“The Casanova” by T. L. Swan was by far the best I’ve read in this series. Elliott and Kate are very likeable characters that have that love/hate relationship between an employee who annoys the heck out of their boss and vice versa. This story did not disappoint, and it had all the makings from angst, handsome men, steamy intimate scents, very laughable moments, and drama. There is so much banter between the two that you just knew something had to give. Realizing you have an attraction to your boss and your boss to his employee, well it makes for a sinful relationship. There were moments in the story where I found myself laughing out loud and coming to tears at the comical scenes. Just hilarious. Jamison and Tristan are mentioned here and there, however introduction is given to Christopher, the youngest of the Miles brothers. This book is romance with steamy, funny, and loveable. Highly recommend the read if you want a relaxing and funny read. A solid 5-Stars.
Thank you NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for this ARC for my fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.
Thank you to NetGalley for my ARC
This book hugely exceeded my expectations! Kate works at Miles Media and she and Elliot Miles have been at each other’s throats for a long time. Neither gets along, but that’s about to change.
The transition from not liking each other to being attracted to each other felt realistic (as much as you can expect realism in this type of book). Even more impressive though, was her being able to show how well the two of them got along and became friends. The dialogue was really. I genuinely felt like they had a strong connection, and fit together well emotionally.
Elliott was written as both a strong, but also tender character. I appreciate us, as I don’t like when they are written as too much alpha male and come off as a douche.
The romance, this was a long book, but I never felt like it started to drag or loose momentum. 4 1/2 stars, but rounding up because it was such an enjoyable weekend. Looking forward to reading more of her books
Just finished reading The Casanova. Such a beautiful and enchanted story. I laughed, I cried, I got angry, I swooned, I loved it. It was a sensational story.
What a wonderfully fun and delicious read! Elliot and Kate have just become one of my all time favorite couples!
Kate had a fiery attitude that kept Elliot on his toes. He never intimidated her and she was more than capable of holding her own against him in every way. She was just an average girl with nothing special to recommend her and her struggle with that caused me some serious moments of heartache when it played a part in their story.
There’s nothing more I enjoy than a great boss/employee trope with a boss like Elliot Miles. He had quite the reputation which made it all the more enjoyable to watch him fall in love. And oh my, him and the various incidents that occurred at Enchanted had me laughing out loud so hard I startled my kittens.
I absolutely loved the chemistry between this couple. Watching them each fall in love as their relationship evolved was not only hot, but cute and so much fun. Especially once Elliot really lets her see who he is at heart.
This book totally consumed me. When I wasn’t reading, I was thinking of Elliot and Kate and what wonderfully delightful things would happen next. Once I reached a certain point, I refused to close my Kindle until I reached the last page. There was then an exceptionally awesome moment that had me clutching it even tighter and then the most perfect epilogue. As soon as I finished I wanted to relive it all again.
I absolutely LOVE THE MILES BROTHERS!!! I just have to start with that. I liked Jameson, I adored Tristan, and now Elliot has wormed his way into my soul.
The Casanova takes us to London where Elliot Miles heads the UK division of Miles’ Media. Here we meet Kate Landon, the head of IT, and Elliot and Kate share a mutual dislike for each other.
This book was one of those rare occasions where I actually liked both main characters. I’ll admit, in the beginning I was leery of Elliot. He was a total asshole, but it becomes clear that his being an asshole is a façade to protect himself. In truth, Elliot is a romantic and when he’s not being a complete jerk, he’s very endearing.
Kate’s life is drastically different from Elliot’s. Where Elliot has his family, specifically his brothers to rely on, Kate’s family was torn apart when her parents died. While she and her brother have a good relationship, neither of them has a good relationship with their older sister. Kate’s limited support system contributes to her trust issues. I really liked Kate. She wasn’t your typical quiet, mousy, shy Brainiac She was feisty, she scrappy, she was fiery, she took no shit from Elliot which made the banter between them so perfect.
