An amazing Enemies-to-Lovers with STEAMY spice. Elliot can dirty talk with the best of them.
Elliot is a very private person by nature. He doesn’t flaunt around his love affairs (at least not serious ones). TL Swan wrote amazing in the beginning showing how much these two truly despised working with each other and the way she wrote Elliot changing his mind was mind altering because she wrote it in such a way that had to feeling it in you. All of the sudden he saw an attraction and not the annoying women who made him infuriated.
Watching them fall in love when they were supposed to be “Friends with Benefits” was breath taking because it really seemed as if they just couldn’t control it.
I loved how this story was wrapped up because I truly could see it coming but at the same time TL Swan didn’t give much away through the book. It had me in tears Reading Kate go through the heart break had me in tears at her pain.
Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the opportunity to read this ARC. This honest review was based off my experience reading an ARC, which in no way biased me.
First off, I would like to say I’m a big fan of TL Swan’s work. I have read the other two books in The Miles High Club, (The Stopover and The Takeover) along with the first book in her Mr. Series (Mr. Masters).
TL Swan writes banter for enemies to lovers that is amazing, and the best part is that it starts almost immediately. Right at the beginning of chapter 1, Elliot and Kate show their hatred for each other and its already made me smile. Their banter isn’t just in their dialogue, but even in their snarky emails/anonymous messages to each other. TL Swan’s character’s dirty talk is immaculate. As well as how she writes smut. One of my favorite things about this author is that is good plot and good smut.
Elliot is the “guy obsessed with the girl” and honesty it’s working for him. I will say Elliot is very different from the characters I’ve read. He’s such a hopeless romantic he doesn’t even notice his dream girl has been under his nose for YEARS, and like he doesn’t even realize what he has right there.
“Elliot is a dreamer,” she continues. “He lives in a world where he is forced to be a realist, but in his heart, he is a romantic.”
I thought that none of TL Swan’s books would come close to how much I love The Takeover, but I’m happy to say that this one got VERY close. I love this so much. It deserves the 5 stars I rated it. This book made me laugh, made me anxious FOR THEM, and almost cry. I had a great time.
Reading The Stopover and The Takeover is not necessary to read this book, but I would highly suggest it. For context and because they are also very good.

Oh boy...
Elliot is a romantic at heart and I love him!
I swear that I was scared of getting another Jameson (The Stopover), and daydreaming about another Tristan (The Takeover).
At the beginning I confess that I wasn't impressed... until at least 35%, the book wasn't delivering nothing special.
That's probably why my review is missing a star.
Elliot was a total jerk, but not the interesting brooding type, but the Jameson type... The kinda of guy that raises hell into everyone's life when things don't work the way he wants, and is in the verge of a heart attack because he's always stressed out.
Kate was an interesting character since the beginning... A little extra on her attitude, because let's be real... Who would talk to the CEO of a huge media empire, and also your boss, the way she talked to Elliot? But it was entertaining to see their interactions and the evolution of their interest in reach other.
Things got a lot better after they accept their attraction and the book took another direction entirely. One that I really loved!
Elliot starts to show his better side and Kate let go of her bitchness to be funny and vulnerable in a good way.
Their connection was amazing, super hot, and you could see clearly the growth of their feelings through each other.
Elliot as a sweet and romantic, but totally possessive and dominant farm man, is definitely worth every heart ache!
Another positive thing is all the interactions between the Miles brothers! They are truly an unique and united family! Looooved to see that Harry is still causing trouble to Tristan after all 😂.
This book is full of laughs and fun moments, as much as the sexy and hot ones.
The twist of the story wasn't a mistery to me, cause i could guess it very early, but it didn't ruined the book at all, since it was really well built and closed up.
I really enjoyed this book and I loved how it ended! It was sweet, funny, sexy, entertaining and when Elliot fucked up, the groveling was real! You go girl!
Love it!
Can't wait for the last Miles brother and Tristan's boys books (because I'm pretty sure they'll get one! They're too much to let it pass 😂)

The Casanova is one of my FAVORITE books of 2021! I need more of Elliot Miles in my life. TL Swan has done a wonderful job with the Miles High Club series! This book is right up there with The Stopover which was my favorite book last year.
I love a good office, enemies to lovers romance and this book checked off all the boxes of all the tropes I love to read about it. There's also no shortage of steamy and s*xy AF scenes scattered throughout the book. Elliot comes off as an asshole but Kate slowly peels back his layers and you see the sweet, loving side of Elliot which I loved reading about. I loved that this book wasn't overdramatic either. It was literally the perfect book and I'm thankful for receiving an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley.
*Thank you to TL Swan, NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
TL Swan can do no wrong when it comes to writing the Mile High series. The Casanova is her best yet.
