A beautiful romance. When these two characters learn to lean on each other, they will find more than friendship exists between them.
This book was just so good and I just lost myself in the story. I will most definitely be reading more books by this wonderful author.
Christmas Grace is written by Mindy Steele. This is the first book that I have read by this author, and it will not be my last. The author has crafted a story that will take your emotions on a journey. Grace finds herself heartbroken when an Englischer breaks her heart. However, she has a new life growing in side of her. She finds herself in Walnut Ridge, Kentucky trying to start fresh and find forgiveness. Grace is a likeable character. Cullen Graber is Grace's nearest neighbor. He does not want to associate with her - but when he sees how she is living he offers to help. Such a sweet story of forgiveness and second chances. Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.
Excellent read for the Christmas season. A story about letting go of the past, learning to forgive yourself and others, and new beginnings. One mistake should never define who you are, or how you spend the rest of your life. This is the lesson Grace Miller has to learn and it's a hard one. But, with the help of her new community and Cullen Graber, she just might find what she has been looking for all along.
What a beautiful Amish story. And the fact it centered around Christmas will make it appeal to even more people. I think this author is a new one for me, and she sure delivered a great story. I loved, loved, loved (did I say loved?) Cullen! He reminded me so much of my husband! Grace was someone readers could fall in love with and relate to as well. The wolf/dog scene? Wow! The author painted that picture so vividly I felt as though I was there. I loved the scene of Grace’s baby’s birth. And I loved how the community welcomed her in. The side story about Tess was awesome – truly an asset to the entire book. This is a book I highly recommend and loved it all – including the epilogue in the end!
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit but was not under any obligation to write a review. All opinions are strictly mine.

Well...What a nice love story. It is a wonderful reading experience about second chances. The book is beautifully written and an easy enjoyable read.
This was such a heartwarming Christmas romance all about second chances. This is sure to capture the genre’s audience.
Many thanks to Entangled Publishing and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is one book that had me reading to the end. I loved the story line and some of the characters made me laugh and others frustrated.
I was given a copy of this book for an honest review and under no obligation to give a positive one.
This is a Christmas Amish, light romance read book. When Grace is shunned by her Amish community and family because of her mistake. She does everything to make it right and she is still punished by having to go to live in an abandoned house. When the neighbor Cullen finds that Grace is in the cabin alone he must help her and try to befriend Grace. Can Grace survive being without her family and those that she is accustomed to? Will Cullen find it in his heart and faith to help Grace anyway he can?
If you like a short Amish Christmas read, this is the book for you. It is a little too slow for my liking, however, I am one that loves a good mystery and drama. This is one of those feel good stories that you would see at Christmas time on the Hallmark Channel. Great Holiday Read.

Christmas Grace was a great book and I loved how it tackles the themes of grace, mercy and forgiveness, especially in times when we feel like we have blown it or are undeserving of these three things, even after we've confessed and repented. I also love the backdrop of the Christmas season.
I loved getting to know the community of Walnut Ridge, and how everyone rallies around Grace when she is sent to live there. I also loved getting to now her aunt Tessie, who I thought was just a curmudgeon when we're introduced to her, but I loved seeing more of her character and why she is the way she is. I also enjoyed getting to know Cullen and how he cares for Grace in spite of her past mistakes. There was just a lot to learn from each of the characters in this novel, especially in how to treat those who might have been cast aside by their families.
Overall, I enjoyed Christmas Grace a lot more than I thought I would. Again, I loved messages about grace, mercy and forgiveness that are woven throughout the book. I highly recommend picking up Christmas Grace if you get the chance. 4/5 Stars.