This enemies to lovers, office romance was an enjoyable read that gave some great giggles. I’m a huge fan of tropes with families and considering how Elliot talks about how much he cares for his brothers, I would like to have seen more interaction between him and all of his brothers. There were a couple of things stopping me from giving this a five-star read, one being the dating app. Elliot learns his picture is being used on a profile to basically catfish. The only way he can remove it is to log into the profile. Once he does this, he comes across a profile for a Pinkie Laroo who just happens to be Kate who has created a profile at the urging of her friends. I liked the idea of that storyline, but something about it fell flat for me. The other was Kate’s experience with art/painting. From Jameson and Tristan’s books we know Elliot is obsessed with an artist, he finally has the chance to come face to face with this artist and all I can say is fate is fate and, what’s meant to be will be. What didn’t work for me was Kate’s experience only seems to come up at the end of the book which is strange considering Elliot tells her about his obsession with an artist.
Definitely add this to your beach read for the remainder of the summer
This book was a great enemies to lovers/ fake dating tropes that were in this book. I enjoyed the witty banter between the main characters and found myself just drawn into this romance book. It was cut, steamy and had enough heartbreak/angst but still ended in a happy place
I couldn't wait to get my hands on The Casanova! Elliott Miles CEO of Miles Media in London. Kate Landon is the IT Specialist for Miles Media. And they can't stand each other until one day.
This enemies to lovers & office romance story is full of hilarious moments, witty banter, and HOT chemistry. I love how their relationship grows and in the end Elliott truly understood what Kate needed from him.
I can't wait to see what T.L. Swan has in store for Christopher.
This book was extremely steamy and at times problematic but I couldn't put it down. The tension and chemistry was off the charts! I love the enemies to lovers trope and this one did not disappoint. It's also a grump trope but it's more a grumpy heroine and a boss/workplace romance trope. This was also a modern retelling of You've Got Mail, which is one of my favorite movies but if You've Got Mail was filled with lots of sex.
I've never read this author before and now I want to read all the backlist books by her! She can write a really good romance! This book was the third in the series and I will definitely be checking out the first two. Like most romance series, this one was fine as a stand alone.
While this book had a LOT of sexy scenes, it also had depth. Kate is dealing with the grief over losing her parents suddenly in a car crash. Eliot has his own issues from being in a powerful family. The You've Got Mail storyline was played perfectly. It wasn't too prominent but it was just enough to move the story line along. I also loved the addition of new roommate Daniel and the tension that brought.
If you are looking for a very steamy romance, I definitely recommend this one.
*Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy. Opinions are my own.
Once again TL Swan delivers a story that's a perfect mixture of smut, drama and laughter. This was one of my most anticipated books for the summer and it did not disappoint. It ticked off all the boxes you would expect from an enemies to lovers romance trope.
I went into the book thinking I know who Elliot The Casanova's love interest is but it started off differently. There we meet Kate, who works at the Miles Media London. She is sassy, with attitude and a little bit crazy. I loved that about her. What was surprising was Elliot. I was not expecting him to be this old romantic soul with the biggest heart, searching for love. I was swooning over that. The story does start off a bit slower, with a lot of tension between the two until they finally give in. The romance really picks up at about 30% mark, and I was eating it up. It had me falling head over heels for these two and grinning. What I loved the most probably was the groveling at the end. I am a total sucker for good long groveling and this book had it. Kate really needed the time to be on her own and I am glad she got it.
We also get to see all the other Miles brothers make an appearance, as well as the cross over characters from TL's Mister series. Those scenes were always filled with great banter and laughter.
Not a surprising twist at the end, bit I still enjoyed how it all played out. If you are looking for something sweet and steamy, give this book a go.
Book 3 is in the bag baby!!! Thank you Netgalley for the ARC
Elliot Miles, another Miles Media stud muffin, lol
I loved this book, mostly. The enemies-to-lovers, office romance, boss employee tropes was ringing my bell.
Elliot and Kate hated, hated each other, until they didn't. And while the switch was a bit abrupt, I rolled with it. Swan also writes dominant male characters with heart and strong females who gives as much as they get, so that definitely kept me going
What I liked:
The continuation of the Miles men and getting to see all of them mentioned in this book was very lovely. I liked that.
