You'd think a story (mainly) about a woman who always puts family first, was divorced because her cancer survivor husband needed to do that, ran a historical radio station, was dangerously targeted by right wingers (and not because she chose to convert to Judaism when she married), and was developing a connection to the governor would be mess of a downer. But YOU'D BE WRONG. In fact, it turned out to be a great whodunit with more red herrings and amazing plot twists, and that doesn't even take into account the moose farts! This was great!
I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Crooked Lane Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

Jaye Jordan tells it like it is and keeps her small Southern Vermont town up to date with local news and music. Having started her career at the local stations, she was given the opportunity to buy it when she and her husband were divorcing. So she, her daughter Ryan and their cat Neptune live above the station and are making a go of their own small radio station.

While most of the locals are glad to have Jaye and the radio station back, there are a few that aren’t happy that she got rid of their right wing nut weekly programming. Particularly two men who protest every time that spot would air. Having had enough, Jaye faces off with the men and shoots off their old rifle, taking out a snowman. Only later, they discover a body in the snowman and it’s the one air personality that has been spewing said right wing nut stuff. While Jaye didn’t kill the man, she has to find out who did since the killer seems to keep coming after her with the network of listeners who adored the dead man. But will Jaye win or will the killer plow her under as well?

First in a new cozy series that is absolutely perfect! Some of Jaye’s sayings crack me up and she’s the gal you’d want on your side if you were living in town and needed a BFF. I’m looking forward to seeing where things take Jaye, her daughter, her man and even Neptune.

I am sorry but I could not get into the story. Didn't like the story line so I was not able to finish the book.

Thank you NetGalley and Crooked Line Books for this ARC.
