My 8-year-old and I discovered Pacey Packer last year, quickly devouring the first two books and have been anticipating book three for months! I was thrilled to receive an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This series definitely needs be read in order to understand what’s happening, though book three includes an incredibly brief summary to get you started.

Grumpy unicorn Slasher tries to warn Pacey that mermaids aren’t the lovely creatures mythology has portrayed them to be but she’s ready to race to the underwater caverns in the search for the evil Alpha’s horn (that she sliced off and promptly lost in book two). Once again, Pacey and Slasher have to brave a dangerous adventure and confront Alpha …and hopefully without disturbing any mermaids this time.

This series is cute, clever, and funny for both children and adults. I really enjoy reading these with my daughter and we’re already looking forward to book four!
