Fans of royal romance will love The Billionaire Prince's Pregnant Fiancee, a well-written hidden identity story. Erik and Clara are two lonely people whose paths would never ordinarily have crossed being bound together after one passionate encounter results in an unexpected but well-timed baby.

Leslie North books are predictable but exactly what you need. I love knowing that I am going to be curling up with a quick, romantic read. I always enjoy how the characters find each other in times of struggle and somehow always manage to make each other stronger and happier.

The Billionaire Prince’s Pregnant Fiancee by Leslie North is the second book in the Undercover Princes series. After reading the first book, I decided to give this book a shot.

I’m always up for a fairy tale romance. What happen if your one-night stand ends up in pregnancy? Erik and Clara meets by chance in a wedding. They gave in to the instant attraction and spent the rest of the night together in bed. First names are really that much they knew about each other.

Not long, Clara finds herself pregnant. And Erik did what he thought the right thing to do, propose a marriage. Their romance is cliche but refreshing. It’s just so happen I love the cliche.

Yes, the second part of the Undercover Princes. After Nic being undercover in the United States as a doctor, we now have prince Erik enjoying the anonimity as a band member in London.

After singing at a friends wedding, Erik is due to leave for his Kingdom Fervian. But the night is still young and he enjoys the company of one of the waitresses, Clara.

Clara is working multiple jobs to support her parents when her mother goes through another period of illness. She hopes to save enough money to continue her education on politics.

While working as a waitress at a wedding, she feels attracted to the singer of the band. They end up having a one night stand. But several weeks later, Clara finds out she is pregnant. Since his return to Fervian, Erik-has been told that his older brother, Pelle, is sterile. which means that everyone is counting on him to produce an heir. When Clara contacts him, with the news that she is pregnant, Erik thinks all of his problems are solved: no more pressure to produce the next King no more relationship advice from his father and no more politics. So he proposes to Clara.

Clara came to Fervian with the idea to ask for some child support to raise their baby. She didn’t expect that Erik would propose. But it seems the most logical solution.

However, what Clara didn’t realize, was the total protocols and schedules she would need to adhere to. with a passion for politics and an outspoken opinion, Clara soon finds herself the focus of all tabloids. And when her actions also interfere with a big trade agreement, both Erk and Clara need to see, if they are able to survive as a future king and queen.

A nice read, full of old fashioned prejudice and some strong women who are not afraid to stand up for their rights. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This is a great book. The two main characters are Clara and Erik. They meet at a wedding she is a waitress and he is a singer. He is really a prince. They have a one night stand. Two months later Clara realizes that she is pregnant. Erik wants her to come to his kingdom and marry him. She says yes. The press is out to get her. They make Clara and Erik live awful. They find out they love one another and stand up for each other. They live happy ever after.

This was a quick read for me and I loved the romance as well as the writing. I loved how they had the immediate chemistry and also took the chance to get to know each other. I also enjoyed how they encouraged each other’s dreams and passion, even if it wasn’t conventionally royal to do so. I also appreciated how they added the birth/post-baby scene.

As usual another brilliant romance from Leslie North. Fast becoming one of my favourite authors and never fails to deliver. Loved the premise and the characters in this book.

Very enjoyable read. Clara is working as a server for a reception when she meets the lead singer of the band Erik. Erik who is playing incognito as in real life he is a prince. Prince Erik of Fervian. They end up having a one night stand and go there separate ways. Clara was studying politics at Oxford but left to help her family out at home. Clara finds out she is pregnant but does not know how to contact Erik till she sees a magazine with his picture and name. Erik goes home to find out his brother who is next in line to the throne can not have children and it is up to him to provide an heir. Erik starts looking for a suitable bride. He is contracted by the palace attorney who lets him know of a claim that he is a father of a child. He finds out its Clara who he is still very attracted too. They decide to marry. A smear campaign starts against Clara and his family is unsure if she is the right fit. What follows is a wonderful story of Erik finding this way and Clara standing up for what she believes. I enjoy all of Leslie North's books.

A very high 4 for The Billionaire Prince's Pregnant Fiancée. I was pleasantly surprised by this quick Leslie North read. I've read several North books, but they've all been of the cowboy variety. I almost passed on this one due to the cheesier-than-most title, but I'm glad I gave it a shot.

Clara is your average twentysomething Londoner, working several jobs while trying to save up money to go back to Oxford to finish her degree in politics. The third-to-last thing she expects when working a wedding is to have a one-night fling with the hunky wedding singer. The second-to-last thing she expects is that she'll find herself pregnant as a result. The actual last thing she expects is to discover that the hunky wedding singer is actually a prince of the nearby island nation of Fervia.

It is a happy coincidence then when Prince Erik discovers that it's up to him to produce the next crown prince or princess; his brother--the current crown prince--has just learned that he cannot have children. Therefore, when Clara reaches out to a royal lawyer in the hopes of getting modest child support, she's shocked to receive a proposal instead.

Clara's initial acceptance as a royal fiancée by the king and Erik's brother is a little convenient seeing as she's truly a commoner and not Fervian to boot. When Clara's obvious affinity for politics nearly creates an international incident, the king's reversal is more believable. I was willing to suspend my disbelief though because Erik and Clara are just too darned cute together. I love that she is strong and smart and knows her politics, and I adore that he sucks at it but is proud of her. Also, it doesn't hurt that he excels at making--literally--beautiful music.

