Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a powerful role model. She was not afraid to stand up for what she believed in, even if not everybody agreed with her.

She did not win every 'fight', but that she never gave up, she believed that everyone should have the same opportunities regardless of race or gender.

These are qualities and values we can strive for.

The Little People, Big Dreams books give a brief and succinct account of a person's life, depending on the age of the reader/audience, they can be a great starting point for more in-depth discussion or research on topics. In this book for example, with older readers, it would be interesting to find out more about Sweden and their steps towards equality, and maybe think about what 'equality' looks like where you are from.

Even the simple line in the book 'feminism isn't just about girls'...is a great starting point for discussion.
