This book is the third book in the series and can be read as a standalone. It is written in third person from an alternating dual POV.
April is a single mom of three rambunctious and adorable children after an ugly divorce that took place a year ago. She is trying to hold her life together while building her online personality brand as The Calm Mom. Unfortunately, April is missing a lot of the calm she that used to come easily. I love how real April and her kids are to life I experienced as a mom of three and things I have witnessed in the experiences of other moms. The truth is: motherhood is both the hardest and most rewarding job a person can undertake. Some days feel insurmountable at the time, but you just have to keep moving forward. This is what April does, and she finds passion and love along the way. I also need to mention that the friend group that supports April is amazing. We all need a girl squad like those women.
Jack comes to help April recover after a bad viral video. He wasn’t looking for love, but he found it in April and her kids. The chemistry and communication between these two characters made me smile uncontrollably. I also love the special moments Jack shares with the kids. He is hot, kind, intelligent, and motivated to help April professionally and then personally. There is heat, passion, laughter, friendship, and more in this book. It would make a fantastic movie. Don’t wait to read this one. Warm fuzzy heart feelings are guaranteed.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

April is trying to build her brand as "The Calm Mom," an influencer who teaches yoga and meditation and is in control of her life. That image implodes during a terrible live stream that goes viral.
Jack shows up to fix things and get her back on track, and he is swoon-worthy. He isn't fazed (too much) by her crazy neighbors, her quirky kids, or how much help she needs to find her confidence again.
This story was so real, April losing herself after her divorce and falling into a mom rut, just barely keeping things together. The kids and the dog were spot on. When Jack and April fall for each other, it feels real and true - he's seen her at her worst and it doesn't deter him. This was a fun read, with lots of interesting supporting characters.

"That was the funny thing about forever--you could take all the time you need to get there."

April May Fall is a charming, witty and hilarious feel-good read. Filled with moments that will tug at your heart (Jack is ridiculously swoon-worthy), friends that will have you laughing-out-loud (Kitty is a show-stealer), and an inspiring re-kindling of self that will have you cheering April on as she repairs her broken pieces together into something even more beautiful with the help of those she loves.

I really enjoyed this book! I liked how independent April was, and the development she underwent throughout the book. I do enjoy a romance, but I liked that this wasn't the sole plot of this book.

Introducing Jack was amazing, he was the boyfriend that I feel that everyone wants. Apparently, including April!

ARC provided by Netgalley for an honest review.
I'm not sure why but I didn't connect with the characters in this installment like I did with the other two books. It was just an okay read. Nothing interesting really happened until about 60% in.

This book is a cute rom-com. I am a big fan of Hovland, however, I think the plot was mildly distracting and needed to be simplified. I found April was not as likable as I have come to expect from Hovland's heroines. I didn't hate her, but was just not as interested in her as a main character. Jack, the hero, and all the supporting characters are well developed. April's kids are so lovable. Overall, it's worth a read and was entertaining.

Tropes:
- Single mom (divorced)
- Grumpy / sunshine (kind of)
- Shenanigans
OMG I did not expect to LOVE so much this book! April is my kind of heroine. She is having a rough time with her recent divorce and staying a float in social media but her agency sends Josh to fix it up.
JOSH is my new book boyfriend!! OMG He was so sweet and loved how he interacted with April's kids which were hilarious.
One thing I did not see coming was the tension and spicy!! SOO If you are looking for a fun, heart warming history about finding yourself but allow you to love someone this is THE book!

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for giving me an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

The author creates a realistic portrayal of motherhood. Even though April is 'the calm mom' even she struggles to keep it together. The kids are just great, they are written not as perfect little angels but as children who have their own personalities and there own coping mechanisms for dealing with their world being turned upside down.

I loved how Jack, even though overwhelmed, steps up to help with the kids and he knows that they come first for April. He helps her achieve her dreams by encouraging and supporting her.

This is a feel good read that gives you hope in the happily ever after. And I don't mean fairytale I mean a relationship built on communication, love and compromise

I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I enjoyed April May Fall, but I think I might not be the right audience for it, which happens! I struggled to connect with these characters as much as I wanted to. But I'm also in a major reading slump, so that could easily explain this.

April has a really rough time in the beginning of this book. If it can go wrong, it does and with a camera rolling so everyone can see it. I felt so bad for her! And kinda bad for laughing about it. But the truth is, if you have kids, you have had these kinds of things happen to you. Mine never happened on camera, though!
April's confidence is shaken, of course, so Jack Gibson, April's manager, comes to help her find her confidence again before a big appearance. But he finds himself in a very different situation than he expected. He connects with April and also with her kids. His confidence in his well ordered life is shaken. Who's going to help Jack?
In addition to a fun and romantic couple, this book has a terrific cast of side characters. They are hilarious and nosy and supportive. The kids are realistic and entertaining. There is a lot of slapstick comedy, and there are also several very touching moments. I had a hard time putting this book down, starting with the very special dedication. A definite keeper!

I love this series by Christina Hovland! As a mom with little kids, there isn’t always a ton of books that show moms in a romantic light. The Mommy Wars series are not only relatable and hilarious but they are deliciously steamy as well!

