Tessa Bailey is officially one of my favorite romantic comedy authors. This was definitely another win in my book, and have recommended it to my circle of friends. Loved it!

Tessa Bailey does it again!
I love the Fox and Hannah story! I could not imagine how she could top or even match It Happened One Summer, but sure enough I loved this one just as much, maybe even more!
This series is so much more than a romance. It is truly a journey for the two sisters, Hannah and Piper, finding their own strength. The personal growth overshadows the relationships for me, though that is fantastic and steamy in true Tessa fashion!
I am pretty sure Tessa Bailey could rewrite the phone book and I would give it five stars and recommend it to everyone.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this arc!

DNF @ 30%. Unfortunately, I think this book taught me that Tessa Bailey's writing style just isn't for me. After reading It Happened One Summer, I decided to give this a try because while I didn't jive with the writing style I saw potential for a different story. however, I just don't like the way Bailey describes characters, as it feels a bit shallow and just isn't to my taste. Apologies for the late review submission--I held onto this one for a few months just to see if I could get into it, but alas, I couldn't.

<deep contented sigh> Now this is how you RomCom! Tessa Bailey single-handedly made me fall in love with hetero-romance when I read It Happened One Summer. So it was no surprise that I would have to read the sequel.
I’m so happy that I read this. There is just something about a crab fisherman that really does me in. A job that can kill you makes a man extra sexy! And Fox is DUCKING HOT! His personality made him that much more loveable… and that’s all I want to do. Love him!
Hannah also has a special place in my heart. I felt a sort of kinship to her, being that she feels like she isn’t the main event or star in the story of her life. I mean, I know I’m the star, but I haven’t always. That semi-self loathing is something that I never want for anyone, but I’ve felt it in the past. So I understand where she’s coming from. I’m just glad she has a man like Fox to help her realize how incredible she is.
I really enjoy these books and hope that Tessa keeps them coming… I’m a crack fiend, it seems, but it’s for these books!

4.5 Stars
Escapism at it’s finest. Literally. The perfect title for a fun escape from the stresses of real life, with unique characters, a quaint village setting, some good laughs, and, of course, a strong Tessa Bailey spice level.
Hook, Line, and Sinker is the sequel to It Happened One Summer (though you don’t NEED to read IHOS first, I recommend it!) and follows Fox and Hannah’s story. It picks up where the first book drops off with these two – Fox seeming to have a big old crush on Hannah, and Hannah putting him squarely in the friend zone. Then Hannah come to town for work, and ends up staying in Fox’s guest bedroom – to the concern of her sister and brother-in-law. But Hannah is adamant: she is very aware of Fox’s playboy status and won’t be falling for his charms. Plus she only sees him as a friend…
When I first picked up Hook, Line, and Sinker, I had sooo much on my plate I did NOT feel like I could read a whole book. The plan: read a few chapters of this rom-com to unwind, then come back to finish it later. What I got: an all night reading marathon. Though this is a standard contemporary romance formula layout, I just loved the way the writing and characters pulled me in. I also loved that throughout the plot line, the character’s actions stay true to their character arc. You know when you get to *that* point towards the end of a contemporary romance where there is that last big hurdle or fight and most of the time one or both characters react in that burry-you-face-in-the-pillow-because-they-are-just-being-SO-stupid-to-further-the-plot? This time, that didn’t happen. Yes there’s a pivotal plot point. But instead of acting like stereotype characters, both Fox and Hannah’s actions are so on point with their arcs it just gives me all the happy feels inside because I feel like I KNOW these characters (even when they DO do stupid things.. they make LOGICAL sense!).
Overall, I really, really enjoyed disappearing into this book:)

This is one of my absolute favorite Tess Bailey series and I was so excited for the chance to read an ARC of HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER. I didn’t think I could love Fox and Hannah as much as Piper and Brendan, but it turns out I can. So steamy, sweet, and moving. An absolute winner of a series, I hope she finds more sisters so I can continue to live in this world!

