The perfect ending to the Written in the Star series! I am honestly heartbroken to say goodbye to these characters. Margot won my heart back in WINS so I really enjoyed getting to know her more. Second chance romance stories are always my favorite and this one was so steamy!

Count Your Lucky Stars concludes Alexandria Bellefleur’s, Written in the Stars trilogy. This sweet second chance romance between Margot and Olivia is fabulously written. This entertaining story revolves around Olivia planning the wedding of Annie and Brendon, from Hang the Moon. Margot is Brendon’s best woman and is suddenly reunited with Olivia, her first love. I loved the chemistry between Margot and Olivia. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Avon for providing me with an ARC, which in no way influenced my opinion. This review reflects my honest thoughts and opinions.

What a great, great queer romance that's BFF to enemies to lovers, a pairing I haven't read from before. I love Margot and Olivia's strong juxtaposition, how they're so different in terms of personality but are able to make it work for their relationship in the long run. If you've enjoyed Bellefleur's other work, you'll feel at home with this new one. Thank you for the e-arc.

i am so soft, this book was so soft, this entire series was so soft. i sound like a broken record by now, but alexandria’s writing is so magical and beautiful, i will keep reading every single book she writes. no questions asked, just give it to me and i’ll love it.

this book is finally margot’s love story, and olivia is a new character that completely stole my heart. she completes the group perfectly, her personality was adorable and i ended up loving her as much as i loved the rest of the characters as if i had known her since written in the stars. olivia and margot have history together, they used to be best friends (and some more) until their paths got separated. i love second chance romances, and this one wasn’t only a second chance at love, but at friendship too. i loved it so much. they were really good together and aside from the romantic chemistry they shared, their friendship was truly fulfilling as well.

the kind of bond between olivia and margot always feels the one that deserves a happy ending the most to me, and this book was truly a serve in that aspect. another thing i loved was that i feel like i got to know margot entirely thanks to this book. i loved her in the previous books and getting her as the main character of the story was the best. also, this book was very very steamy, as the previous two books in the series. i love how well alexandria mixes cute, romantic moments with highly steamy scenes. both of my favorite worlds in one book is always a win for me.

i love this trilogy so much, everyone knows it, and i don’t think i’ll stop repeating it in the foreseeable future. this book comes out february 1st next year and i will repost my review close to that date, but this series is going to be a permanent fixture in my recommendation posts, favorites lists and book stacks.

if you haven’t started already, written in the stars is the beginning of the series with elle and darcy’s love story, hang the moon is about brendon and annie, and again, count your lucky stars comes out february 1st, 2022.

thank you so much to the publisher for my early review copy.

Count Your Lucky Stars is the third book of the Written in the Stars trilogy, although it can be read as a standalone. It follows Margot as she prepares for her friend’s wedding, and Olivia, the girl from the past who is also the wedding planner.
-
I really enjoyed this book! It was fun and cute and Alexandria Bellefleur has an amazing writing style. I absolutely loved the “second chance romance” aspect and the fact that they started as roommates. The other characters from the previous books were incorporated well, and this was just great.
-
All that said, I did have a couple issues. The fact that neither girl ever talked to each other before entering a physical relationship left a bad taste in my mouth, although that might just be me. It was harder to root for them also when it seemed that one person held more power and say in the relationship as well.
-
Overall, this was a cute queer romance that I do recommend, although Written in the Stars is still my favorite from this trilogy.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I love the way Bellefleur writes. Romantic comedy as a genre has definitely gained something with the addition of the lovely author. Count your lucky Stars was a wonderful addition to this world that Bellefleur has created - I read the entire thing in one sitting (like I read her other two novels) and I can’t wait to order some of these for the store, nor can I wait to have a copy on my own bookshelf.

*Thank you to NetGalley for sending me an eARC of this book. All thought and opinions are my own*

I was so excited to read this book, ever since I heard that it was going to be a trilogy, and it DID NOT disappoint. All three books are cute and steamy romcoms following a continuous cast, and this was a great conclusion. Wlw romance with bi and pan MCs *swoons*

I am not particularly into astrology, but I have enjoyed every bit of this series, and this book is no exception. First off, the queer rep in the whole trilogy is wonderful, especially the m-spec representation (normalization of a bi/pan character in both a wlm relationship and a wlw relationship) which is hard to find.

While I'm not normally a fan of the classic 'miscommunication' trope, I think Bellefleur does an awesome job of addressing how fears and insecurities can lead to those kind of problems, and they are all resolved really well.

My favorite part of this book is definitely the characters. They are all dynamic, realistic, and also very unique, especially for a romcom. I will be reading any book this author comes out with. This is a win for me!

I am absolutely convinced that Alexandria Bellefleur just cannot write a bad book. I loved the first two books in this series and could not wait for the ARC to become available!

Margot is Elle's best friend who we met in "Written in the Stars". All of her best friends are now in committed relationships, and Margot finds herself as the "Best Woman" in Brandon's wedding. Unbeknownst to her, the wedding planner is her high school best friend, Olivia, whom she had a weeklong "fling" during spring break, only for Olivia to get back together with her high school boyfriend when he returned from vacation. After Olivia's apartment suddenly floods, Margot ends up offering her spare bedroom to her. They pretty quickly act on the tension in the air, but defining the relationship brings up the disappointments and miscommunications of the past.