Elliot Miles is swoon worthy, a total a-hole most of the time and is nicknamed the Casanova because women never turn him down. Kathryn Landon is an IT specialist at Miles Inc. Elliot is her boss. They can't stand each other... until they can. Their chemistry is hot, hot, hot!
I read this in one day. Could not put it down. Absolutely brilliant!
Where do I start? I loved this book. This was a much anticipated book in the series for me. I loved how TL Swan added characters that we all know and love from her other books in there to tie everything together.
Kate “Kathryn” works for Elliot Miles as the IT supervisor at his company. They’ve disliked each other for years until one day Miles looks at her differently. Offers her an arrangement and before you know it they are a secret item because of his fame. Of course not everything goes as planned and the media named Casanova makes many mistakes. Finding their way back to each other on her terms was a nice change in the book.
The Casanova is the third book in the Miles High Club and is a fantastic edition to the series. This book follows Elliot and Kate. Elliot is Kate’s boss and they do not get along at all so it is enemies to lovers and is similar to The Stopover in that aspect. I really did enjoy the romance between Elliot and Kate and though there was a lot of tension and connection. There is a great grovel scene from Elliot to Kate and if you like TL Swan’s other works you will adore this.
I loved the 1st two books in this series and I'm so happy to say I loved this book just as much. I laughed, I cried, and everything in between. I was invested in the main characters relationship, I really enjoyed seeing previous characters in this book aswell and I couldn't put this down. I highly recommend!

Wow! This book had me going through a rollercoaster of emotions laughing out loud and crying the next. It's a read you won't want to put down and will probably stay up late reading as I did. Elliot, or Casanova as he's referred to by the tabloids, may show those he works with a hard, grumpy persona but behind his walls he's 100% a romantic looking for his love at first sight fateful moment. Kate is part of the IT department at his London office and they are always at each other's throats. But it may have been fate that they met under random user names on a dating app and became quick pen pals. Won't spoil it but I highly recommend this book! It is a spicy romance with a bumpy road to an enchanted HEA. The only thing that got me frustrated was the surprising turn of events at the end with Elliot ... but I think that just shows that TL Swan can write a truly engaging story when you want to toss your kindle in the air at a character's stupid decisions. I will definitely be grabbing the other books in this series!
Move on over Tristan & Jameson, Elliot is my new man! I have never read a series where I am in love with every single brother. Yeah, yeah I know I am weird and sometimes fall in love with just one brother or all but one. Let me tell you, just like the other books in this series IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Not going to lie, I didn’t think anyone could top Tristan or his book but it did!
I got all the feels. I cried, I laughed, I got mad, I got butterflies, and damn just like any other TL Swan book, it was hot! I absolutely love Kate! I love that she was tough. She didn’t take Elliots crap. They are perfect for each other. The ending was one of my favorite endings I actually did not expect it. I did expect one thing but not the other (sorry not spoiling). I also loved the connection with some of her other books.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC! I can’t wait to have the physical book on my shelves with my other Miles brothers!
4.5 stars
Elliot Miles and Kathryn Landon’s story is definitely an enemies-to-lovers story. Kathryn works for Elliot’s company in London as the lead in the IT department. Whenever they are in the same room, the sparks. The angry banter between these two is actually pretty funny. After a health related scare, the way they see the other changes and what ensues is an up and down, and even sideways journey to their happily ever after.
There are so many things happening in their story, there is a dating app that goes awry, an infatuation that causes havoc and a beautiful farm with crazy animals that made me laugh out loud. Both the MCs are fantastic together but they are fascinating as individuals. Elliott is such a contradiction, he is this womanizing jerk with the nickname, Casanova, but he is also a dreamer, a lover of art and looking for that fairy tale love story. There is just this sweetness to him, but still with that powerful and oh so arrogant CEO vibe. Kathryn is assertive, feisty and takes no cr@p from anyone, especially Elliott. But there is this vulnerable side to her too, my heart broke for what she had lost. Their chemistry was off the charts, and the twist at the end was totally unexpected. I loved it!
Overall, an awesome read, some of Elliott’s choices really ticked me off, but in a way I kind of understood it too. Kathryn really stuck to her guns and really made Elliott work for it and he did it so well!! This is only my 2nd book I’ve read from this author, I’m definitely going to go through her backlist now!
Thank you to Netgalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
TL Swan has done it again! This book is everything we expect, a great story, awesome characters, some great laughs, chemistry and steam! A definite read.
I received a copy of this book as an ARC from Netgalley for a honest review.
TL Swan hit it out of the park here with Elliot and Kathryn's story. And what an emotional rollercoaster I went on. The banter was just what I needed. Dare I say Elliot is my favorite Miles brother now.
