As with the other collected versions of the Rebel Girls stories, this would be an excellent gift for any burgeoning young feminist. The brand has perfected its aesthetic and storytelling style and does a great job providing quick introductions to women throughout history. This volume is no exception and I like this collection's theme.

I received an eARC copy from Rebel Girls via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This instalment in the Rebel Girls series brings us short and sweet essays on magnificent female athletes and champions. I was positively surprised to see that it included the achievements of the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, keeping its stories up to date. The book shows how determination and perseverance bring wins and positive results in the end. Dedication and commitment take us to our goals, just like Rebel Girls Champions: 25 Tales of Unstoppable Athletes paves the way for future young athletes and their success in sport and life. Lead and inspire!

Essays on different female athletes and champions from many countries. Wonderful and inspiring. Short and to the point. This is a good way to get the younger reader interested in athletics and to research more on the athletes mentioned.

So glad that The Rebel Girls series exists.

Note: I received an advance copy from NetGalley. So glad that I did. I had heard about the series, but had not read any of the books before. I would like to read more of the books and would recommend them to young readers.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Rebel Girls Championss is a children's picture book that contains biographies of 25 unstoppable female athletes from all different backgrounds and sports. The book contains full-color illustrations as well as 1-2 page informational text excerpts. I would guess that the grade-level that this book targets would be between 5th-6th grade.

Overall, this book has a very important message. It's so important to tell young girls about all of the possibilities open to them and to encourage them to pursue their dreams. Often, when books include biographies of "heroes" or "famous people," they're almost always all men. The Rebel Girls series of books is incredible, because they show young girls everywhere they can follow their dreams and be successful. If you're intrigued by the description, I highly recommend that you check out this book when it comes out in March!

Of all the Rebel girls books I've read so far, this is definitely the most inspirational. The people in this book have defied incredible odds to achieve their goals and it can show you that anyone can do anything. I haven't heard of most of these people and I think that this is so important for people to read.

Thank you, Rebel Girls, Inc. for the copy.

I feel this book specifically from the Rebel Girls series be read more more so because we girls face this discrimination towards us when it comes to sports, not only from the males but also from the women in our lives. It's really frustrating to see the same thing not changing much over the years and girls are still discriminated when it comes to games and sports. We need more of these real life stories which tell girls everywhere around the world not only to face difficulties when they want to take part in sports but also on how to never give up on their dreams. Love this collection so much! Need another one on the same title but with another set of amazing athletes.

I love this kind of books. And I love sports. So, of course, I loved this book. And I think that this is one of the most necessary ones of the collection, because still nowadays, women have lots of fewer rights in sports. For example, in Spain, women football (or soccer, as they call it in the USA) is not considered to be professional. So there is a lot of work that needs to be done. And so does this book. I really recommend it for little girls, for little boys, for parents and for anyone that is interested in sports or loves stories.

An edition of Rebel Girls Champions is dedicated to all women of any religion or race to never give up on their dreams. Sport is not only for men. Women can and should join as well, not only for leisure, but also to be able to compete in any competition alongside with men.

My favourite story of the book was about Michelle Kwan who was a Figure Skater. The reason being is that I admire her for coming up from not a privileged background when her parents had to have multiple jobs to be able to provide sufficient income for the household. Yet to her, it did not matter because she’d rather to focus on her ability to skate well than to wear fancy dress.

A common theme for Rebel Girls books are illustrations with vivid colour scheme which I absolutely adored.

This book would be a perfect gift for any girl who likes any type of sport to remind her that there is nothing what can stop her from achieving big goals in the sports industry.

With thanks to NetGalley and especially to Rebel Girls for an electronic ARC in return for an honest review.

I love the Rebel Girls books! Rebel Girls Champions is a collection of stories about female athletes, some of whom are well known, like Megan Rapinoe and Serena Williams, as well as those who may not yet be household names but are no less inspiring. Through their examples, Rebel Girls Champions teaches important life lessons, such as the importance of mental health and self care, perseverance, and courage. I love that all girls can find themselves represented in this book, as well as all Rebel Girls books, no matter their background or interests, are represented here. The illustrations are beautiful, and all of them have been created by artists who are women.

I am so grateful to Rebel Girls and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review Rebel Girls Champions.

WOOP WOOP! I was so happy to see Serena in here. '

With the many female athletes, we seem to not appreciate, nor spread the news more about. For a moment I thought I wouldn't see Gabriella in here, but I did.

With my interest in track and field, I saw many female athletes I haven't heard of, and I learned more about.

I love the representation and diversity throughout. Cannot wait to buy for my cousin.

I've read multiple books by Rebel Girls and they never disappoint.
Their storytelling and illustrations are amazingly positive.

The book Champions, was released after the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and includes soccer star Megan Rapinoe, gymnast Simone Biles, and snowboarder Chloe Kim.

This project is written in fairytale form and is great for elementary school readers, but I always encourage anyone who's interested in learning about amazing people to read the Rebel Girls series. They give you a bit of information about the person in a way you want to go research more.

Always a great read.

*I appreciate receiving an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.

Excellent, as usual! I have read all the "Rebel Girls" books and this was good just like the others.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

It's a wonderful book showcasing important athletes in history. The story is on one page and the acompanying page shows a beautiful illustration of that woman, made by different women illustrators. There are different sports, some lesser known that others, but this is a great opportunity to introduce girls to sports not usually shown on TV.
At the end there's a page for readers to write their own story, to draw their portrait, and a quiz to learn what kind of champion they are. It's all really well done and engaging. It'd make a great gift, whether the reader is familiar with the Rebel Girls Series or not.

Another great volume in the Rebel Girls series, this time focused on the world of sport. From snowboarding, to football, and skateboarding to gymnastics, there's another collection of incredible women gathered here to inspire young minds (and older ones!).

Thank you to the publishers for allowing me to review Rebel Girls Champions!

I smiled so much when I was reading this during a commute. I absolutely love inspirational sports stories and particularly those with female athletes who overcome adversity and go on to become hugely successful. This is a great follow-on read from the Olympics last year as it features some well-known names including Simone Biles, Sky Brown and Suni Lee. However, there are also historical figures and that balance really does add to the beauty of the Rebel Girls books. Once again extremely diverse, accessible and beautiful, I can't recommend this series highly enough.

Many thanks to Net Galley for the digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first real encounter with the Rebel Girl series, even though I have heard about it before and loved the concept of the series. This particular book has 25 tales of athletes, I didn’t know many before reading this book (but I am not really into sports, I actually chose this book to branch out of my comfort zone, so before reading this book I only knew about Serena Williams and Simone Biles). The athletes are organized in alphabetical order according to their first names and each athlete gets one page of writing and an illustration. The information given is surface level at best but I think it provides a nice introduction to young readers and the illustrations are lovely. I do wish there were no repeats of sports (two swimmers, three soccer players, two gymnasts) but their stories were all interesting and inspirational. At the end of the book there is also space provided for the reader to write their own story along with a quiz to find out what kind of champion the reader could be. I think this book would make a nice gift and will be buying a copy for my nieces in the future.

3.5 Stars (I received an e-arc from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review)

Honestly this is an ok addition to the rebel girls series, it wasn't my favourite. The majority of the athletes featured in here are American only a few Canadians with sprinkle of other countries. Meh
