Captain Jack Owens has no real interest of returning home, his horrible grandmother has spoiled the place for him, but orders must be followed.
There will be extra responsibilities waiting for him.
Kate Rafferty has been the ward of a crotchety old lady for the last few years. With the old lady's death she hopes to start her independent life. She is an intelligent and capable young woman. The news she received in London will cause her all sorts of problems.
An action filled historical romance with fabulous characters and lots of intrigue. There is a mystery to solve and dangerous people to catch.
This book is part of a fabulous series but can easily be read on it's own.
Good fun

Charming historical romance set in Regency England, Dangerous Knight is part of a series but may be enjoyed as a stand-alone book. Captain Owens returns from serving on Wellington’s staff to receive a knighthood and finds Kate as his ward through her connection with his recently deceased great aunt. A plot to kill the Prince Regent threatens to disrupt the knighthood celebration and Captain Owens and his colleagues must thwart the conspirators while coming to terms with his feelings for Kate and aversion to marriage.

I was excited that Captian Jack Owens got his own book. He was a great side character, fellow soldier, spy, and friend to Felix Knight, Dark of Knight book four. This book can be read alone, however I recommend the series.
Jack is sent back to England to be knighted. He finds out not only is has his grandmother passed, but left him a ward. Kate was very witty and quite astute. Which made her perfect for Jack. Kate getting caught up in his investigation just added to the adventure.

Dangerous Knight is a sweet romance that is entertaining and hard to put down. All of the characters are well-written and I look forward to Phillip and Maria's book.

Elizabeth Johns is an outstanding author with a unique writing style that instantly draws the reader in. I highly recommend her other books.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for an honest review.
