I unfortunately did not connect with this story so after about 25% i decided to put it down. There was a slight disconnect between the writing, the characters and the plot and for that it just did not work for me.

Synopsis: Delilah Green swore she would never go back to Bright Falls—nothing is there for her but memories of a lonely childhood where she was little more than a burden to her cold and distant stepfamily. Her life is in New York, with her photography career finally gaining steam and her bed never empty. Sure, it’s a different woman every night, but that’s just fine with her. When Delilah’s estranged stepsister, Astrid, pressures her into photographing her wedding with a guilt trip and a five-figure check, Delilah finds herself back in the godforsaken town that she used to call home. She plans to breeze in and out, but then she sees Claire Sutherland, one of Astrid’s stuck-up besties, and decides that maybe there’s some fun (and a little retribution) to be had in Bright Falls, after all. Having raised her eleven-year-old daughter mostly on her own while dealing with her unreliable ex and running a bookstore, Claire Sutherland depends upon a life without surprises. And Delilah Green is an unwelcome surprise…at first. Though they’ve known each other for years, they don’t really know each other—so Claire is unsettled when Delilah figures out exactly what buttons to push. When they’re forced together during a gauntlet of wedding preparations—including a plot to save Astrid from her horrible fiancé—Claire isn’t sure she has the strength to resist Delilah’s charms. Even worse, she’s starting to think she doesn’t want to...
Review: How much time do you have to read about how much I love this book? Because I love it SO SO MUCH! This was my first introduction to Ashley Herring Blake’s writing and I can’t be more of a fan now. I am now a fan forever. I thought this book had some great writing and had a great story. The story expertly sets up the rest of the series in my opinion and I crave more of this series with these characters. The book had the tropes of small town romance, one bed, and casual sex/lust to love. I thought the world building was also so wonderful and the book was just so addicting from start to finish. I wanted to read this thing wherever I was (which was a romance book con… so like it was on brand LOL).
The only thing I wish the book had was that I wanted more defined chapters as to who’s chapter it was because that was a little confusing and I wish there was more Asterid and Delilah reconnection, but I have a feeling I’ll get that in another book.
Verdict: I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Highly recommend.

my sapphic romances always hit. I love Ashely and she makes me so happy this book was hot and wonderful. this trilogy changed my life

I am obsessed with this book. I immediately made sure we were going to read it for my book club. I can’t wait to read the rest of the related books!

A sexy oracle card reading? A chaotic camping trip? Parent Trap style shenanigans? A whole lot of queer love? Yes, yes, yes, and yes.

Love this book and series! Thoughtfully written couples and queer representation, cozy Oregon small town, and love the home renovation theme.

This book was so cute!! I absolutely loved Delilah and Claire's love story. They are so relatable and at times I found myself laughing out loud! I love a good grumpy/sunshine and this one delivered!!

I am obsessed with this cover and the artist's style. This book was so cute, funny and heart warming. I was cheering for the characters the whole time!

I LOVE Delilah Green. This was a wonderful book. Fantastic storytelling, great character building, relatable situations, this book has it all. I'm excited that she is continuing on with characters that we met in this book in further books in the series.

I am sorry for the inconvenience but I don’t have the time to read this anymore and have lost interest in the concept. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Delilah Green Doesn’t Care was SO FUN. From the very first chapter of two high school acquaintances meeting in a bar years later, I knew I was going to be hooked. The romance itself was heartwarming, filled with tension and steamy from the start, while the incredibly executed exploration of family + friend dynamics was the cherry on top. I had a blast reading this one and can’t wait to continue with this series!
Thank you to the publisher + NetGalley for this ARC!

Cute queer romance, and I appreciate that one of the characters was an active parent with their kid in the scene. Each character in that world was singular and fit into the entertaining storyline.

REALLY loving all of the character in these series, they are so relatable, fun, and loveable. AND it has one of my all time favorite tropes.... grumpy sunshine!
Definitely recommend if you're looking for more sapphic romance in your life, you're gonna love it!
*Gifted by Netgalley & Berkley, than you! All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for giving me a free eARC of this book to read in exchange for my review!

Sweet and spicy, a lovely slowburn romcom with lots of family drama mixed in. Both leads felt relatable, and there was an excellent supporting cast of characters, with nuance and depth.

I'm so sorry, but I couldn't finish this book. Both of the main characters were super irritating and I didn't care about their love story to continue finishing. Not for me.

I completely fell in love with this book and Bright Falls. First off - it's a rare treat to see bisexual representation in a way where there isn't any conflict regarding their sexuality. The romance feels like it's growing and you're swept along with it. The side characters are fleshed out and you start caring for them (which is a great lead in to the future Bright Falls books!).

5 stars! I love this series so much and purchased the audio, ebook, and physical books for my library.

Thank you to the publisher for allowing me advance access to this title. I really enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading more from this author. As a reader, I am really motivated by character driven stories and I found myself quickly becoming immersed in these characters’ lives. Full review to come.

I really enjoyed this! I don't think it was as great as I hoped, but it also wasn't as bad as some people say. I really liked the tension between the sisters and the reasons for them. I liked the growth there was in all the characters.
I especially loved Iris, and I can't wait for her book to come out.
I think the friendships in this are super interesting and I love Ruby and the conflict regarding her dad.
All in all, I think it was good and I'm starting the next one now!
