Cozy Case Files, A Cozy Mystery Sampler, Volume 13 5 stars

As soon as this one was offered I snapped it up. Who can resist the 2021 fall mysteries from Minotaur Books. I was fortunate to receive ARC's for three of the books from the sampler. I have already read the Jane Cleland and look forward to reading the ones by Ellie Alexander and Elizabeth Penney. The excerpts from the other featured authors did not disappoint. Diane Kelly's new series "The Mountain Lodge Mysteries - Getaway with Murder" will be on the top of my "must read" list along with the Christmas Meg Langslow book "The Twelve Jays of Christmas". (Rob and Delaney are announcing their wedding!) The other books are by Jess Dylan and M.C. Beaton which I'm sure will be excellent.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Minotaur Books for this ARC.

P.S. I hope that Ms. Kelly will continue her Paw Enforcement series - there is still a wedding to arrange and more comments from Bridget.

Thanks to Netgalley for Cozy Case Files No. 13. I always enjoy these for the sneak peeks but this one especially good. Chapter and Curse by Elizabeth Penney is a new series by the author of the Hems and Homicide series. This new series, set in England, has me eager to read the book.
Diane Kelly also has a new series, Mountain Lodge Mysteries. This first one is called Getaway with Murder. Set in the Blue Ridge Mountains with a main character who has just turned fifty. Looks good to me.
A new book by Jane K. Cleland, Jane Austen’s Last Letters, is self explanatory as to what it’s about. Plan to read this one ASAP.
A Christmas book by Donna Andrews is something I always look for in the Fall. The Twelve Jays of Christmas continues a favorite series of mine.
Also contains The Cure for What Ales You by Ellie Alexander, M.C. Beaton’s Down the Hatch by R.W. Green, and Petals and Poison by Jess Dylan. These are not my cup of tea but many will like them.

Cozy Case Files, A Cozy Mystery Sampler, Volume 13 features stories from 8 different authors. These stories consist of cozy mysteries that will be sure to capture your attention.

This is my first introduction to the Cozy Case Files, and I absolutely loved these stories. They each have their own charm and leave you wanting more. I love the idea of a sampler; it allows you to read several chapters of a story before deciding whether to get the book. I’ve been stumped on what to read lately, and rather than investing in a new book based on a short summary, I’m able to dive into a few chapters before deciding on continuing with a book. I highly recommend this sampler to anyone who is looking for their next read.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I always enjoy this free resource. Cozy Case Files 13 includes descriptions of forthcoming mysteries along with generous excerpts. The authors featured in this one include Donna Andrews; Diane Kelly; Elizabeth Penney; Ellie Alexander; Jane K. Cleland; Jess Dylan; and M. C. Beaton. The Jane K Cleland is in my TBR pile of ARCs and looks intriguing with possible Jane Austen letters having been found. Another author, Elizabeth Penney is new to me and I would like to read her novel that has a book related theme along with a trip to Cambridge, England. Other entries also look interesting. Spend time with this volume and plan your upcoming reads. Those who like their mysteries without excessive violence will get some good ideas here.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher . All opinions are my own.

I absolutely LOVE these samplers as I am a Cozy fanatic! Having the opportunity to get a preview of books by authors I follow and love is so appreciated. I read everything by Jane K. Cleland and M.C. Beaton, so these teasers are a special treat. I will also be excited to read the latest by Donna Andrews (another favorite), and others that I am not so familiar with. Thank you!
