What an amazing 6 star story this was. I devoured this page turner while relaxing on the beach.
Elliott can’t tolerate Kate, his IT manager. It’s hate for both of them. There’s a fine line between love and hate. They are about to find out how thin that line is.
This was a fun, highly entertaining read that had me reading non stop while lounging on the beach. I loved everything about this story. It was addicting and captivating. It was funny at times. Bottomline this is a must read.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Unfortunately I could not get into this novel largely due to misogynistic male lead, Elliot. He's rude, insufferable, arrogant and so incredibly disrespectful to the heroine. When he finds a security footage of her dancing provocatively he turns stalkish. KAT needed to file a sexual harassment charge against himnot fall in love with him. Just couldn't stomach the rest of it.
TL Swan has done it again! I absolutely LOVED this book! The Takeover has been my favorite thus far in the Miles High Club series but I think Elliot (The Casanova) may be my new favorite Miles. It starts as an enemies to lovers and I was living for the witty banter and blooming romance between Kate Landon and Elliot. Once I started reading this I could not put it down. The characters were complex and the plot twist had my jaw on the floor. It had me laughing out loud multiple times and I adored all of their witty banter back and forth throughout the book. The story is swoon worthy, heartwarming, and spicy in the BEST way and I 10/10 recommend picking it up, or any book in this series for that matter! I can't wait for the next installment :)
** Review for ARC copy through NetGalley**
Ok so I read the Stopover and TheTakeover so fast and are it up! Then was so sad I couldn’t read Cassanova as it wasn’t released. But oh the surprise once I saw it on NetGalley!
So thankful that I received a copy because I couldn’t wait! And let me tell you it did not disappoint!
Elliot was everything! And it typical Miles Brother’s fashion he did frustrate me at times but his development and his heart sucked me in. My boy was simping hard by the end!
Kate was so fascinating. I loved see her open herself up again and because the person she wanted to be and find the life she wanted.
We have:
-Hate to Love
-Rivals-to-Lovers
-Workplace romance
-Jealous dancing
-Angry confessions
-GROVEEEEELLLLL
-plot twists!!!
- so much more
The over arcing theme of “Are things meant to be or are they simply a matter of circumstances?”was always pulling threads at all my theories. Deciding between what you think you want and what is meant for you.
Their romance developed so differently from the other books and yet it made me love it so much more. I laughed and I cried. I even had to stop and tan myself from some of the spicey scenes!
And don’t get me started on the rest of the Miles Brother’s and their families cameos! My heart was full I was so happy!!
Absolutely loved it!
This is hard book to rate. I really enjoyed Kate's character. She is strong, loving, and witty. Her past grief has sort of stunted her relationships and this book is about her moving forward. With the help of her flatmates she starts down that path. I would give her 4/5 stars because she was great. Elliott was hard to like. He makes bad decisions, has these high expectations on how Kate should be when it comes to me, and it was annoying. In the end, I didn't really feel he deserved Kate.
This book was amazing!! Absolutely hysterical seriously. Elliot and Kate seriously make the funniest couple with some serious chemistry!! The part at his estte with the anmals made me lol and the GG comment in his letter. I enjoyes this book so much. They were so good together and the ending was amazing!!
This is my first book by this author, so I have not read the earlier books in this series. We have an enemies-to-lovers in the office here, both my jam.
Elliot and Kathryn have been at odds with each other for years. He is the CEO, she the Head of IT, so they have to work together but he actually offers her money to resign. Until he sees her on the office CCTV camera in a netball dress, dancing.
Kathryn has lost her parents in a car crash 7 years ago and still mourns their loss. She lives with a flatmate and they welcome a new (male) flatmate called Daniel, who is a personal stylist and choses Kathryn as his new project. She changes her appearance... and Elliot seems very interested. Which I mostly don't like, but here I accepted it.
Elliot has always been looking for The One and he is convinced he will know when he meets her. He is also entranced by the paintings of a certain female artist. When he gets feelings for Kate, he is not sure it is just temporary or that she is The One. As Kate and Elliot are also communicating via a dating app under aliases, this is an integral part of the plot.
This book has so many funny scenes and I loved the banter between Elliot and his brothers, the whole animal thing and the steamy interactions between the main characters. There were several 'fate' references and this all comes together nicely in the end. I do think Elliot is a bit immature for his age in certain things but I loved the things he did in the end to win Kate back.
Overall a good story and I look forward to reading more of this author.
This was an epic read. Just full of angst and feels. I was swooning page after page. Elliot was so driven, cold and dreamy. I loved the complexity of his character. His flaw was his undoing and his heart. Pinkie ie Katheryn Landon was witty, smart and most of all real. I love the layers of these characters. The side characters offered depth and comedy. It was overall a great book. It ended properly with no stone unturned. It was also lovely to get an update about the other brothers.
So I guess Christopher is up next. Please make it age gap with a powerful and cunning woman.