Elliot runs Miles Media in London and he over the years earned the nickname Casanova. Kathryn is head of the IT department of Miles Media in Long and she hates her boss. Elliot has always had a thing for art and spends ridiculous amounts of money on the paintings that he does have. Kathryn years later is still dealing with her own trauma and because of that hasn't felt like her true self in a long time.
Elliot is not man that Kathryn though was. And well, Kathryn isn't as mean as comes across. When randomly sparks start to fly between Elliot and Kathryn things get hairy.Neither of them want a relationship but of course feelings start to get involved. Bad decisions are made, feelings are hurt, and forgiving can be hard to come to terms with.
I have been a little wary of reading this author again after a previous book of hers let me down, but I’m so thrilled to have given this book a try. I absolutely adored this enemies to lovers romance and the ending was wonderful. I’m definitely adding the other two books to my tbr!
I just recently got into the Miles' Brothers books, and was so excited to see the third book on NetGalley so had to get it immediately!
To start, like the others, this book had awesome banter between Kate and Elliot. To say this book was exciting is an understatement. The amount of ups and downs and the roller coaster ride is just so dramatic, a trademark of TL Swan, I think.
Of course, the book was steamy AF, which we all love. And we got a new side to Elliot that we didn't see in his brothers' stories, which I appreciated.
Definitely give this one a read!
Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the ARC in return for an honest review.
It's no secret that I loved Jameson in The Stopover, but then I read The Takeover and Tristan became my favorite Miles Man. I couldn't wait to read Elliot's story so when it became available I devoured it and needless to say I was not disappointed! Elliot Miles definitely earned his name as the Casanova but underneath it all, he's a big ole romantic and I loved every second of his journey to find his soulmate. I couldn't wait to find out who this artist was that he was so enamoured with in the first two books so I was quite surprised when Kate was introduced in the beginning of this book. What a pair these two make! They are combustible and their chemistry heats up the pages but it's their banter and sweet, romantic moments that really got to me. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and can't wait to read Christopher's story but Tristan is still my favorite! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
Elliot is the Casanova of the Miles boys. He is obsessed with an artist and believes in fate. He also hates the head of IT Kathryn Landon. Kathryn is dealing with her own past trauma, and hasn't felt alive in along time. When sparks kinda start to fly between her and Elliot Miles then all of a sudden Kate starts to feel herself again. Elliot is now starting to figure out sometimes life is pushed in a different way than he thinks. What happens though when he finds the artist he thought he was always fated to be with? What happens when Kate finds out that Elliot isn't the mean egotistical CEO?
I really enjoyed Elliot and Kates story! It was funny and the banter was epic. It was a pretty fast burn IMO. I did cry and laugh. Elliot made some really heart breaking choices but the way this ending came together was everything!!!
I have mixed views about this book. It could have been a great book to me if the profanity was not so over the top. Is the author even capable to write a conversation without swearing? So after 7% I almost stopped reading the book completely.
Elliot and Kate are both grown ups but their confrontations and email exchanges are shocking and so unprofessional. Who speaks like this and especially in a boss-employee relationship? Can you imagine working in such a toxic environment for seven years? (By the way, if she has worked 7 years with him then she started when she was 20. It seems quite young. Did she even go to uni?)
There is actually almost no pages without profanities. I found:
- 490 fuck words
- 123 hell words
- 70 shit words
- 21 bitch words
- 17 crap words
To add to this, despite his gorgeous looks and a fat wallet, Elliot is completely insane and has serious anger management issues. He is a control freak either yelling and cursing at you or hitting his mobile into a car seat. Imagine dealing with such crap on a daily basis. In some ways he reminded me of Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey. Elliot even hints to his "depraved tastes that are not for everyone" but later on we never really get to learn anything about that. Talk about a mislead!
Remember the scene where a post office lady is doing a small talk and he is dropping f bombs in his own head and calling her a bitch? What stops him from thinking the same about this girlfriend if he loses patience?
If all that crap was removed, the book actually would be 5+ stars. The story is engaging and it had a intriguing story plot and the sex scenes although quite graphic were also different (many erotic books are quite repetitive in sex scenes).
I recently discovered this author and have enjoyed several books by her. The beginning of this story was difficult to get through because I found the conversations between the two main characters to be childish and bordering on ridiculous. The last quester of the book was worth it though, when the answers to the questions came to light. Overall, a good story.
DESERVES MORE THAN 5 STARS.
Tristan was literally 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 that we're all so scared that Elliott won't meet the expectations. BUT let me say this, The Casanova 𝐓𝐎𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐘 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄. I really don't want to say more than this because I don't want to spoil it. 𝘐 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘥, 𝘴𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥, 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘥, 𝘧𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥, 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥!! So be ready for that roller coaster of emotions.
And yes, everyone makes an appearance. I want to reread all of them again. No idea what the last book is going to be about, but I know I'm going to love it already.
