Ive read and enjoyed the first two books in this series and I was so excited to read the third part. It can very easily be enjoyed as a standalone as each book us about one of the three girls that met in book one. This book is about Charlotte and it's the best one yet!
The story starts with her training up to become an officer in the WAAF. Charlotte is posted to London and spends the first week there in with Marion. On their first day they hear gun shots nearby and that's where they first meet DI Dan Chalmers.
What follows is a riveting read about murder, curuption in the police force, adventure and intertwined with a blossoming, slow burn romance. I loved the little catch up with the girls from the other books. It was sad to see the divide, where the rich could buy almost anything they wanted and the poor went without. I found the journey to Wick full of drama and quite the page turner to find out what happened. A really good read. I loved it.
