All I See Is You is a tense psychological thriller that explores the dark side of obsession, memory, and identity. The protagonist, M, is a publishing employee who suffers from panic attacks and memory lapses. She is also secretly infatuated with Caleb, a man who lives across the street from her. M believes that they have a special connection, even though Caleb is unaware of her existence. When M starts to practice memory recall exercises, she uncovers some shocking and disturbing truths about her past and her relationship with Caleb. Is M a harmless stalker or a dangerous predator? And what really happened to her on the night that changed everything?

Charlotte Barnes delivers a gripping and twisted story that keeps the reader guessing until the very end. The author skillfully portrays M's unreliable narration and psychological state, making the reader question what is real and what is imagined. The plot is fast-paced and full of suspense, with unexpected twists and turns. The characters are well-developed and complex, especially M, who is both sympathetic and unsettling. The writing style is clear and engaging, with vivid descriptions and realistic dialogue.

All I See Is You is a highly recommended read for fans of psychological thrillers that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is a debut novel that showcases Barnes's talent and creativity as a writer. If you enjoy books like The Girl on the Train, Gone Girl, or The Silent Patient, you will love All I See Is You.

A quick read that takes on turns. M is an interesting character and the narrator does a great job with her.
Thank you, Charlotte Barnes, Dreamscape & netgalley for my copy. All opinions are my own.

M has what looks like an ordinary life. She did well in school and now works as a graphic designer at a publishing firm. She is close with both her parents although they are divorced and has friends. But there are things that make M less ordinary. Since she was a girl, she has had blackouts. Her counselor says she should try to remember all the things she has blocked out but M senses there are pitfalls in her memories she doesn't want to deal with. M doesn't have a boyfriend except for Caleb. Caleb is the man who lives across from her apartment and M spends hours watching him and following his social media. She watches him with girlfriends and knows his schedule inside and out.

When Caleb goes missing, things start to crack. M starts to remember more about the things she has suppressed, the main one being a girl in her school class who was killed as they were all graduating. Her case has never been solved but M has flashbacks to the last night the classmates all spent together. She also suspects that Caleb's disappearance may have connections to her but who knows?

Charlotte Barnes has created a character in M that the reader will not soon forget. Should they be sympathetic to M and her issues or is she to be avoided at all costs? What is the price of M's attention? I listened to this novel and the narrator did a great job. She has the perfect accent to indicate someone of M's family background and gives the reader a sense of the slowing emerging pictures M needs to deal with. This book is recommended for psychological thriller readers.

I did not finish this book. I listened to 20% and put it aside. I love a good thriller, but I just couldn’t get into this one. I didn’t like the narration either. Sorry.

“If you didn’t remember doing something did you really do it at all?“ This is a story about obsession and how memories can shape reality. M is secretly seeing her neighbor. It’s so secret the neighbor doesn’t even know it. She is a voyeur and becomes obsessed with Caleb, her neighbor from across the street. M suffers from memory lapses. Significant parts of M’s life is a mystery. When Caleb suddenly goes missing, M is determined to unlock her lost memories to discover what happened to her latest obsession. What actually occurred on the night Caleb went missing? Should this Pandora’s box be opened, or should the unknown stay locked away forever? This story is creepy, disturbing and twisted. The narrator, Penelope Rawlins, expertly brings M to life in this unsettling, psychological thriller. Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for my audiobook.

This book is about M who has memory problems. Overall, the story takes us through her current day-to-day life, including what is going on with her Med management and Dr visits. She’s trying to remember more.

Unfortunately, this book fell flat for me. I liked the premise. Unreliable narrator, stalker, memory issues… what happens or what could go wrong? I really wanted to like it. I did like M’s account, but the overall story just didn’t give me satisfaction. So, this is a 3-star read for me. Too many loose ends, that I’d mention but they’d be spoilers. So, go read it and let me know if you agree!

This was one of those mystery novels that are just "okay". There was nothing special or new about this novel, but I did enjoy the ending. And, the writing style was great.

