This one was pretty cute, but not super memorable. I enjoyed myself while I was reading it, but it's not one I see myself coming back to often, or thinking about very often either. Definitely not a bad book. I was just either not in the mood for it, or it just didn't connect for me. I can't quite figure it out. Hopefully it works better for you.
Mills’ premise of three women running a daycare as the main characters in her trilogy is creative and unique. The relationship between the three women is as important, if not more, than the romantic elements. I really enjoyed this series, even if it sat on my TBR pile for far too long.
This is a cute small town romance that is enjoyable I love the concept of a wedding being at the center of a story. The characters are well written, and the secondary characters add to the story. It’s not steamy, but I did like both the tone and plot of the story. It’s a cute book.
In Phoebe Mills’s A Wedding on Sunshine Corner, the second installment in the Sunshine Corner contemporary romance series, this sweet love story would sweep you off your feet and give you all the feels. Savannah Lowe had always been a free spirit, moving from one interest to another in her hobby, trying to get her foot in the ground. Her parents and older brother had spoiled her in the past. But when her best friend Abby hired her to become a daycare teacher at Sunshine Corner, she wasn’t sure if she could put it off. A couple of times, she had run interference for one undisciplined child who caused trouble for her class. Then her older brother Caleb had wanted her to help plan his wedding with his best friend, Noah Adams. He had always ruffled her feathers and then some. He was the last person she would rather work with. Noah Adams couldn’t believe he would be working with his best friend’s baby sister, Savannah, who was such a spoiled princess. He’s a single divorced father who’s trying to make ends meet to care for his young five-old-daughter Rosie. And he’s trying to please everybody at the fire station as an EMT/paramedic with his flexible work schedule. When they worked together to give Caleb and Issa a perfect dream wedding, they’ve gotten to know each other better through teamwork. But after one tempted kiss, the chemistry they had was off the charts. Due to an unfortunate mishap and a glitch, they needed to realize they need each other and learn how to ask for help when they needed it the most.
This heartfelt contemporary romance was endearing and moving that tugged your heart’s strings. I cared for Savannah, who wanted to find her own way and be her own person. I also adored Noah who wanted to do right for Rosie, and also wanted to have a great support system. They make an adorable couple who were made for each other. The location of Heart’s Hope Bay is picturesque for a small beach town in Southern California with majestic scenic settings. The dual themes of the story is love will find a way back to your hearts; and it’s never too late to ask for help.
This sweet contemporary romance will make your heart sigh and weep. I rated this book, five out of five stars for no reason. If you love heartfelt contemporary romances with non-stop drama, plenty of romantic action, and a dose of sweet humor, you’ll enjoy the Wedding on Sunshine Corner. This is recommended for fans of Hallmark Channel movies, and romance novels from Jill Shalvis, Kristan Higgins, and Kristen Callihan.
This one is my favourite of the series so far! I fell in love with Savannah & Noah 🥰 not to mention little Rosie! Both grew so much throughout, & their love & loyalty to their friends & family was 😍🥰 I loved getting to know the characters & town through both stories, & I look forward to getting to know more in the next book!
If there is a lovable small town you need in your life, this is it! I was blow away by these stories, & plan to reread them in the future 💗💗💗
Thank you so much @readforeverpub for the #Gifted copy!
I was loving this so much! It had enemies to lovers and they knew each other in childhood which is an element I love.
I really despised the conflict here. It was something blown so out of proportion that it got on my nerves, but it was resolved well and I was grateful for that. I think it was a really fun read.
A Wedding on Sunshine Corner is the second book in the Sunshine Corner series. This book revolves around two characters that the reader was introduced to in the first book. While this is a second book in the series, if the reader doesn’t mind obvious spoilers as to the way the first book ended, this could be read as a standalone. The author gives enough background and context that the reader can follow without reading the previous book.
Savannah, our heroine, works at her best friend’s daycare center. Noah, a single father and best friend of one of Savannah’s brothers, has always viewed Savannah as spoiled and pampered, and there’s always been a chemistry there. With Savannah as his daughter’s preschool teacher and their joint responsibility of helping Savannah’s brother with wedding planning, it’s impossible to ignore the tension and attraction.
I loved the dynamic between the characters, and this was the perfect blend of small-town romance and brother’s best friend tropes for me. Noah’s daughter is precious, and I adored watching her find her confidence over the course of the story and the way her relationship developed with Savannah.
I can’t wait to see what’s next in this series.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced digital copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Palpable chemistry, small town charm, and a sweet romance. What's not to love? Add in a cast of fun characters, a unique daycare setting, an adorable little girl, and a spunky grandma and you've got the recipe for a great book! I enjoyed returning to this small town and seeing the characters develop from book one. This was lovely and made my heart happy.
Savannah and Noah have grown up together with Noah being close to her brothers, but they have never been friends. Noah’s been nothing but uptight and judgmental towards Savannah and Noah regards her as spoiled, flighty, and impulsive. However, when Caleb, Savannah’s older brother, asks them to team up to help plan their wedding in Heart’s Hope Bay they must set aside their differences to work together.
Both Noah and Savannah have a lot on their plate. Savannah has just started as a teacher and coordinator at her friend Abby’s (the previous installments heroine) preschool, and Noah is juggling work while raising his four-year-old daughter alone. Savannah has a lot of self-doubt since most of her attempts at finding her career path have fizzled out. It was obvious to me that she was a hard worker, she just hadn’t found her niche yet, and I appreciated Abby’s unwavering support. Savannah had a great bunch of female friends in her corner as well as a big loving family.
