Thank you so much to NetGalley and SMP for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Finlay Donovan is back at it again in book two of the Finlay Donovan series. This is a new adventure that was triggered in the previous book which I liked, it made it just feel like one longer-ish book. Finlay and Vero find out there is a threat against her ex-husband and have to take action to try to solve the mystery before something happens to him.

I loved book 1 so I knew to expect that this one would possibly fall short- they can't all be literally perfect) but it was also funny, and action packed. I had a few issues with some of the annoying parts of certain characters were simply expanded on which made them more annoying. I'm having a difficult time liking Vero and that stinks since she is such an important part of the story. But the writing is top notch and the humor from the other characters more than makes up for it.

I will absolutely be continuing this series.

This very quickly has become one of my favorite series! It’s hilarious and the situations these two find themselves in is highly entertaining!

Elle Cosimano’s Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead is the second installment in the Finlay Donovan series. This story is just as good as the first one, if not better. Finlay and her cast of characters are perfect. The antics between the nanny and her Finlay's ex husband are hilarious This installment delivers another whirlwind of suspense, humor, and chaos that keeps readers laughing while biting their nails.
This fast-paced, novel combines part mystery, part crime and part comedy, all wrapped up in the messy life of Finlay Donovan, a struggling writer and somehow an accidental murder for hire.. Finlay Donovan is back, and her life hasn’t gotten any easier. she is still juggling single motherhood, managing the antics of her nanny, a writer struggling to write her next installment of her book series. This installment finds Finlay trying to figure out who is trying to kill her ex husband. Determined to protect her kids' father (despite his flaws) and keep herself out of further trouble, Finlay and her nanny Vero find themselves in increasingly absurd situations as they uncover secrets, dodge danger, and try to survive one mishap after another. You can't help but root for them. Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead is a wildly entertaining sequel that proves Elle Cosimano’s knows what she is doing. If you are a fan of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series or anyone looking for a fun, laugh-out-loud, and suspenseful escape. Finlay Donovan is a star, and I can’t wait to see what trouble she gets into next!

The second book in the series follows Finlay and Vero as they get themselves in deeper with the mob while trying to figure out who has put a hit out on Finlay’s ex-husband, Steven, as well as who Easy Clean is and why they are so eager in trying to accept the hit job. Finlay must also keep Officer Nick at arms reach so she doesn’t get caught, and because she isn’t quite ready to let him in her life. We also get more insight into Vero’s life and the secrets she has tried to leave behind her. The book is easy to read and follow but keeps your attention. I have listened to this in audiobook format and really loved the narrator, the slight voice changes for characters, and the pacing. I also like the cover art for this book!

I was so excited about this series, I immediately dove into this second one as soon as I had finished the first. I’m in awe at how the author just weaves all these things together, and how our heroines get out of all their jams. This one was just as much fun as the first, and I am wondering just how Finley is going to get out of this latest jam, what’s up with Vero, and now that Finley is…well, read this one and find out. I’m off to read the next one as soon as I’m done with this one. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and publisher for the 48 hour access to the series!

*Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead* is the thrilling and hilarious fourth book in the series, and it absolutely delivers! Elle Cosimano continues to weave together humor, suspense, and heart in a way that keeps you glued to the page from start to finish.

In this installment, Finlay finds herself in the middle of another chaotic mess—this time involving a real murder mystery that seems to hit much too close to home. As always, her life is a whirlwind of misadventures, from her ever-complicated relationship with Nick to her attempts at navigating the craziness that comes with being a single mom and accidental amateur detective. But what really stands out in this book is Finlay’s growth. She’s learning to balance her personal and professional life while still making questionable decisions that lead to hilarious and high-stakes situations.

The plot is packed with unexpected twists, edge-of-your-seat moments, and laugh-out-loud scenes. Cosimano masterfully keeps you guessing while throwing in those perfect comedic touches that make this series such a gem. The dynamic between Finlay and Vero is stronger than ever, and their banter is, as usual, one of the highlights of the book. I also loved seeing Finlay’s relationship with Nick evolve, adding a layer of warmth and genuine emotion to the mix of chaos.

If you love fun, fast-paced mysteries with a quirky and lovable lead, *Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead* is a must-read. Cosimano knows how to keep a series fresh and exciting, and this book is no exception. I can’t wait to see what Finlay gets into next! Highly recommend!

Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead is the second book in the Finlay Donovan series. This book follows Finlay and Vero as they try to figure out who has put a hit on Finlay's ex husband, Steve, and who is the assassin that is trying to kill Steve.

You know a love triangle is well written when you as a reader are indecisive on which love interest you are rooting for. Last book I was team law and this book I was more team order. I love that Finlay no matter what is an independent woman but I love her banter with Julian and Nick, the relationship she has with them are both very different but I always feel drawn to both stories and rooting at different parts for one more than the other, but this keeps switching so we shall see where the series takes me.

