Cheerful, and heart-warming and will leave you feeling happy and uplifted for the day ahead, definitely a recommended read!
This is the fourth book in the Welcome to Thorndale series, I've not read the others but I don't think you need to I enjoyed this as a stand-alone though will certainly read the others in the series when able to.
I really enjoyed this, it is comforting and charming full of friendship, community and family.
A perfect and sweet little festive story which can be enjoyed no matter the time of year!

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

A nice little read but nothing particularly exciting, if I’m honest. Nothing in the way of excitement or drama, just enough to plod along through the book. If you want an easy read, then I’d recommend it. If you want something that makes you excited enough to fly through it in a day, then maybe give it a miss.

Lovely feel good book to read. It was a joy to read. Lovely characters. Great plot. The book was charming. Very well written. I’d definitely recommend this book. Idyllic location that set the tone of the book to perfection. Perfect seasonal book to get you in the mood for the festive season.

This was a gorgeous, warm and cosy Christmas read. It had me hooked from start to finish, with a really lovely set and a bunch of delightful characters.

A straight 5 star read. A lovely Christmas tale which is warm and cosy and perfect for reading in front of a warm fire.

Although part of a series, I haven’t read the others and this didn’t hinder the story.

So good to be back in Thorndale again, this time following the ups & downs in the lives of main characters Olivia and Tom.
Once again Suzanne Snow hits the mark for perfection in this genre. Fully-formed, believable characters with a storyline that holds the reader’s interest and immerses them in the storyline from beginning to end. The only thing I was hoping for was an epilogue… I was hoping the pair would buy the rundown house they spotted on their late-night walk, especially as I was disappointed to read in the acknowledgments that this is the last in the Thorndale series so there’ll be no further catch-ups with these and other Thorndale characters, However, I’m hoping there’s a new series on the horizon from this great writer.
Great to read at any time of year, but most enjoyable in wintertime and the festive period.

Going back to Thorndale feels deliciously familiar and I found Olivia’s story to be a warm and uplifting read. There are enough festive touches to make it the ideal read for this time of year and a will they, won’t they romance to keep you engaged. I loved the idea of Olivia’s Dad’s bookshop in the garden- who wouldn’t want one of those? This is a gentle story with characters who have some working out to do- what next? They felt like good company on a cold winter’s day.

A cosy feel good read to get you in the festive spirit. I realised part way through that this was part of a series and I had read one of them a while back so it was nice to revisit some familiar characters.

A Country Village Christmas grabbed me immediately and I loved how Olivia and Tom met initially. It was a really cute setting and real potential between the two.

Olivia and Tom are thrown together under unexpected circumstances but they learn to make the most of it and it really provides a fun setting with plenty of opportunity for interaction between the two main characters. I really enjoyed seeing them get to know one another and they were put into so many great situations. The chemistry between the two was so believable and I couldn’t wait for them to finally get together.

While I really enjoyed the book the ended did sort of ruin it for me. I could have done without the rush of Tom and Olivia’s ending as it didn’t feel quite right to me.

Olivia doesn’t have time for Christmas or for romance – she’s got a demanding career and has been burned before when it comes to love. This year, she’s spending the festive season in her dad’s old house, packing it up now that he’s moved out. Her dad failed to mention she wouldn’t be spending her time there alone…

The last thing Olivia expects is for her surprise guest to be the very man who literally ran from her after an evening of mutual flirtation. But Tom has nowhere else to go and Olivia is determined to forget the disappointment she felt at his abandonment and instead help him find his way again.

As heavy snow keeps them inside the cottage, will their enforced confinement spark romance once again – or will it push them further apart? This is one of my favorite reading seasons because there is absolutely nothing better than curling up under a fuzzy blanket with a good book A wonderful magical Christmas book. Reminds me of holiday movies but in print. Such a cute story for this time of year. A lovely light-hearted read.

Tom has been given the opportunity to stay in Olivia’s dads home to finish his new novel. However, Olivia has no idea and is stunned when she bumps into him in the hallway, late at night. After all this isn’t the first time the two have met…

Is there a chance of romance?

I love Christmas novels and this was very good. It's festive, sweet and the characters are fleshed out and realistic.
An entertaining and engrossing novel.

A book that ticks all the right boxes, Suzanne Snow’s A Country Village Christmas is romantic escapism at its most sparkling.

Olivia is on her way home to see her Dad when she is stranded in a hotel due to a snow storm. Whilst there, she shares a meal with fellow stranded traveller Tom and feel an instant attraction. When she finally makes it home, she is melancholy as it will be her final Christmas in her childhood home before it is packed up and sold so she tried to put her work addiction behind her for the time being and focus on family. Little does she know that her father has a few secrets of his own for her final stay and one of them may just be very familiar to her. This was a quick, light hearted Christmas read that was quite enjoyable.

I didn't want to put this book down, the pages just spoke in volumes that it was very hard to find a place to stop reading. A lovely Christmas novel with all sorts of emotions but of course love was in the air. Read and enjoy the setting in Yorkshire, how can you go wrong there. I wont say any more incase I start to give the plot away and I don't do that as it isn't fair on a new reader. 5 stars

I received an early copy of this book through Netgalley, and once I started, I had it finished within a day. This is the perfect Christmas romance novel that would be lovely to binge whilst curled up with blanket and a hot chocolate in front of a fire.

This sweet Christmas read is brought to life by characters that are relatable and realistic with their fumbles within a new friendship, along with a beautiful description of Yorkshire late in the year. Thorndale is set up as a lovely village that reminds us all of the family like atmosphere of small towns everywhere, including the meddlesome relatives and nosey neighbours!

Whilst this can be read as a standalone, this heart-warming romance novel leaves you wanting more and thanks to this I have already bought the rest of the series.

Christmas reading in September, seemed strange but this is a lovely easy read by Suzanne. Full of warmth and Christmassy sparkle.

An enjoyable festive read. The main characters are well written and believable. The book is light hearted and a nice cosy read.