April May Fall is the story of single mom, April, trying to not just hold it together, but also become a zen mom influencer. Enter Jack, whose job is to help influencers achieve fame. Together their chemistry is off the charts!

Though I loved April and Jack together, what really brought this all together was the supporting cast. April’s kids were both hysterical and darling. April’s friends were fabulous and brought an extra layer of heart to the story.

Overall, a fun read and wonderful addition to the series!

April May Fall by Christina Hovland a fabtastic five-star read. This is part of the Mommy Wars series and it can be read as stand-alone, I haven’t read them all and don’t feel I am missing anything, April is so sublime, she is dealing with everything that life has thrown her, and she may not feel like she is doing great, but she just needs someone to tell her. This was a great story and one I will certainly be re-reading and recommending as its one of those stories that you can get behind and identify with at least one character.

This book had so many laugh out loud moments. April is trying to hold it all together after her husband leaves her and their 3 children. Anyone who does a live feed is a brave soul! I absolutely loved the kids. Jack is a problem solver. I think we all need a Jack! He was so unprepared for April and her family. I fell in love with him over his interactions with the kids. This book was fantastic. The 'momisms' at the beginning of each chapter are classic! Some made me giggle and others made me want to be friends with the source of them. I've loved each book in this series as much as the last. I can't wait for the next. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I think that maybe I am not the target audience for this book. I thought maybe I would still get the same amount of enjoyment from this book as I do from NA romance books, but again I have discovered I don’t enjoy if I can relate as much. Overall this book is of good quality and readable but I never connected to the characters like I usually do. 3/5

Immediately after finishing the second book I needed to continue in this world and I don't regret it. I was great! April is so fun. I love the friendships and the topics of being moms and being strong and independent is so amazing. Even though they struggle, they push through and it's incredible to see.

I’d like to start by saying thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read this advanced copy. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I previously read and reviewed another ARC from the same ‘Mommy Wars’ series from this author, and this second book I read- did not disappoint! I loved the theme of family and wanting to do whatever you think is right for your family, even if it means not making yourself happy. I could literally feel the love April had for her kids while reading. April has recently been through a divorce and is still getting over what that did to her and her family when she meets the most unlikely person she should be falling for. Christina’s writing style makes it easy to get sucked into a story and want to know the outcome. While I loved the story line between the two main characters, April and Jack (where are the Jacks in real life, am I right?!), I enjoyed each and every one of April’s kids as characters the most. Kids say and do the darndest things is definitely a reoccurring theme in this story. Not only did I cry with joy and sadness throughout this book, I also found myself laughing out loud! Feeling all the feels while reading through a book is the mark of a good story for me. I would highly recommend this book to anyone! I couldn’t put it down, I finished this book in one sitting! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was perfect I loved it and I swear the author had an in on me and my friends because some of the things in the book had me saying oh that is so us. It is a definite must read because life is messy and we all need our girlfriends and to be happy.

Christina Hovland has a way of infusing charm and real talk into these stories. As a mom, I appreciated how she highlighted the perfect imperfection of motherhood. The big heart, and the shattered nerves, and the big messy love of it all.

I loved April's character arc in this story. I loved how her family held on tight and healed and soothed. I loved her circle of friends (maybe especially that scene-stealer Kitty). I loved how she found herself, her voice, and her purpose with the help of some good friends, some precocious kids, and sigh a really good man.

Oh, Jack. I find stories where the hero falls in love against his will completely irresistible. That Jack was out of his element and so clearly uncomfortable at times, and yet learning and growing and falling in love along the way? Yup, positively irresistible. I loved how he cared for April, how he gave her space to spread her wings, but remained a solid safe space for her to return. Their chemistry was spot on for me, and I enjoyed their love story so much!

I am completely charmed by the warmth and sweetness of these stories. This is my first series by Christina Hovland, but I'm definitely a fan and cannot wait for more!

Oh April, I just fell in love with her from the first scene but absolutely adored her as she grew into who she was. Jack came to help April get back on her feet, and I loved that the best way he was able to help her was to show her she didn't need to be constantly fixing problems all day.

April and Jack were adorable before they got together and after. My favorite scenes were when they were doing mundane things together, and watching them fall in love not over anything spectacular, but over the ordinary. April's insecurities both kept them together physically, but separated them romantically in many ways. The last 30% of this book was probably my favorite with all their friends and friends working together to help April realize who she is, who she always has been, but most importantly who she has become.

You know when life just keeps handing you lemons, things go wrong one after the other, thats how this novel kicks off. One mortifying event after another for our protagonist April, single mom of 3 dealing with her career and the aftershocks of her marriage failing because her husband cheated on her.
It looked very promising but honestly I just couldn't connect with the characters, the premise was sad but I couldn't feel sympathy for April, I just felt detached and indifferent.
Even Jack who frankly was the epitome of perfection didn't spark an interest. And then to make matters worse the instant longing that the main characters felt for each other just wasn't my cup of tea.
So after trying to power through I decided to dnf it.