Elliot and Kate was hot hot hot, like set fire to the rain hot
Oh the Smut was real, and a lot, if you are going to commit to this series, there will be smut, no complaining. The dual POVs helped to even out the playing field as well. This book was also funny as hell, this entire series is hilarious, book 2 takes the cake for me even though this one had it’s moments too.
What poked my little pet peeves?
Elliot literally sees the person he hates the most in a "non-work" outfit and his ding-a-ling went BOING!! Boy bye. Also, I was not a fan of some of his very selfish choices, but, I prevailed and liked it very much, thank you. Will I read more from this series? Absolutely
The Casanova by T.L. Swan was a swoony and steamy enemies to lovers office romance that took me to an emotional rollercoaster. I went from laughing to sighing to getting hit by angst.
Kate cannot stand her boss, Elliot Miles aka CEO of the Miles Group. He has been rude and annoying to her and it seems irritating her at work is definition of his fun. Now two things happen. One, her new roommate and personal stylist by profession starts to change what she wears and that sexy kitten behind her serious IT professional personality comes out and Elliott definitely notices that. Second, she started chatting with a stranger in a dating app with a false profile who can actually be Elliott! Now online Edgar is so sweet and deep and thoughtful. And offline Elliot wants only a sexual arrangement. What will Kate do?
So I have mixed feelings about this book. First 30% was amazing. I was enjoying Elliot's dual personality. I mean the cold and calculating and closed one that he put up for the world. And then the softer and charming and wicked fun personality. Kate is definitely a brilliant heroine. She is sassy and sensitive and has a lot of recent emotional burden but that doesn't mean she will give in easily to the casanova's flirtation. The enemies to lovers part was so good. And then..it slowed down a lot. I felt like I am on a vacation..everything going so well, so nice and the chemistry is uber hot. And I was starting to think what about all the issues? Elliot's commitment phobia. Kate's fear. None of them ready to face their feels. And at 70%..BAM. Here comes the heartbreaking angst! I felt the entire story went upside down and I didn't know how to process all the emotional attacks so fast. And I am not sure I have forgiven Elliot for that twist yet. I am pretty sure I am still raging on behalf of Kate. But they did find a HEA and I am happy for them!
I reviewed an early copy voluntarily through Netgalley
When I am in the mood for a romance, my almost-bulletproof trope is funny enemies-to-lovers. I say almost because it has to have comedy. I don't like bitter bickering, especially on the same note, and I really hate abuse in the name of love.
I almost bailed on this one because the bickering at the beginning was so over the top. But then the heroine's roommates talked her into signing up on an online dating app, and her profile had me snorting and snickering so much that I stayed with it. Then the hero, who so far did not seem like the type at all to even look at an online dating app (why, when he's been established as a super hot, billionaire man-ho who merely needs to look at a supermodel or famous actress and she hops right into the sack?) put in a profile even funnier (if you have a sixth grade sense of humor like I do).
The two begin an unlikely online friendship, at first not knowing who the other is, while the battle is going on; meanwhile, in a total stalker move, the hero watches the heroine dancing around at the copy machine when she thinks she's alone, and his hormones rocket to DEFCON 1. Though part of him is in love with a mysterious painter, whose work he has been paying millions to collect.
Oh, and enter the creepy sister.
Shenanigans ensue before the mattress-crashing, headboard-banging whoopee. Which there is a lot of. At this point, I realized that this is a broad-strokes, caricature sort of romance. The roommates are merely there in service to the heroine. The female especially is barely one dimensional. The male one, Daniel, began intriguing, but his arc never goes anywhere when he's not accommodating the heroine with expensive clothes and suchlike, then takes a turn that had me going ???
Saving graces were the humor, when it appeared. Given the very broad strokes, I also granted the motivation for the sisters' lack of relationship and what led them there, and the twist at the end. The hero is problematical all the way through, but even he turns out to have his vulnerabilities, and so it all came together for the HEA.
