I did enjoy this book!
I thought that this storyline was good as were the characters but I felt that it was a little lacking in some areas. I found that the story was well developed and it was well written.
For me, the style of the story could have had a little more romantic scene to set the stage for story to come.
It is 4 stars from me for this one, highly recommended and it was one I really enjoyed!
I found the writing quite stilted which made it a struggle for me to get absorbed into the story. There was a lot of information about the BDSM lifestyle and a thorough consent explanation. But because it felt almost clinical to me, I didn’t feel any connection between or with the characters.

I was given an ARC by Netgalley in return for an honest review.
This is not my usual genre, but if you enjoy BDSM you will probably enjoy this. I found it to be well written with good characters and an excellent story. I found Lara and Colby to have good chemistry between them and an excellent connection. I really enjoyed how they interacted and the storyline was believable. All in all, I would recommend this book for those who enjoy the lifestyle or just enjoy reading about it.
ARC received for review
Better than the last one, but we're back to a newbie Lara who needs explanations about the lifestyle. Colby has admired her for a while, and finally makes a move. He helps her with her crazy family, and I do mean crazy with a capital C. Loved seeing all the previous couples again. Next book is their friend Zeke, and I hope Officer Logan gets a book too.

I received this book from Netalley, and ultimately found it kind of mechanical and bland.
Labeled as an erotic/BDSM focused novel it was much more random insecurities and drama than smut.
First, it tells the story of Lara, a café owner in her hometown, and Colby, the leather shop owner down the street. For anyone outside the state of Texas or those who have not frequented the local boot store, a leather shop owner doesn't usually look like our handsome eyeliner clad cover-boy. Some of the civilians of this small town are part of "the lifestyle" (as labeled in this book and never truly clarified), and ask Lara to cater some of their events. Of course our lead is down and had been to some "lifestyle" parties in college. For someone that had some experience, Lara was incredibly naïve and blindsided constantly. Around all of this, Lara is being threatened by her estranged family and at 75% of the way through the book it still has not been explained as to why.
Yes, this book is readable, and our characters are sweet so you can't help but hope for the best for them. However, the smut is few and far between and quite mechanical. There is no, overarching plot that I can understand, and overall not very exciting.
Colby Durham is an easygoing leather store owner and whip maker. He is very attracted to Lara Meyer, the owner of the Cafe near his store. Lara has grown up in a very wealthy family that is very concerned with status and appearances. They are very controlling and were very unhappy that she opened the Cafe. Lara is also very attracted to Colby but she knows that her family will try to disrupt a relationship with him as he wears leather, rides a motorcycle and sometimes rides with bikers. One concern that Coby has is wondering if Lara will understand his need for kink in his life. When Lara is hired to cater an event at Wicked Sanctuary, Colby gets his chance to approach her. They began to see each other have a great relationship but her family starts causing trouble. This is a good book that I recommend.
This novel is truly ravishing. The title pretty much describes the content. It is certainly a must read. I wont speak for others however I will advise that you should have a read to experience it first hand. Congrats to the author and to the publisher of this novel who have done an great job.
The story elements were compelling, and the BDSM themes in the book were well written. The writing was unpolished and stilted at some points and that pulled me out of the story at times, which I did not enjoy. I feel this book would benefit from a good editorial review and revamp and that would fix these issues. Lust, intrigue, and scorching chemistry did pull together for a hot read.
If you are a fan of 50 Shades of Grey, this book is for you! This book has some suspense, lust, family troubles, and a new romance between Lara and Colby.
Lara Meyer is the owner of Sweet & Savory Cafe which is right across the street from leather store owner & whip maker Colby Durham. Lara is a welcoming to all her customers, even the bikers who frequent the shop next door. This accepting person intrigues Colby and he becomes a regular in her shop. Lara gets asked to cater at the Wicked Sanctuary Club where Colby hopes to get his chance with her.
This is the 4th book of the Wicked Sanctuary Club, but the first one I read. It can be read alone, but I can't wait to go back and read the others now!
I rate this book a 4/5 stars. I deducted one star, as the stalker-like behaviors from the brother and ex-husband were major red flags to Lara at the very beginning of the story. Her way of handling it is to ask them to leave; she could have done more to prevent some events that occur later in the book, but it did add a bit of drama and suspense to the story.
I'd like to say a huge thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Ravish is aptly named. Good well-balanced plot and dialogue moved the story along quite well. Enjoyed the romance.
This was my first read by Marie Tuhart. Ravish is the fourth installment of the Wicked Sanctuary series. This story is written as a story of liberation and growing into your own. Lara Meyer is a divorced thriving café owner who has sworn off love. Colby Durham is a whip-maker with a shop next door. He has his sights set on her. However, he doesn't know if Lara will fit into his lifestyle. Lara is just trying to make it on her own but her wealthy well-known family keep getting involved in her decisions. When Lara decides she has her eyes set on Colby, her family do everything in their power to destroy Lara.
There were certain elements of this story that I did like. I thought the dramatic element with her ex-husband and family was nice. I would've preferred the author to go deeper. I found the book to be highly informative of the BDSM Lifestyle, however, I did not feel like it read like a story. The characters were lovable but I wanted to connect with them more.