Finlay and Vero are such an amazing team and their friendship is amazing, I love the way they bicker like an old married couple but their relationship feels more like a sisterhood then just a friendship.

This book like the first one was a fast easy read and it was so hard to put it down. I cannot wait to see where the next book of the series will take us.

Thank you NetGalley and Elle Cosimano for making this book available as a read now on NetGalley and giving me a chance to binge on this series.

I may have liked this one even more! The suspense is upped from book 1 but it kept the lightheartedness. On to book 3! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Finlay Donovan continues, this time trying to figure out who is trying to kill her ex-husband while keeping everything from her hot cop boyfriend. Oh, and she needs to submit a manuscript to her editor as always. Finlay again is captivating, with every page holding your attention. Absolutely recommend this series always!

I didn't realize how much I needed Finlay Donovan and Vero in my life!! This book really solidifies their friendship and I love how much they are there for each other. While also causing a lot of crazy with organized crime and a hit job on her ex husband.... I also loved that it was set at Christmas time, perfect timing for when I read it myself.
I loved her relationship progressions, even if it is funny to me that she is dating the bartender/attorney.
I honestly love reading a book about a woman my age with kids the same as mine, getting into so many antics and having the time of her life doing them. While also over stressing about everything! Going in disguise to the jail and getting caught, to getting shot at, and figuring out who ordered the hit on her ex husband! This book was fantastic and I honestly couldn't listen to it fast enough. And I really enjoy the audio narrator, she has great accents for everyone and it is very easy to figure out who is talking. But now I need this to become a tv show and Finlay's books to be real. And getting Vero a stocking hung with the family at the end about made me cry.

Every Finlay Donovan book is a must read. They are all so goooooood! This one did not disappoint. All the books in this series are slowly becoming my all time favorite reads and I anticipate each one when they release. I can't wait for the next one already. It has everything you could want in a book.....romance, mystery, two strong female characters that get into hilarious situations over and over. I love the main character and her side kick nanny. As a mom, I understand the things she goes through and can't imagine getting caught up in a murder scheme! These books are always a good time!

'Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead' returns readers to the world of Finlay Donovan and her antics as an accidental hit-woman. This time she has to put her skills to use to discover who wants her ex-husband dead. Along with partner Vero, she attempts to balance a love life, the Russian mob, and the looming deadline of her next novel. Once again, Elle Cosimano keeps readers guessing at what forces are at play in Finlay's case with a heavy dose of humor. Memorable for me in this book is the developing relationship between Finlay and Vero. The dynamic between these two characters is hilarious, while also feeling real.

Thank you to Elle Cosimano and Minotaur Books for the ARC in exchange for a honest review of 'Finlay Donovan Knocks "Em Dead.'

Book two in the Finlay Donovan series just got even better I believe! Read the book in a day… I couldn’t put it down! Yet again found myself laughing out loud at their hijinks! Love how Finlay is coming in to her own as a divorced mom with Vero by her side to help!

Finished the first one yesterday. And started this one last night. I just really enjoy the tone and the whole element of her ex-husband being the target….another layer of fun to another great and fun story!

Great continuation of the first book! As to be expected, I was laughing out loud constantly reading about Finlay & Vero’s latest adventure! I enjoyed the reveal of who FedUp was, and I had no idea what direction the story would take. This is becoming one of my favourite series! It doesn’t take itself too seriously and is always just a great time! About to jump straight into the next!!

Fun, fast-paced read, very easy (popcorn lit). The second installment is just as good as the first. I loved the concept of Finlay being a hit woman, but she sort of segues into more of an investigator. After her hit woman days, she’s now more connected to the mob.
This is an addictive series and I’m excited to start the next book.

This was a good follow up to the first Finlay Donovan. More of the same but it is such a fun series that who really cares? I love the characters.

Thanks to NetGalley and Minotaur Books for the digital copy of this book; I am leaving my review voluntarily. I've had the Finlay Donovan books on my radar for a while and am finally getting around to reading them.

This is the 2nd book in the series, and I haven't read the first book, but I felt this book did a good job of encapsulating the backstory. There's been a hit put out on Finlay's ex-husband, and despite loathing him as a person, this poses a threat to the father of her children. It also puts their children in harm's way when they have visitation. Naturally, Finlay doesn't want anything to happen (although she's fantasized about it a few times) and tries to get to the bottom of the mystery.

There's plenty of humor in these pages, and just the sort of book I needed after reading some heavier non-fiction titles. I loved the relationship between Finlay and Vero, and can't wait to catch up on the rest of the series!