Overall, I really enjoyed this cupcake of a novel.

When I think of romance, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect books to snuggle up with on any day. This one took by surprise! Leslie North is one of the best!

Okay. I admit it. Eric is my new "book boyfriend". He is a prince, but for one night he is just doing a favour pitching in for a singer friend at a wedding.. He meets Clara, who is waitressing at the wedding. and they hook up for one night, where she becomes pregnant. This story is cute, the hero and heroine real, with real reactions and feelings. A quick and really entertaining read.

This is the place where the fairy tale ends and the “cold, hard reality” of politics, poisonous paparazzi, and princely responsibilities start.
Ms. North describes both her settings, pleasures and pains well. In keeping with the traditions of this series, Holly is the godsend friend.
The book is fast-paced, and the passion with which both protagonists want the other to succeed makes this book unputdownable.
Truthfully, pick it up for captivating Clara. You won’t regret it!

A one night's stand ends in pregnancy. Then she finds out he is a prince. The story of her trying to fit into the royal household and all the insuring chaos makes for an interesting story. We see that castle life can be overrated. An entertaining tale for sure. I was entertained.

It was a sweet book, overly sweet for me.

I used to love Barbara Cartland and her books on princes but either I should have known that I have grown out of this genre and will start skipping pages just to get it through, or this book simply lacks the mastership to achieve the standard of Ms. Cartland.

The beginning and some parts in the second half were intriguing but the rest lacked any sparks or interest. The things that bugged me:

- Clara has a double shift on the night she meets Eric. Have you ever worked a double shift as a waitress? She is knackered (rightfully so), barely can stand, exhausted. She is probably drenched in sweat and her uniform smells of food and alcohol. You get the picture. I cannot imagine her tumbling into a bed with a billionaire who can have it all.

- Clara seems to be such a responsible and intelligent person who sacrifices her personal life for her parents and want to better herself but she has an one-night stand with a virtual stranger and even gets so careless that she doesn't even realize that she had unprotected sex. There is a morning-after pill after all. How would that have worked out with her double shifts, volunteering at political campaigns, helping parents and planning on returning to Oxford one day? That is so out of her character.

- Carla's natural born talent for politics is preached although she has very little experience. Most successful people in life get to where they are by not only being talented but also by working extremely hard in the subject. The glamorization of 25-year old Clara who never went even to university showing up at the trade summit and contributing is stretching.

- Carla preaches of personal freedoms when it comes to sexuality but she has no qualms of being part of monarchy in Fervia where for centuries the power is passed within the same family and people cannot elect their leaders (very little reference to other form of the government).

- Fervia's main industries are financial, insurance and entertainment (probably gambling) which are typically signs of a tax heaven. It is very unlikely that they need raw material from Aldland to produce anything. It is more likely that the cost of living is too high and most local labor supports these earlier mentioned industries so producing any other final goods on the island would not be economically viable.

- The fact that Eric dumped Clara so suddenly and asked her to immediately leave the island would have serious consequences in their trust and future relationship. I cannot imagine any woman forgiving and forgetting a few hours later. The trust would be severely broken.

- It is taken for granted that both Clara and Eric will get into Oxford, the university with one of the hardest admissions. Is that because of royal connections?

Lastly the author loves words "smirking" and "snickering" that I found immature and annoying.

I requested this book only because it was a Royal pregnancy book. I did not read the rest of the description because I love the pregnancy trope. This book follows Clara and Prince Eric’s love story. I liked how both characters stood up for what they meant and that Eric stood up to his father. For me this book was nothing special, but was a fun in between read.

The hero and heroine first met during a wedding reception in which the hero was helping a friend by being a singer of the band and the heroine was a waitress. This first meeting was just for one-night and the two would go their separate ways. Alas, something unexpected happened and their second meeting was a bit different: the hero needed the heroine for the royal succession. How will the couple adapt under these circumstances and will they end up falling in love with each other?

I enjoyed this second book of the Undercover Princes series. The story flowed smoothly and the couple faced obstacles to their happy ending, ones that they resolved together and individually. The book clearly shows the problems that the couple will face as being a prince has its own issues. The couple are distinctive, with the heroine interested in politics and the hero attuned to musical arts. The path that the hero must find to reach his happy ending felt a bit annoying at times but after he got his act together, it was smooth sailing from there. I liked the heroine's personality and how she also felt some anxiety about her role in this relationship. I also liked some secondary characters and there were also some necessary characters that I found irritating. Overall, I liked the first book better but this is a solid second book in this Undercover Prince series. Still looking forward to reading more Leslie North books in the future.

I found this an easy and enjoyable read.

The characters were enjoyable and easy to like (unlike other romance stories where there is always someone to dislike). Like a mixture of other romance stories and unlike most romance stories, the female lead (Clara) is basically able to take care of herself, which is a nice change of pace, as having a strong female lead is something I really enjoyed, with the male lead (Erik) thinking he can take care of her, but doing more damage than good.

Reading this has definitely got me intrigued with the rest of the series, in hopes that they also have strong female leads and the male lead basically being puddles.