I felt for Noah since he was the primary caretaker of his daughter. It’s hard for me to believe that a woman would move states away from her young daughter for a career opportunity and give up primary custody. I found it hard to understand why he was so stubborn to accept help from others. I also had a really hard reconciling his judgmental attitude towards Savannah one minute with his attraction to her the next which made it hard to buy into their romance for me. He had no right to go off on her the way he did with the final conflict (you know the one that comes about 75-80% in ?), especially when Savannah took care of the majority of the wedding planning even though it was supposed to be a shared burden. Noah was such a complete jerk dressing her down, feeding into her worst insecurities. I would’ve had a hard time forgiving him. I was happy Savannah didn’t just take him back quickly when he realized how badly he screwed up, but I would’ve liked a bit more from him. More groveling for sure.
I just finished the first book last month so I had to quickly read the second. I loved this one. I really enjoyed how fiesty the MC was. I loved her in the first and even more in the second. I loved the enemies to lovers trope just as much as the love story that came with it. Super cute and highly recommend
Sweet, small-town, enemies to lovers book.
I've read each of the Sunshine Corner series books, and they are all very good. In this one, Savannah, a woman who has been pampered all her life but is now working at a daycare, and Noah, a single father whose daughter is in Savannah's class are tasked with planning a wedding. They are forced to work together despite their past friction, and the result is entertaining.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.
The second standalone in the Sunshine Corner series, this is a charming small-town enemies to lovers story- a real treat.
As they get to know each other better, MC Savannah (a sweet preschool teacher) and Noah (a single dad and her brother’s best friend) work together to plan Savannah’s brother’s wedding and, in so doing, they exchange their mutual animosity for affection.
I love the characters, the chemistry, the light steam, and the wedding planning details.
Thank you very much to the publisher, Forever, and netgalley for the opportunity to read this.
This was such a sweet fun romance! It had a lot of things I love…enemies to lovers, brothers best friend, single parent, and small town. The characters were likeable the the plot was enjoyable and the pace was good. I loved the banter between the two main characters. This is the second book in the series but could be read as a stand alone as well. I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series.
This is the second book in the Sunshine corner series but can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed seeing the characters I had met in the previous book once again - and getting to know Savannah's story. In this story, Savannah grows into her own with her confidence and self-esteem growing. I like that she realises her worth - it makes this story more than just a romance story. This is the perfect weekend read to relax with.
I really enjoyed The House on Sunshine Corner by Phoebe Mills, and A Wedding on Sunshine Corner was even better! Although it’s the second book in the Sunshine Corner series, it can be read as a standalone!
Savannah, a teacher, and Noah, a paramedic and single dad whose daughter attends the preschool Savannah runs, have never gotten along. Savannah also happens to be Noah’s best friend’s younger sister, and he’s always thought she was a pampered princess. Now, they’re tasked with helping to plan Savannah’s brother’s wedding. Can they overcome their differences to plan the ultimate wedding?
This was an absolutely delightful small town, enemies to lovers contemporary romance! I adored both Savannah and Noah because they’re the kind of characters you can’t help rooting for, and there were some major sparks flying between them! Noah was an amazing dad, and his daughter, Rosie, was beyond adorable! I loved how good Savannah was with Rosie, and she was also a wonderful teacher and a kind and compassionate friend. Noah was a great guy once he let his guard down, but I was angry with the way he treated Savannah at one point. He definitely made up for it in the end though! I’m already anxiously awaiting the next book in this feel good, charming, and swoon-worthy series!
I was happy to revisit this small town this time focusing on Savannah Lowe, a preschool teacher and handsome firefighter/single dad, Noah.
.
Noah is best friends with Savannah’s brothers and has never gotten along with Savannah, but when the two are thrown together to plan the wedding of Savannah’s brother/Noah’s best friend they soon learn that they most certainly are not enemies!
.
If you love a small town romance, and enemies to love this book is for you! I can’t wait to revisit sunshine corner with book three!

Wedding in Sunshine Corner
Savannah is all in on running a daycare and teaching the kids despite her many insecurities. One of the children in her class belongs to Noah, her brother’s best friend who always saw her a flighty, spoiled little girl.
Noah is struggling with his work schedule and being a single father and being pulled in many different directions.
When Savannah’s brother and fiancée ask for Savannah and Noah to join together to be their wedding planners on the ground, the two are forced to spend time together to plan the wedding.
As they both realize the pressures the others facing the begin to form a friendship. There is, of course, some conflict along the way both personally and professionally.
This was a cute small town romance with enemies to lovers and forced proximity vibes. Throw in brother’s best friend and I was hooked!
I am obsessed with the covers for this series. They literally make me so happy, just as much as the books do. I was obsessed with The House on Sunshine Corner so I had high hopes for this one - and it DELIVERED. Truly an enemies to lovers romance, Savannah and Noah have known each other since childhood and have never gotten along. Noah thinks she is a spoiled princess and makes no secret of it, which in turn means Savannah doesn't like Noah due to the insults flung for years. But when Savannah's brother and Noah's best friend announces he's engaged and wants them to plan the wedding, they must come to a truce and start to see eye to eye. And when they do... man the sparks fly.
Obsessed is the best word to describe my feelings for this book. I can't pick a favorite between the two in the Sunshine Corner series, you can't make me. I love enemies to lovers with loads of sexual tension. It has dual POVs so you get to see both characters start to let down their guard and fall in love with the other, it's just my favorite kind of book hands down. They also help each other grow so much in their insecurities and bad behaviors, I was cheering for them both the whole way through.
There is a bit more spice in this one than the previous book (no complaints here). I would read a million more book set in this small town and Phoebe Mills is a new author I will need to keep an eye on for more books.
