This one was a great, steamy read. It will appeal to any YA readers moving into the more adult category. The story was fun and light, the characters were fun. It had a satisfying ending as all romances should be. Perfect for a quick beach read.

Unfortunately this book was not my favorite. I really wanted to like it as I had such high hopes for it.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.

I was completely obsessed with It Happened One summer and it was such a gift to get an ARC of Hook Line and Sinker! I just loved hearing Hannah and Fox’s side of things and Tessa Bailey just has a way of writing that sucked me in from page one and made me want to pack my bags, move to Westport, and befriend some fishermen. Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC! I didn’t want it to end!

Another delightful read from Tessa Bailey! Although It Happened One Summer is my personal preference, those with a soft spot for friends-to-lovers and slow burn romance tropes will enjoy this one. As always, the banter is quick-witted, sharp, and everything a romance reader would want to fantasize about. One thing I really appreciate about this book is the attention to complex feelings and the way the characters show us the development of their emotions, and we are immediately pulled into this world because it is easy to believe what we are shown. The build up of tension and Fox's resistance to romance itself makes this quite an enjoyable read, but the chemistry is what makes you want to finish and reread over and over again.

This book was a perfect swoony, steamy, gave-me-all-the-feels sequel to It Happened One Summer. I liked this one more in the end, because I loved who Hannah and Fox were separately and who they were as friends and later a couple together. But both books were great and I’m very sad there isn’t a 3rd in this series!

I loved this books so much - maybe even more than It Happened One Summer. Fox's character growth between the two books is so swoony and he and Hannah together are everything. What a great summer read!

While reading It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey, I was so excited to read the foreshadowing of Hannah and Fox and was eagerly awaiting their book - I am happy to report that Bailey 100000% delivered on this romance! This friends to lovers story was everything I had hoped for an more. I hope Bailey brings these characters back again someday because I am not ready to say farewell to the Bellinger sisters!

Thank you to Avon for an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

I didn't think it was possible but I loved this story more than the first in the Bellinger Sisters series!

Fox and Hannah are perfection together and there wasn't a single thing about the story that I disliked. I loved learning Fox’s backstory and the slower burn romance was completely on point. I also loved all of the playlist/song mentions and how Hannah found closure with the passing of her father through music. It was just so Hannah.

Tessa Bailey pulled me into the small town of Westport, WA and trapped me with lovable, honest, capable characters that became close friends. I could read about the Bellinger sisters, Brendon, Fox and the rest of the Westport crew and never tire.

The Bellinger Sister series is a solid 5 star dynamic duo that should be on everyone's TBR. But if I had to pick just one to read, it would be Hook, Line and Sinker.

Tessa Bailey - how I love your ability to make me come for the smut and stay for the loveable characters. Book two picks up with Hannah and Fox. Hannah is in town for work and Fox offers his guest room for her to use. She accepts knowing full well of Fox's reputation as a ladies man. But don't you worry - they are just friends. Only friends. Can't be anything but friends. Me thinks they protest a little too much. How will living together work out for Fox and Hannah? Will they give into the temptation of each other?

Bailey knocked it out of the park again. Loved reading Hannah and Fox's story! Slow burn, great banter, I loved their story just as much as Piper and Brendan.

Everything Tessa Bailey writes is gold. She is one of my favorite authors and I was looking forward to this book after I read It Happened One Summer. Hannah and Fox are just perfect in this story. I loved seeing piper and Brandon again. I wish we could have another one!!!! Definitely recommend reading this after. It is book 2 in a duology

This was such a good book! This is the second book in the Bellinger Sisters series. I think I loved this book even more then the first in the series. This was such a steamy and heartfelt friends to lovers romance.

This book will hook you right from the start. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but would be better enjoyed reading it as part of the series. This book was so cute, and filled with so many swoon worthy romance moments. I loved Fox and Hannah together. I thought they were just the cutest, and I love a good friends to lovers romance! If you haven’t checked out this series yet, and you like steamy romances, I highly recommend it!

Loved this continuing story of the Bellinger sisters. Fox and Hannah learned you can be friends and lovers in this funny, sexy romance. A good summer read to recommend. I hope there will be more on these sisters.

Hook, Line and Sinker by Tessa Bailey

💋 Romance
❤️‍🔥 Slow Burn
🔥 Steamy
💨 Quick Read

A cute, quick read.

A former player accidentally falls for his friend while helping her land a different man.

📝 This was an easy to read, well crafted story; although, the pacing was troublesome. At times it felt like it was dragging and a bit boring.

💋 The romance elements were spot on and the atmosphere was palpably charged with tension between the two main characters.

❤️‍🔥 I love a good slow burn and this was definitely a slow one, maybe a little too slow for my liking but still well done.

🔥 There were plenty of steamy scenes sprinkled throughout this story. Some of the dialog was a little cringeworthy at times but overall it was all pretty hot.

😂 For a rom-com I didn’t find this laugh out loud funny but there were definitely some super cute moments.

💨 This was a quick, light read.

💜 I’m a big fan of character growth and this story really nailed it; I loved how they grew together.

📚 This is the second book of a series with characters crossing over from It Happened One Summer but it can be read as a stand-alone.

If you’re looking for a cute, light read then give this one a try.

This was a perfect sequel by Tessa Bailey - dealing with imposter syndrome, idenity and reputation, and what it means to show up for someone you love every single day. Hannah was such a fun MC to follow and the banter with Fox was to die for. I will say, due to the premise and the issues that Fox deals with, this is SUCH a slow burn. However, it is refreshing for the genre so I am still a happy camper. I will read anything and everything Tessa Bailey publishes at this point.

A cute friends to lovers romantic comedy, it's another enjoyable read from Tessa Bailey. The slowish burn romance storyline was matched by great relationships between sisters and friends, with well rounded characters.

Tessa Bailey is officially one of my favorite romantic comedy authors. This was definitely another win in my book, and have recommended it to my circle of friends. Loved it!

Tessa Bailey does it again!

I love the Fox and Hannah story! I could not imagine how she could top or even match It Happened One Summer, but sure enough I loved this one just as much, maybe even more!

This series is so much more than a romance. It is truly a journey for the two sisters, Hannah and Piper, finding their own strength. The personal growth overshadows the relationships for me, though that is fantastic and steamy in true Tessa fashion!

I am pretty sure Tessa Bailey could rewrite the phone book and I would give it five stars and recommend it to everyone.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this arc!

DNF @ 30%. Unfortunately, I think this book taught me that Tessa Bailey's writing style just isn't for me. After reading It Happened One Summer, I decided to give this a try because while I didn't jive with the writing style I saw potential for a different story. however, I just don't like the way Bailey describes characters, as it feels a bit shallow and just isn't to my taste. Apologies for the late review submission--I held onto this one for a few months just to see if I could get into it, but alas, I couldn't.
