Super cute, super short, super on point book about beginning noise sounds and how to help babies stretch babbles into full on words. Repetitive and balanced, in a good way, Let's Talk, Baby is written by a mom & speech pathologist. Love the illustrations, full of an adorable whale family.

Only negative in my early literacy teacher's mind was the font: I get aesthetics & that parents get bored of looking at the same old, boring serif fonts over and over again, but if books are going to grow with their kids, and help them build literacy skills later, then using a cursive font (or as close to a cursive font as I've ever seen in a book for babies) is not the best choice. Again: nothing against the content, just a note about why it doesn't get five stars from me.

The best part of this book was the page of tips for using Babble books, or any kind of books. The rest of the book had delightful illustrations but the script was weirdly distracting. Do we really need to read the words needed to communicate with a baby.? Perhaps they don’t come naturally to some. This book is for them.

This book is intended to help encourage babies to speak earlier by emphasizing sounds they can form. I find this to be an interesting concept, but since my baby isn't born yet I haven't tried it!

A short but sweet book to share with the very young to encourage chatter. The illustrations are appealing and there are tips on encouraging babies to babble with first sounds.

Beautiful illustrations. A very simple book with easy to use guidelines for parents and baby to start using words. The board book format is gorgeous for baby's tactile use, and simple, helpful instructions for parents. A lovely book for a new parent gift!

Very cute illustrations! I originally read this with my three year old and she could repeat after me the entire book so I think she was a little too old for this one. That being said, I have a 10 month old baby who is more likely to benefit from this story in a few months. I would definitely purchase this for her! This book would be a perfect gift as a baby’s first book.

With watercolor illustrations that invite caregivers to narrate as they go, and text that uses words that babies use very early (mama, dada, hi, etc) this is an excellent book for new parents to read with Baby over and over. The tips from the speech pathologist are helpful and practical, and they set this book apart from other board books.

This seems like a good book to help your baby start learning to talk! The graphics are cute and I love that the author is a speech pathologist and gives great tips at the beginning!

A short, quick read with simple, colorful illustrations, this is perfect for storytime with an infant. I like that they include tips for reading it to your child, and that they include the list of early speech sounds in the front. There's no real story to the book, instead each page has an illustration of a whale and speech bubbles that include one or two words that go along with what the whale is doing. He says hello, eats some fish, and sees some frogs hopping.

Let’s Talk Baby is an adorable book that is meant to help parents or their baby’s first words. The book offers helpful ways to communicate with your baby and which letter sounds are easiest for babies to make.

The illustrations in this book were simple and sweet. I loved the page with the baby whale eating goldfish. There were few words on each page, making this a great book to share with small children. This is a great addition to any new parents library.

So this is super cute and the graphics and illustrations are adorable.

But this book is kiiiiinda nothing special? I was expecting a bit more because it's a children's book marketed as a pediatric speech pathologist helping but there isn't really much to help with! I get the idea behind it but I think it needs more pages. It was a bit short and could use more prompts. I have a 6 month old and he and I did this together and it was over rather quick.

But I'm still rating it 4 stars.

An interesting book to increase baby's verbal skills. It has some tips on pronunciation and diction to help baby with their speech. The illustrations are colorful and cute and go along with the words. Overall, a fun baby book!

This is really good. The bright colors and the simple sentences, also the adorable whales? So easy for children to follow. The tips for the babble books at the start are amazing too.

As someone who works in the early years, I thought this book provides information in a cute way in which young children themselves could read along to and enjoy. The pictures are fun and I think this book would be a good addition into early years library’s!