I was so excited for this book because I really enjoyed the first 2 books (especially the second book in the series, the Takeover, about Tristan.) However, I admit that I became a little lost with this book. I still enjoyed it- there was some fun banter, a little bit of “you’ve got mail” twist and the animals. Those scenes made me laugh out loud. I also adored the scenes with the brothers all together. They also made me chuckle and I loved revisiting the brothers (the wives were less present).
That said, the weakest parts for me were the main couple. They hated each other but then one scene with Kate dressed up and dancing made all the difference? Seems shallow. Elliott had an anger problem and bother we’re quite immature. Case in point- they went to a work function and they couldn’t come out as a couple. Someone sat next to Kate and was talking to her so he decides he needs to make her jealous by flirting with someone else. He is in his mid 30s!
The inevitable falling out (typical of romance novels) was toeing the line of unacceptability. I’m not sure I would have taken him back. Again, this cemeteries around an immature notion of love. Overall, this is a 3.5 star
I have purchased the audiobooks for the last 2 books and will likely do so again for this book. Perhaps listening to it will make me like Elliot. My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an early copy!
5 "Extradinorary" Stars ... E I E I O
A fantastic addition to the series! I laughed, I swooned and I even shed some tears. I loved the way Kate stood up to Elliott ... she didn't let him get away with anything. She is so sarcastic! At the beginning I really didn't like Elliott AT ALL ... what a jerk the way he treated Kate ... well everyone really. But after awhile I warmed up to him as he is really a romantic at heart. The part where it was the morning of Elliott's birthday, I laughed soooo hard there were tears running down my face ... just wait till you read it (I won't say anymore on that because I don't want to spoil it for others). I loved the banter between the brothers ... very realistic.
Even though I LOVED this book ... Tristan is still my absolute favorite brother ... hands down! But don't get me wrong ... I would take any one of them ... lol!
Kate has worked for Miles Media for 7 years. Elliott and her have hated each other from the very first day. One night when Elliott is watching the security camera, he sees the back of a blond bombshell dancing in the photocopy room and he is shocked when she turns around ... Kate ... was she always that sexy? You know that fine line between love and hate? Well, it's about to be crossed.

Favorite Quote:
“This is what sex is supposed to be like.
Hot, hard, and sweaty.
Where the rules are: there are no rules.”
The heroine: Kate Landon (a.k.a. Pinkie Laroo) - an IT manager at Miles Media. Kate lost her parents six years ago and it affected her greatly, she basically shut down her emotions. She is afraid of getting too close to people for fear that they will die and leave her broken-hearted.
The Hero(es): Elliot Miles (a.k.a. Edgar Moffatt) - CEO of the London and German divisions of Miles Media. His brother Christopher works with him at the London office and his two other brothers Jameson and Tristan work at the New York office. Elliot doesn’t date because every time he has in the past, the paparazzi follows him around and posts everything about his relationships which ends up scaring any “real” girls away. He has been dubbed “Casanova” Miles by the press.
The story: Kate and Elliot have worked together for years but always hated each other and fought like crazy. But when Miles is checking out the security feeds one night to see where in the building his brothers are, he comes across a feed of Kate in a short red netball dress dancing in front of a copy machine and feels something for the first time in years.
The interactions between Elliot and Kate are amusing and some are super steamy. I like that the books in this series are long and there are plenty of intimate scenes. Elliot is hot, demanding and dominant and I really liked him. He is also a romantic at heart, which isn’t always a good thing since he thinks that despite the feelings he is having for Kate, she is not “the one”.
Elliot’s romantic heart tells him that when he meets “the one”, he will immediately know it from the first time he sees her. Like he will feel the earth move or something and just know. Since he felt nothing more than annoyance for years after meeting Kate, he thinks he just wants her for her body.
The story was really good and I just loved the fact that they were constantly messaging one another anonymously on a dating site and through that, Kate got more insight into what Elliot was feeling since she was aware from very early on that her friend Edgar was in fact Elliot.
There was a lot of back and forth about their relationship in this book, but I guess I like that more in some books than in others. I don’t know why it bothers me sometimes when the story alternates between fighting and making up, between uncertainty and steamy scenes, but I enjoyed it all in this book and I will most definitely be waiting for Christopher Miles’s story next.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
Wow wow wow a truly fantastic read, laugh out loud bits along with very steamy love scenes, a terrific hero to match our super heoine, love this book
DNF at page 124.
I was honestly kind of excited for this book - enemies to lovers when the tension has been brewing for a good few years at the point we meet them.
HOWEVER
I just couldn't find anything I liked about either of our leads or any of the side characters, and the writing did nothing for me. I also couldn't tell where this book was set and I HATE that in books. There was a mention of Harrod's so I thought, ok, London, but then reference to Emergency and not A&E, and the various other Americanisms through me. THEN I discover the writer is an Australian and not an American so I'm even more confused, and honestly, I just could not get into this book. I gave it about 25% to pull me in and it just wasn't for me. Shame.