The best reader for this romance I think would be those who don't mind the hero being an Alphabag most of the way, before lots and lots and lots of window-shattering, bell-ringing whoopee cause him to change. Let's face it, Beauty and the Beast has been around in many forms ever since storytelling got written down.
Oh, this was seriously good! So very entertaining with a bit of everything you can think to add mixed in, blending so well in this journey of love, be it the fairy-tale portion, office romance, or the down and dirty servings between Kate and Elliot, and all these were most certainly fu-hot. Enemies to lovers, fated it all applies.
The upheavals, a twist I never dreamed of, and the old-fashioned wooing had my emotions pinging all happily, or sadly, every which direction while reading.
I always love the bits of wit and humor no matter the scenario, and this has fur babies or feathers lol, and rather unorthodox ones at that, but all insanely amusing to me.
I have not read the first books of this series...yet, but would love to. Not needed, just wanted, as this is a stand alone with an HEA.
I received an ARC through NetGalley and Montlake UK. I am giving all my own opinions voluntarily.
„All those years, all that time… it was you.”
The Casanova was one of my most anticipated reads this year and T.L. Swan didn’t disappoint! Kate and Elliot’s office romance is delicious. An enemies to lovers goodness, filled with banter, steam and angst only Swan can deliver. I was completely immersed in this story, unable to put it down even for a second. Those Miles brothers are totally irresistible!
I love Elliot and his possesive alpha personality. Sure, he’s cocky and there were times when I wanted to smack him in the face, but it only shows that although someone seems perfect on the paper, in reality everyone has flaws. It makes his character relatable and when it came to groveling, I adored him even more.
Kate is my girl crush. I love a heroine with a backbone, who gives as much as she gets. Her sarcasm game is on point and I really liked the banter between her and Elliot.
These two were fire together. I liked their relantionship’s development and how naturally everything progressed. There were some roadblocks on their way to the happily ever after, but the whole journey was entertaining, heartwarming and incredibly passionate. I loved it!
The Miles High Club series gained another unputdownable, must-read book. The Casanova is everything you can expect from a romance novel- it’s sinfully sexy, a little bit angsty, sometimes funny and totally addicting. T.L. Swan’s wiritng is amazing and I cannot wait to immerse myself in her words once again in the next book!
BOOK REVIEW: The Casanova by @tlswanauthor
4 Stars
Smut level: 4.5/5
The Casanova is the 3rd book in T.L. Swan's Miles High series. I highly recommend reading the first 2 books before this one, not just because this book will make more sense but also because they are really good!
The Casanova would have been a 4.5 or even 5 star rating for me if there hadn't been a misuse of chronic illness. The lead female Kate suffers from Endometriosis, an illness that I have lived with for over 17 years. I was excited when I first saw she had Endo as representation in fiction is rare. Unfortunately my excitement didn't last. Despite having Endometriosis and whilst on her period, Kate can go out clubbing, go to work and life goes on as normal. She only seems to have pain for 1 day in her period, she has no other pain and can do anything she wants. She also has no pain from sex, even rough sex. This is NOT a valid representation of Endo. Every woman is different but I have never known anyone with endo to be able to live like this and I have spoken to hundreds of women with Endo. It made the illness seem like nothing when in fact it ruins lives, destroys internal organs and causes insane amounts of pain.
Despite my feelings towards the use of Endometriosis, I really loved this book!
Our lead female Kate is an absolute star. She is smart, funny, relatable and I loved her from the start. The lead male Elliott is a really interesting character who has more layers than an onion! I really liked this about him and how Kate brought out new sides to him. The romance was effortless and their connection was easy to see. The smut was well written and there was a decent amount of it too! My favourite thing was the banter and great humour between Kate and Elliott, it was a joy to read!
Despite my obvious problem, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend this series to any adult romance lovers. Prepare to have your heart stolen by the Miles Brothers!
Please note that I was #gifted this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
I need to read more TL Swan books, Elliott and Kate’s story is fantastic! A superbly written book that delivers it all! An amazing storyline that not only takes the reader through the ups and downs of romance, add in the sexy scenes and adoration from Eliott- WOW!
