This is a board book with a simple look at all things a child is and can be. They can be still like the night, wiggly like a worm, cranky like a crab. It works well and the illustrations are bright, colorful, and will have little hands reaching for the pages.
"I Am a Force of Nature" has bright, colorful illustrations that draw the reader in. I felt a disconnect in the story though, as it's written somewhat lyrical or in verse, but each page doesn't flow quit right. There's also a slight mismatch on the grammar from page to page. This could be because it's an ARC and might receive some additional edits. With that hope, I gave it three stars.
This is lovely! Sweet, affirming messages are combined with bold, colorful illustrations to make a wonderful book. This would make a lovely bedtime/quiet time book and it's a great sneaky lesson in adjectives and descriptive language too.
An excellent addition to any elementary school/classroom and personal libraries!
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
I read this one to my 5yr old before bed and when she woke up she wanted me to read it again right away. The illustration's are gorgeous and really eye catching. She is already trying to '"read" this story to me too. I will definitely be adding this to my baby shower gift book list.
This is a cute baby book! The illustrations are bright and colorful and the text is fun and engaging for children.
This is a beautiful little book for children, including my young son. The images were clear and colorful, and the messaging was simple and well-thought out. I appreciated the inclusion of non-traditional traits that pull in some realism for the children (like sleepy and cranky) because sometimes a brave and beautiful child can have his/her moments, and it's important to tell them that that's OK. This will definitely find a place on our shelf.
This was such a cute book. The illustrations were bright and complimented the writing. My son loved this book. It’s perfect for toddlers.
Engaging illustrations with bright colours and engaging text. I read this to my toddler and he loved the images.