I was recommending this book before I even finished reading it. Right away, I loved the story-telling and Grace. Grace made a mistake that a lot of us have probably made, falling in love with a man who wasn’t the one. Unfortunately for Grace, she’s outcast from her community when she becomes pregnant. Abandoned by the father of her child, Grace ends up living in a shack in strange community while she awaits the arrival of her baby. Along her journey, she gets some unexpected help from her neighbor, Cullen, as she settles into her new community, and something more than friendship begins to blossom as the two realize maybe there is hope after heartbreak. Grace comes to find acceptance, friendship, and more than she could have dreamed of in Walnut Ridge. Overall, this is a story of love and hope, even when it feels out of reach. Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for an E-ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
What I think you should know:
Christmas Grace by Mindy Steele is a contemporary Amish Romance.
What you might need to know:
Grace is an unwed mother after becoming pregnant by her “English” boyfriend. She is repentant for her choice.
What I think about this book:
While it had an unusual heroine, what started out as a sweet predictable Amish Romance had so many hidden gems that I will be thinking about it for a long time to come. When Grace is sent by her father to stay in Aunt’s community until her child is born she feels that the punishment is what she deserves. Instead of being shunned by the community like she has been by her father she is welcomed with open arms, and love that sees past her mistakes. I loved the residents of Walnut Ridge. The people show her God’s love and mercy and help her to see that since she has repented she has been forgiven. Even a villain in the story had some powerful truth “Paid Enough?..... You think you must pay for making a mistake. That is for Gott. Not Man” I really enjoyed reading this book and definitely read more by Steele in the future.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Celebrate Lit, this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.
A beautiful story of forgiveness over judgement, Christmas Grace illustrates the power of a community who seeks to understand and love. Grace cannot believe that she is the recipient of such unconditional love in a new town - so different from the unforgiving and critical way she was raised. Terrific love story on all levels.
Enjoyed this book, it was uniquely different but was really slow, it took me a long time to enjoy the characters. It did not draw me in so it was not an easy read. Loved the Christmas Spirit that was shown and enjoyed the twist at the end that I did not see coming.
Thank you to Netgalley for an opportunity to read and review this touching Christmas story that centers around an Amish community. This is a nice story of second chances, of forgiveness, and caring for others. The story is nicely written, easy to read, with great characters.
This is a sweet, clean, holiday romance. My first book by Mindy Steele and I will likely look for more in the future when I am looking for a wholesome read.
I loved this book so much that I read it twice. I absolutely adored Grace Miller, my heart ached for her and the situation she found herself in after discovering she is expecting a child. She showed bravery and determination that I couldn’t begin to fathom after she’s sent to the small village of Walnut Ridge, Kentucky. Most everyone in the community was warm and welcoming, doing what they could to help her, but, the one person who helped her the most soon became one of my favorite characters. It would be almost impossible not to love Cullen Graber, the blacksmith and neighbor who tried to make life as easy as possible for Grace.
There is so much to love about this book, from the memorable characters, the perfectly paced storyline to the jaw-dropping revelation that took me completely by surprise. Kudos to the author on another must read book. I recommend this 5-star book to anyone who enjoys well-written novels and this is the perfect for this time of year.
I received a copy from the publisher through Netgalley. All opinions are my own.
This was a quick and engrossing book to read. I started the book while eating lunch and read all afternoon. Special thanks to my crockpot for cooking so slow that it gave me extra time to read and finish before I had to make dinner.
I loved the story, the characters, the setting, all of it. The theme of learning to forgive yourself that both main characters struggled through was lovely and tender especially when they realized that happiness was possible after all.
I loved this book and you will too. It was sometimes hard to read all that Grace was going through and how hard she was trying to do what was right. But such a happy ending. I could not put it down.
Christmas Grace by Mindy Steele is just what the doctor ordered as we begin the Christmas season. Filled with tones of hope, redemption, mercy, and, of course, grace, the story will bring you smiles and some happy tears too. Grace Miller is unwed, pregnant, and Amish. Even after she confesses and is shunned, her father sends her away to live in an old cabin that barely stands. There, where she is supposed to be even more firmly punished for her sin, she finds friendship and love in ways she never imagined. It truly is a story of God always having the best plan. If you enjoy romance and Amish fiction with a message, you’ll enjoy this one! Thanks to #NetGalley and the publishers.