Monday mornings are bad enough without the day starting with a meeting with Kathryn from IT. For some reason, they seem to clash over everything and their arguments need Elliot's brother Christopher to come and rescue him. Why does she frustrate him so much? Although a glimpse of someone dancing at the photocopier one evening in a netball outfit has Elliot taking notice until he realises that it is Kathryn.
Elliot Miles has to be the most annoying man on earth but he is handsome and has the most gorgeous blue eyes. Having lost her parents six years also Kathryn (Kate) has been living a shell of her former life not pushing herself or making an effort. With her new flatmate slowly getting her out of her shell and dressed to impress. Gathering Elliot's attention at a function outside of work.
A fearless private person he wants to keep his life with Kate behind closed doors. With their passion overflowing in the bedroom. But their communication skills need work as they encounter hurdles along the way. Following your heart was never easy but what happens when you realise you've made a mistake?
Thank you to NetGallery for providing me with an arc for a non-spoiler review!
I am a huge TL Swan fan! So you betcha I have read The Stopover & The Takeover, so was more than excited to jump into the 3rd book in the Miles High Club series about the Miles brothers. Other TL Swan fans will also recognise other names from her Mr series featured as well. You don't have to have read the previous two books as this can be read as a standalone, however I do recommend to get the real feel of the world Tee has created/written.
Elliot Miles is the CEO of Miles Media in London. He is a 34 bachelor, who as much loves his job - Is looking for a romantic change. He dreams of that "love at first sight" & romantic story to tell his children. What he didn't count on what Kathryn Landon. The IT manager at Miles Media who does anything & everything to disobey Elliot, even if he is the CEO of a international multi media company. She is independent, stubborn & a strong woman, who knows what she wants & how she wants to be treated. And the best thing about that? Elliot loves that. He finds himself more than respecting her but needing her more in his life. Even if she isn't his "love at first sight".
Elliot & Kate start as a friend with benefits to escape from their own lonely lives. But as everyone knows, friends with benefits can't work if feelings start to emerge. Which of course they do. Except what happens when Elliot is presented with his fairy tale moment, with another woman?
I devoured this book within 24 hours. 5/5 stars with 3/5 steam. Have pre-ordered the paperback (due out August 26th) which I can't wait to reread in the future! Thanks again Tee for an addictive steamy romance!
This book is everything I needed to get out of a reading slump! I love all the miles brother, and Elliot may just be my favourite (although for the longest time it was Tristan)! Definitely give this book a read!
I have enjoyed Ms. Swan's in the past, but this has not been the case with her last two books. The steam is there, but even that gets old after a while, and I simply was left wanting more story and character development. I am aware Ms Swan has a rabid fanbase and I am not writting this to be unkind. I am stating this as a reviewer that has read a lot of her books. The arguing scenes between Elliot and Kate were reminiscent of Mr.Gracia and at times I felt like I was reading the same book. The twist towards the end of the book felt a little too late. I don't know if there's pressure to produce and release more books, but I really miss the quality of the first two books of this series and her other books.
Love this author, her books are always exceptional and this is another great book. I love her characters
She brings them to life in this story! Funniest book ever!

As much as this was touted as an enemies to lovers, I didn't really buy that. That being said this was my favourite in the series so far, but I haven't had the best experience with this series so far but I keep trying to find a T.L. Swan book I love. While I didn't find it here, I'm not giving up and I didn't hate this like I did the stopover. Elliott and Kathryn were fine and I actually laughed a little. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own. 3.5 Stars
„You feel more at home at my home… or maybe it’s me that feels at home when you’re there.“
The positives:
↣ Elliott is such an interesting love interest. He has this very playful, sweet, romantic and profound side, but he can also be so possessive, domineering and imposing. I enjoyed his character a lot, he was different from many other heroes I have read.
↣ Every book in this series so far has managed to make me laugh and this one was no exception. In every book, there is one specific reaccuring plotpoint that is absolutely hilarious and works so well with the story that I cannot help but laugh out loud while reading. All I‘ll say is 🦆🐏🐐
↣ Every time all the other Miles men had a scene together made me so happy. These four brothers have such a wonderful bond and I love their banter. Also, every cameo of Tristan and his family was a balm to my The Takeover-missing heart.
↣ I really loved the ending of this book, everything came together so perfectly. There was a conflict at the end and we also had a mystery throughout the book and those two things wove together to make for a very satisfying finish to this romance.
The negatives:
↣ The hate to love didn‘t really work in this book. They did dislike each other in the beginning, yes, but it only took Elliott seeing Kathryn in a dress one time to change his mind about her. Out of nowhere they found each other irresistibly sexy and I didn‘t understand the quick change of heart. I would have liked there to be a better transition between the hate- and the attraction-stage.
Huge thank you to Netgalley and the author for providing me with an ARC of this book.