I enjoyed reading about Hannah and Fox's story. I loved how supportive Hannah was to Piper.
Now this is Hannah's turn to find her way.
This is a friends to lovers. Hannah puts Fox in that category since she can't every imagine Fox could be a serious life partner, let alone a boy friend.
Once again, the town of Westport -and it's residents, play an important role in this story.
Fox's own coworkers and friends take Hannah's side in that Fox shouldn't play around with Hannah's heart.
I loved the not-at-all ending and epilogue. Very sweet.
I plan to read this again (and Piper's story too!)

Hook, Line and Sinker is the latest chapter in the lives of the Bellinger sisters - it immediately follows the events of It Happened One Summer, and follows Hannah and Fox as they strike up a months-long flirtation and then friendship over texting. Then, when Hannah’s production company decides to film their latest project in Westport, they are moved into close quarters as Hannah takes Fox’s guest room.
The relationship building and steam did not disappoint in this latest adaptation! In fact, I really enjoyed Hannah’s story of wanting to drive her career above all else, what her identity and status mean in the entertainment industry, as well as what her lack of grief means for her love of her biological father. I thoroughly enjoyed being back in Westport, and am so glad that we have Hannah and Fox’s story!

4/4 Stars
Okay, so Fox is by far a better character than Brendan, but Piper is superior to Hannah, now that that's out of the way I really enjoyed this book. The way they Bailey writes male characters is masterful, why can't Fox exist in real life, right? He's funny, gentle, and surprisingly deep. Fox is dealing with some self love issues, which does make him endearing and relatable. As far as Hannah goes, I actually found her to be somewhat two dimensional, she likes music and Fox... and that's it.
I also felt that the story was lacking, while it was enjoyable, nothing really happened. It's romance novel, so we already know they're going to end up together, but I would've liked more friction, there were no real obstacles to overcome.
While Idid really enjoy this book, there was one thing that stood out like a sore thumb to me, and it made me quite uncomfortable. There are no people of color in this book, or the previous in the series, and that's simply unrealistic. I don't believe in forcing authors to include diversity, but this is a contemporary story, so it's bizarre that every single person in the town is white.

What I Didn’t Like
🦀Honestly there wasn’t anything I didn’t like!
Y’all!! Tessa Bailey can do no wrong! I thought the story of Piper and Brendan was amazing but man Fox and Hannah were magical! They are a top five book couple of all time! If you have not read this book, I highly suggest grabbing it and reading it as soon as possible. It would make for the perfect beach, lake or poolside reading!

“‘I’ve got it so bad for you, Hannah. Really’—he blew out a breath—‘really bad. I tried to keep you out of here.’ He knocked his free fist against his chest. ‘But you won’t go. You’re never going to go. You just won’t.’”
Fox Thornton is a king crab fisherman. He is a guaranteed good time both in and out of the bedroom, and he prefers it that way. That is, until he meets Hannah Bellinger. In this follow up to It Happened One Summer, can Hannah reform this former ladies man and hook her very own fisherman?
Ooooh la la. 🥵🥵
I knew what I was in for having read and LOVED Brendan and Piper’s story in It Happened One Summer last year. Although not 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘦 as good as the first installment, it did not disappoint! The character arcs of Hannah, the spoiled L.A. rich girl, and Fox, the hot player, were like magic. Their chemistry was 🔥 and their whole story was so heartfelt. And the sparks? They were flying! Watching the woman helping the man find, realize, and know his worth was such a welcomed and fresh perspective. I just adored it and them. If you’re looking for a steamy summer romance look no further!
Thank you to Netgalley, Avon and Harper Voyage, and the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The first Tessa Bailey book I read was the first book in this series. While I patiently waited for this installment I went back and read some of her other books, specifically the Hot and Hammered series. The way she incorporates humor into everyday situations is very appealing and I like how she develops her characters. Hook, Line, and Sinker didn't disappoint. I'm a musician and well as I librarian, so I loved the incorporation of music with this book and how Hannah is able, through music, to find a connect with her dad that she never knew. Fox is, well, a fox and appreciated their chemistry. I believe this book was better than It Happened One Summer.