Alexandria Bellefleur's characters always feel super relatable to me, and I had the same experience with Olivia and Margot in this book. They felt very real - the awkwardness of friends trying to reconnect plus the obvious tension was done so well. The "former best friends to lovers" trope is one of my new favorites! The book genuinely made me laugh out loud and I couldn't put it down. I will miss the world of Elle, Darcy, and everyone else but this feels like a great bookend to this series.

Ahhhh I was so so excited to get this ARC, I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and getting to catch up with those two couples was an amazing added bonus to getting Margot's love story.

Things I loved: I really enjoyed Olivia and Margot as characters. I could also totally to relate with Margot when you’re the single human in a group of couples. The comedic moments were REAL in this book; cat vs. silicone and baking attempts by Margot were certainly memorable. Brendan’s meddling was classic. I liked that we didn’t have flashbacks from the past but that they did discuss their different experiences with the past. The love ferns return at game night. Little Caroline.

Things I didn’t care for: Things happened really really fast and I wish we had had a bit more time with them to rediscover their friendship before jumping into things again.

While you could probably read these books as standalones, they really do build on each other and I would suggest reading them in order. Count Your Lucky Stars is out February 1st, 2022! Pre-order, add to your TBR or request at your local library!

Lesbian fiction at its best. Great writing! Very immersive.

Perfection. I had very high hopes going into this book based on how much I loved Written in the Stars and Hang the Moon, and it did not disappoint. I absolutely love, love, love Olivia. What a great addition to this universe. We’ve seen Margot be an incredible best friend in the previous two novels, and getting to see her shine with Olivia was absolutely delightful. This is a second chance/best friends to lovers story that takes place 10 years after a miscommunication severed their friendship/budding relationship. It is, quite frankly, my favorite trope. You will no doubt be screaming at these two to just talk about their feelings and where they stand with each other. This is all-around a great rom-com and a fantastic wrap up for what has become one of my favorite friend groups in literature.

A great third installment to a great series! I'm gonna miss the gang of Elle, Darcy, Brendan, and Annie - a testament to the author's ability to write engaging characters and stories. I loved reading Margot and Olivia's love story in this book. I'm typically not a fan of miscommunication in romantic novels but I'm also a huge sucker for the "best friends to lovers" trope, which is executed to perfection here. Can't wait to re-read this book/series in the future!

Alexandria Bellefleur follows up her win of the 2020 Lambda Award in Romance for Written In the Stars by releasing the third book in the trilogy. Margot, who is the glue in the friendships, finally gets her romance. I was thrilled to get an ARC of this book and couldn't wait to read it.

Brendon and Annie are three weeks from their wedding when their location cancels. Event and wedding planner Olivia Grant is up for the task. Margot Cooper is Brandon's best woman and is blind sided seeing Olivia again. They were childhood BFF's and eventually had a week of romance before going separate ways heading to college. Olivia needs a place to stay and Margot offers her a room.

This is a second chance romance that doesn't get bogged down in flashbacks. It is laugh out loud funny, sexy and sweetly heartfelt. Margot is still the voice of wisdom talking about respecting boundaries but now we get to see her insecurities too. She doesn't want to feel like a fifth wheel to her coupling up friends. She wants to be chosen. I wish there was more of Margots family because their brief texting is hilarious. Being with Elle, Darcy, Brendon, Annie, and Margot again is a joy. I love seeing the progress in their relationships and Olivia fits right with them. I was surprised how quickly Margot and Olivia fell into a being a twosome.

Kudos to whoever created the beautiful cover for this book and the series. They absolutley draw you to the novels. I can't recommend this book enough and suggest you read (at least) the first book in the series to get a feel for Margot and the other side characters. Big gratitude and thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for an ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Count Your Lucky Stars is the third release in the Written in the Stars series by Alexandria Bellefleur and I must say I was really really REALLY looking forward to reading this one. The first two books were absolutely adorable and I couldn't put them down once I started them. This third one though disappointment me a little bit which really makes me sad because I really loved the character of Margot and wanted to love a book all about her as well.

Count Your Lucky Stars follows Margot (Elle's best friend) and the wedding of Brendon and Annie. Brendon and Annie had a mishap with their former wedding plans and need help ASAP and the planner taking the job is no other than Margot's former bestfriend and first love, Olivia. Margot and Olivia's story is a second chance romance that also deals with real issues like abandonment and self-sabotaging tendencies.

****Spoilers ahead****

Things I liked:
I thought Olivia and Margot's reunion after 11 years was sooo awkward but really cute at the same time. They were both so shocked! Margot and Cat's relationship is hilarious, especially the whole vibrator debacle, too funny! It was really different seeing Margot so flustered and out of sorts this entire book when all we've seen from her before is cool sassy confidence, so this made her character seem more real to me. I really don't remember the previous two books being so spicy, it seems like Ms. Bellefleur really ramped up those parts and I can't say I didn't like it!

