I have always wondered about Kundalini Yoga. The book was very easy to understand and I appreciated how in depth the poses were explained. Highly recommend for the beginner interested in or long follower of Kundalini Yoga.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy. This is my honest review.
For a beginner or someone with knowledge of Kundalini Yoga this is a sensible easy to understand guide. The author includes life force, basic practice, nutrition and spiritual practice of Kundalini. The poses are explained here in detail that any beginner would be easily able to follow along. I recommend this book for all who are exploring Kundalini Yoga .
Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley. My review opinion is my own.
The ARC I read of this book was definitely still a work in progress, as there were several sections with "TK" standing in for additional text.
I have practiced yoga for a while, and even a little Kundalini before, but there was so much that was interesting here! The author went more into depth on certain things than other instructors or books I'd had experience with before. Some of the things I found fascinating were the descriptions of the symbols associated with the chakras, and the significance of easy pose. (And here I thought it was just easy!)
The book follows an easy-to-understand format, where each chapter builds on the ideas of the next. There are practices at the end of each one. If you are new to these practices, you will need to "work up" to doing some of them for the recommended length. But it's still fun to just read through them, and maybe try them each for even one minute to start.
If you are an instructor or enthusiast of yoga, and are looking to learn a little more about this form (Kundalini), the finished product here would definitely be an asset to your learning.