This is such a cute romance. Fox Thorton is a player who has never had a relationship. The last thing he needs is to fall for his best friend, Hannah, while trying to help her get her crush. And to make matters worse, she has moved into his spare room for the next few weeks while she is filming a movie.
I wish there was a soundtrack to go with this book. It was such a cute and quick read.

Hook, Line and Sinker was by far the better of the two Bellinger Sister books. Hannah and Fox were drawn to each other like moths to a flame, and it was evident in every page. The connection between characters seemed more sincere and true in this book and I was hooked (pun intended) from the start.
Bailey is a great writer who is seriously capable of creating a world in which her characters thrive and readers delight.

I loved this book! It was a wonderful mix of romance story and personal journey. Hannah's struggle with her job and family history felt real. It felt like something anyone could struggle with. I was enjoying the story but once sea shanties came into play I was a goner. Sea shanties are my favorite!
Fox's struggle with doing what was expected of him vs what he wanted was hard to read but made the ending so good. Hannah and Fox felt like a fully developed couple with their own flaws and struggles.

I loved Fox's character in It Happened One Summer. So I was so excited when I received the earc of Hook, Lone and Sinker.
Seeing his character develop in this book was great. I really enjoyed the friends to lovers romance, it was so cute. I loved reading of Hannah and Fox's relationship and seeing how it forms in to something more. Really enjoyed the story it just lacked a little something that the first book had. But it was still great, definitely recommend.

This book was a solid follow up to the first entry in this series. Hannah is a woman who thrives on lifting other people up. She considers herself to be a supporting role, not the leading lady in life, or in movies.
That all changes when playboy Fox takes an interest, and can't stop thinking about sweet Hannah. He stops the casual hookups, starts collecting records, and texting Hannah constantly.
When a movie brings Hannah back to town, she needs a place to stay that's cheap, but Piper (her sister, and the heroine in It Happened One Summer) has her in-laws in town, and Hannah can't stay there. Fox invites her to stay, thinking that they can stay in the friends camp, because 'he can't do commitment."
This book not only has a great romance, full of Tessa Bailey's signature filthy smut. It also has great discussions on how these characters look at themselves, and how little actions from the people around them make bit impacts.
This book does an excellent job of letting this couple grow, and make big decisions for themselves in taking on more responsibility in life, independent of each other. They took each other into consideration independently, but the decisions were made because they wanted to make them.
This forced-proximity, friends to lovers romance worked for me. I would definitely recommend this one.

This book description hits the nail on the head and makes you want to read the second installment of the Belinger Sisters! 'King crab fisherman Fox Thornton has a reputation as a sexy, carefree flirt. Everyone knows he's a guaranteed good time--in bed and out--and that's exactly how he prefers it. Until he meets Hannah Bellinger. She's immune to his charm and looks, but she seems to enjoy his... personality? And wants to be friends? Bizarre. But he likes her too much to risk a fling, so platonic pals it is.'
Song lyrics add a new addition to the book and don't skip the epilogue at the end, It was fantastic!!!
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review..
Cute Friends to lovers story, this book is perfect for a summer read.
I recommend it.

Hot and spicy, and just in time for summer reading!
I love It Happened One Summer, so I was thrilled to read this follow up. Hannah and Fox are both coming to their friendship with lots of baggage but they can help each other learn to trust and support each other through life's struggles. I LOVED their relationship, from friends to lovers. The spicy scenes are hot, hot, HOT! This book strikes the perfect balance between a deep emotional connection and amazing sex. Why choose? Pick this book up immediately, you won't be sorry.
