turned out picture-perfect and exactly as expected (The Sheet Pan Steak and Parmesan Potatoes are easy, quick, and luscious). There are several other sheet pan dinners that are also quick and easy, as well as one-pan dinners to save time. Most of the main dishes are suitable for preparing on weeknights. The variety of dishes will appeal to almost everyone – picky eaters will even find something that they like. The book also includes enough desserts that are quick and easy so anyone with a sweet tooth will be happy.

For anyone who likes some quick, easy, and fun ideas for meals, this cookbook is an excellent choice.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

Everything in this book made me hungry! Loved how the sections were broken up. Simple, easy to follow recipes with everyday, easy to find ingredients. I want to try about 98% of these recipes myself! I think I am going to have to buy a physical copy. I will get that much use out of this cook book! Take a look for your self. You won't be disappointed!!!

A refreshing surprise! "Scrumptious" is a straightforward and fun collection of recipes: some classic takes accompanied by plenty of originals. This cookbook is well organized and skips all the extra introductions (pantry organizing, culinary background and theory, etc.) and gets right to business. I flagged plenty of recipes to try!

Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for providing a eARC for review.

This is a great cookbook for people interested in simple, tasty recipes. The recipes are easy to prep and cook. The one-pan dishes are perfect for people who hate washing the dishes.

I am unfamiliar with this author/blog, so wasn’t quite sure what the cookbook would contain. He “girl who ate everything” made be think it would require a lot of things that my plain-Jane tastes wouldn’t like (Im pretty much a meat and potatoes gal). I was pleasantly surprised to see appetizing and easy recipes that mostly appeal! This is a rarity!

I admit, I wasn't familiar with Christy Denney or her blog before, but now I'm signed up for her newsletter. I'm so cool with quick and easy cooking, and have no problem using shortcuts of the semi-homemade kind. Chapters included cover one-pan meals, feeding a crowd (a small crowd at least, or meals with leftovers), game day eats (if your house is like my house and no games are watched, consider this the appetizer/nosh chapter), low carb/keto-friendly, quick and easy, tried and true (a.k.a. comfort food), and sweets. The recipes are all pretty easy, the oddest ingredient I saw was almond flour, which isn't very odd, and the majority of the recipes can be made quickly. My only real problem with the book is trying to decide what to try first! I mean, it all looks and sounds so tasty, with a nice, high number of recipes I want to try (and actually believe I will try - y'all know what I mean!).

My new go-to cookbook! The recipes are easy to follow and delicious. The photos are a nice touch. I honestly bookmarked so many recipes in this cookbook I finally just stopped because it was most of the book- unusual for me! Even better- these are recipes my whole family will eat and make weeknight meals easy. 5⭐️

3.5 Stars

This cookbook is perfect for anyone new to cooking and looking for meals and recipe ideas for a family. The instructions are easy to follow and the layout of the book makes it easy to find a recipe that will be of interest. Also, the photos are very stunning, which is something that I love in a recipe book. That being said, there isn’t a lot to offer in this one for anyone with experience in the kitchen. The recipes themselves are quite basic and many of them use pre-packaged ingredients.

I've been making The Girl Who Ate Everything's recipes for years and have another cookbook by her. I love how this one is set up, with family favorites, treats, appetizers, and even feeding a crowd. The pictures are as mouth-watering as the recipes. Our family favorite was hands down the Egg Roll in a Bowl. This is one book I'll be coming to again and again.