Things that disappointed me:
I really did not feel the chemistry between Margot and Olivia too much. I get that they had this week long affair so their love isn't anything new but it was new to me. They get together (again) and it just felt really quick, I think it was literally a day or two after Olivia moves in with Margot. Admittedly I'm not a fan of too many second chance romances so maybe that's why I didn't resonate with this one too much but also this might be case of "told not shown". Maybe if there had been some flashback scenes of them so I could understand how much they cared for each other already and that would've helped.

My disappointment won't discourage me from continuing to read any future titles by the author, Alexandria Bellefleur usually delivers on comedy, romance and good spice. Looking forward to whatever she puts out next!

Thank you so much to Avon and HarperVoyager for providing me with an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review!

This is without a doubt my favorite book in this series! Count Your Lucky Stars is a fantastic second chance romance and I appreciate the lack of third-act-breakup!

Margot is Elle’s best friend and from their business partnership with OTP, she’s gotten to be really good friends with Brendon, which leads to him asking her to be his best woman. To her surprise, her best friend from high school, Olivia, is the wedding planner. Eleven years earlier they’d had a brief week together while Olivia and her then-boyfriend were broken up, but clarifying the relationship never happened so when Brad came back and wanted to get back together, Margot tried to be supportive by encouraging Olivia. This led to them falling out and not speaking until they reconnect during Brendon’s wedding. They’re also forced into close proximity when Olivia’s apartment gets flooded and Margot offers her a place to stay. They quickly act on the sexual chemistry between them, but defining the relationship as anything other than casual is hard for both of them, fearing the other doesn’t feel the same, especially with their history.

This book is all around so wonderful. I had so much fun reading it and laughed many times. The angst is perfectly balanced with humor, and I love the development of Margot and Olivia’s relationship, as well as getting to see Brendon and Annie’s, and Elle and Darcy’s relationships. Not to mention the friendship! I love Margot and Elle so much and the relationship they have is so strong. And I loved the way Elle was supportive and offered perspective to Margot.

Absolutely my favorite thing was the communication. It took a while (and yes, it did get to point I wanted to scream at them to use their words lol) but it was realistic and understandable that talking was difficult. Once they were able to talk, it filled my heart with so much warmth, and I loved how affirming they were towards each other. Olivia has trouble prioritizing her wants and happiness, and Margot is great at encouraging her to set and maintain boundaries, without demanding or dictating her actions.

I just adore this book and I cannot wait for others to fall in love with Margot and Olivia as well. Highly recommend this book for a feel-good time of a second chance romance with fantastic communication and friendships~!

Truly a perfect finish to an incredible series! Margot and Olivia were a dream couple. They had so much history, so much pining, and so much chemistry. Plus in classic Bellefluer fashion, this book had laugh-out-loud funny moments too, including animal friend hijinks, messy cooking, and grand theft auto. If you're looking for steamy sweet sapphic romance, there's nothing better!

I absolutely loved Count Your Lucky Stars! It's the third book in the Written in the Stars series, and I'm so glad that I got to read about Margot's happy ending, while also getting to see how Brendon and Annie, as well as Darcy and Elle were doing. I found this one to be so sweet, and I loved how Olivia fit seamlessly into their friend group! I couldn't help but root for Margot and Olivia,

This book is just CUTE. I love a good romcom and this had all my favorite elements- forced proximity, cute banter, and very love able side characters.
Margot and Olivia were best friends in high school, but they haven’t spoken in 11 years. When they run into each other again just after Olivia’s divorce, they’re not totally certain where they stand. When they end up as roommates, the tension builds…😉

This is the third book in a character series and full disclosure I have not yet read the other two BUT I ordered them as soon as I finished this one!
4.5 stars- I’m so excited to read more about these sweet, very real characters!

Alexandria Bellefleur does it again!

Margot takes center stage as her ex-best friend (& spring fling) reenters her life and they become roommates. Recently divorced and living in a new city, Olivia is navigating a life she never planned on.

This is a perfect continuation of the Written in the Stars series! It was really neat seeing how the characters from previous books were doing. Plus, Margot & Olivia's story is full of heart, second change romance, estranged best friends to lovers, AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES. I really enjoyed reading about their relationship!

All in all, this was a lovely romance novel and I am looking forward to seeing (& reading) what Alexandria Bellefleur does next!

Many thanks to NetGalley & Avon for this eARC! I really appreciate the opportunity to read Count Your Lucky Stars!

The hardest part about reviewing this book is deciding whether it's my favorite of Bellefleur's books or not. I loved each of her previous books and I loved this one just as much (and possibly more). Over the past two books, I have grown to love Margot with her biting wit and her gooey marshmallow under the snark. I was ecstatic that she was getting her own romance novel, with a second chance romance and the book did not disappoint.

My goodness this is funny (I laughed out loud several times) and suuuper hot. Olivia and Margot are easy to cheer for and you just want them to get it right this time. I loved this book. Highly recommend.
