This is a heartwarming contemporary Christmas romance. There is something especially satisfying about Hallmark holiday romances, and this one was exactly the reading experience I was hoping for. If you are looking for a small town setting with low anguish and a backdrop of Christmas lights, falling snow, and a parade, this book is for you. Most enjoyable with a hot cocoa and if you want a happy ending.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This book gave me all the feels. I enjoyed the fun sweet romance and small time vibes. A holiday read for any time of year. This is such a Hallmark movie waiting to happen!
This book was super cute. It had what my heart craved a cute small Town romance, a Christmas parade, with elves and reindeers, and Santa Claus. My list can go ON and ON. I loved the family chemistry. And It had all the small Town vibes, people caring for their community. I want to live there. And the ending, what Can i say chefs kiss.
Thank you to netgalley for letting me read this e arc in exchange for an honest opinion
on Christmas Avenue is a fun love story between Mary, a fundraising organizer and Evan, the Sheriff of the town she is sent to revive. While the story was a little bland, it was still an enjoyable uplifting read about a town that pulls together when its needed most. Hopefully the author does sequels so Evan’s brothers can each have their own story.
This is a fun sweet romance set in a small town that's struggling financially. Its town council decides to hire a consultant to help them generate more revenue, but only gives Mary two weeks and a $10,000 budget to perform a miracle.
While she is supposed to have the support of the town, the town liaison is Evan, the town sheriff, whose mayor-mother has suckered him into the role without warning. And he's none too pleased about it.
Evan loves the town and can't see how spending $10,000 on a consultant will help save it. Better to safeguard the money and spend it more wisely.
Mary falls in love with the town as soon as she sees it and knows she can make a difference, but only if Evan will get out of her way.
In the intervening conflicts that arise, sparks fly and Evan and Mary start wondering what happens after the Christmas comes and goes. You'll love the journey they're on!
Thanks to NetGalley, Hallmark Publishing and the author for sharing an ARC with me.
Christmas is Clark Creek
A feel-good, small-town holiday romance. Published by Hallmark this is perfect for those that love Hallmark channels Christmas movies and those that love sweet contemporary romances. On Christmas Avenue showcases the true spirit of the holiday – coming together, hope, wonder, and magic. The town comes to life and I enjoyed all the characters. I liked seeing scrooge-like Evan get into the spirit of Christmas. Mary brought hope and Christmas cheer to the town and I liked seeing her succeed in her work life as well as her personal life. I hope there’s follow up stories for the Clark brothers. Bonus is a recipe in the back which closely resembles my turkey stuffing recipe.
Very sweet book I thought. I love everything Christmas in books just makes me happy and feel love and promise. Her books are always amazing so I expected nothing less with this one.
I want to fist say thank you to the author and NetGalley for giving me the eARC.
I really enjoyed this book. It was the best Christmas book I have read so far. Great story line, engaging characters. An all around good book.
I love Christmas stories. And I have always enjoyed the books by Hallmark Publishing.
Mary Ward is hired by the town of Clark Creek, Virginia as a Christmas Consultant, to devise a plan, saving the town from financial ruin. Her plan for a Christmas Parade is accepted by all in the town. All that is except the sheriff, Evan Clark. Evan sees the parade as a drain on the town finances. And he tries everything he can to get Mary out of town.
Mary's plan moves forward, eventually with Evan on board, until disaster strikes. In threes!
This is a sweet romance, clean reading and very entertaining. Ginny Baird writes a lovely story, building a relationship between Mary and Evan that is believable and full of Christmas spirit. I really enjoyed it.

Christmas Avenue was a fascinating portrayal of how they go about planning for a Christmas parade in order to save a town.

I knew just what to expect from Ginny Baird's 'On Christmas Avenue', and I was not disappointed. This is a charming and heartfelt story that takes place at Christmas time, when tender emotions are at the forefront. Mary and Evan are victims of painful past relationships and thwarted Christmas expectations. I loved everything about it, especially the small town story. It wasn't just fluff, there was drama and tension juxtaposed with joy and good cheer. I highly recommend it for your holiday reading!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Clark Creek is a small town that is going bankrupt and they need a way to save their town. The town Council decides to hire a Christmas Consultant to see if she could think of a way to save the town. They hire Mary and then when the Evan the Sheriff, didn't think the town could afford to hire someone.
I really enjoyed this book, check it out and see what you think. I don't think you will be disappointed.
What a wonderful, feel good, holiday romance,
Mary is hired as a consultant to try to raise money and help save the small town of Clark Creek. She plans to do a Christmas Eve parade as a fundraiser and needs the support of the whole town, even the sheriff, Evan, who is against the idea. Mary must work hard for ten days to pull this off, and if she does, it will mean a big promotion at work. All goes well, even if there are some small hiccups along the way. But what was not part of her plan was the feelings she has for Even. Can Mary and Evan find their happily ever after, and can Mary save the town?
Truly enjoyed this story.

Some times you just need a Hallmark book! This one hit the spot thank you.
Mary is in Clark Creek to deliver a fantastic Christmas parade and make the town some money, but grumpy Sheriff Evan seems to be against her at every turn. Can she convince him her plans are the best for the town?
Hope Evan's brothers get their own books next!
Fun light read sure to make you smile
This is a fun story about problems, sometimes unexpected solutions, and finding love when you aren’t even interested. Clark Creek is a small town that is facing bankruptcy. There are simply no funds, so in an effort to keep the city solvent they hire a charity event planner. Mary has planned all types of charity fund raisers, that is what the company she works for does, and she’s ready for this one. She needs to plan a Christmas fundraiser to be held in two weeks and do it alone, no other planners involved. Evan is Clark Creek’s sheriff and worried about his city’s finances. How he sees his job is to figure out how to get rid of the event planner or Christmas Consultant before she can make the town’s financial problems even worse. But when Evan is ordered by the Mayor, his mother, to work with optimistic and enthusiastic Mary he finds his heart may not be aligned with what his logic says needs to be done. When things are finally coming together disasters strike. Will the town be saved and what about the new romance? A fun, entertaining read. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