I particularly enjoyed the moments where I laughed until I cried, the animals and hard surfaces!!
Huge congratulations to Fenella and thanks to Amazon Publishing UK, Montlake and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this fabulous book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A well written book that is a favorite of mine. I loved the story. The writing was great. The book is a 5 star read. I strongly recommend it!

I received a copy of this book for free, and I leave My review voluntarily.
TL Swan is seriously addicted to the thrill of writing and can't imagine a time when she wasn't. She resides in Sydney, Australia, where she is living out her own happily ever after with her husband and their three children
“I guess I’m just not that into you.”
Kate is an IT manager at a media company that the Miles family owns. Her boss, Elliot, grinds her gears like no other. They can’t get along. Until Elliot sees Kate when she doesn’t think anyone is watching- suddenly the media declared “Casanova” is smitten by the one person that can’t stand the sight of him. Fate is fickle.
This book has to be broken into parts simply because many elements have to be processed.
The characters are all well done, and I enjoyed the fact that despite Elliot being the typical billionaire alpha, Kate was still a strong, intelligent, stubborn leading lady. While she was willing to bend to Elliot in certain circumstances, she ultimately held her own and did not get forced into anything.
The romance build-up was quite tumultuous, almost high school level of yo-yo dating. But it worked well within the storyline and with the characters. The arc Elliot took throughout this novel was quite extraordinary, and I am pleased to say he went from zero to hero.
While the steamy scenes were heavy, in my opinion, they took a backseat to the realization that falling in love, and being in love, can be terrifying. I found this aspect so well represented, and I identified with both characters as they worked through their feelings together and independently.
There is a twist I didn’t see coming, and it melted my heart. Who knew that beneath a steamy office romance would be a dreamy love story that makes you sigh out loud?
I enjoyed this book a lot more than I anticipated. I wasn’t sure how I would feel, considering this is part of a series I haven’t read, from a relatively new to me author. But I very much enjoyed this novel and the chaos that is happily ever after.
I loved reading about Elliott and Kate. Elliot was such a romantic at heart. I loved how sassy Kate was. This story was both amazing and funny. No spoilers. I hope there are more books in this series. I was given advance copy for a voluntary review.
Received an ARC for my review.
The Casanova is the third installment in the Miles High Club, following the Miles Brothers. This book is all Elliot Miles. Granted I had not read the first 2 books in the series but it did not affect my enjoyment of the book and this one can be read as a standalone.
Elliot Miles is the CEO of the London branch of Miles Media, one of the largest media companies in the world. Elliot is your typical Hero. Gorgeous, rich, dominating, alpha.
Kathryn Landon isn't your typical heroine. She is a slightly uptight head of IT that like to verbally spar with Elliot. She doesn't put up with his BS and she's constantly pushing him.
Sounds hot? Well, at first it's not. They literally hate each other. There is no attraction between them and they don't even like being in the same room. Of course that changes pretty early on when Elliot spies on Kathryn in the copy room dancing around unabashedly in her tiny red netdress. He doesn't realize it's her at first but soon he can't think of anything but her.
What I really enjoyed about this book is that both Elliot and Kathryn are not what they first seem. There are sides to them both that when uncovered, endear them to the readers and each other. I also loved their banter. Just because they start sleeping together (which is all they do at first), they don't stop antagonizing the other. It's such fun to see them continue to be genuine to themselves even when starting a new relationship. And while Elliot is a typical alpha, especially in bed, you find that he has a sensitive side. He loves art. He protects the ones he loves.
However, the twist made me want to shove a red hot poker up his butt. LOL. He really screws up the relationship. His grovel is good. I always think grovels can be better though. The twist wasn't something I entirely saw coming. I had suspected part of it and was trying to piece some of it together but it's not a twist I've ever read before. So kudos to TL Swan for that!
Overall I really enjoyed the book. I love that Kathryn isn't your typical heroine and that Elliot wasn't your typical alpha. Their relationship was fun to see blossom and you root for them the entire time.