Our main character is M, short for Em (as though that needs to be shortened). I believe the name was to give her some sense of anonymity. M has serious memory problems and has blocked out a huge chunk of her past, including what happened to her best friend in high school. M is seeing a therapist and doing memory recall exercises and since the book is written in the first person, we are "remembering" as she does, in flashes and pieces. We experience her panic attacks as she remembers. As she remembers more and more, she realizes that she may not want to uncover the truth.

All the while, M's neighbor in a nearby apartment goes missing. M has a sort of "relationship" with this man, Caleb, and while M is trying to remember her past, she's also trying to figure out what happened to Caleb. There are essentially two mystery plotlines going at the same time.

I will say that this book is a testament to a parent's love for their child and what lengths they will go to to help their children.

This was a good book, just not a great one. Overall, 3 stars. As for the audio, the narrator was okay. She also narrated another book I just listened to, the Past is Red, and I liked her better in that book.

All I see is you is one of those stories that sucks you in from the beginning and keeps you there until the end. The twists and turns really kept me enthralled. The story itself is well put together in a way that you can't guess what is going to happen next. The plot switches back and forth from the past to the present throughout the story in a way to keep the suprises just that.

M is one of those characters that keeps you on your toes because you never know what she's thinking or what she will do next. Mix in her parents and coworkers and you have a great character dynamic for this story.

Overall I loved this story. It was intense at times and I did not see a lot of things coming. Exactly how I expect thrillers to be.

Narration review.
I wasn't sure about how the narrator made the main character voice at first. I really didn't like the voice used until I got more into the story. It started to fit the character as I got deeper into the story. It was also easy to tell between narratives because the narrator was very talented at doing different voices. I really enjoying this as an audiobook version in the end and I recommend it as a way to enjoy all I see is you.

I have to say, this one had SO much promise but fell on the execution. In the end, it really fell flat for me and will not remain a memorable one for me. This is one where I kept waiting for the climax and felt like it just plateaued and and then had a big anticlimax. The narration was done by Penelope Rawlins and she’s one of my favorites so I was quite excited for this listen. This mystery thriller was different than what I’m use to because I felt like it wasn’t very clear in what was happening. It was decidedly more mystery than thriller. It was so hard to figure out how it was supposed to fit together until it was all revealed, so it was hard for me to keep interested in this because I felt so confused by what I was even reading. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

M is a watcher. Some may even classify M as a stalker. Regardless - M is magnificent! This book was such a wonderful surprise! I loved all of the twists and turns. Fantastic suspense that I highly recommend!

Thank you to the Author, Publisher and NetGalley for an early audio of this book.

Wowza!

I found that this book is both haunting and very disturbing but, in a good way😏
I am not sure if I should feel sorry for M, be scared, or just feel creeped out?

M is extremely smart but awkward. People around her think she is a bit odd but, nobody knows the reality of it all. Not even M herself, as she has a condition that affects her memory.
She doesn't have much of social life, since she reserves her time for her hobby, and that would be being a proper peeping Tom-- but the girl version.

M has a great view from her high-rise apartment into her "front door" neighbor is Caleb's apartment. She feels she knows him better than anybody. She knows his routines, what he likes to eat, and when he eats it. She even knows when he hooks up with anyone.
For instance, she knows that every Tuesday a lovely female will walk through his door, and soon after Caleb and her will have sex.

Things are very intense for M as she navigates all the complexities of her life. The complications of her twisted family dynamics, a demanding job, and her therapy sessions are all getting to be too much for her.

But when Caleb, suddenly goes missing it is up to her to figure it out. All M has to do is remember.

Exactly what I want from a thriller-- suspense and mystery. Positively loved Penelope Rawlins as the narrator. As far as the story goes, it was new to me. I haven't read this storyline over and aver. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters , and loved M and her quirky personality. The story was told in such an entertaining manner I didn't pause to guess the ending. I found the ending satisfying and creepy.

This was a book about memory lost. I felt I also developed some memory lost listening to this book. To keep the suspense up, it became difficult to understand where the book was leading me to.

This story pulled me in at the start and had me second guessing my every thought all the way through. The narration of the audiobook is excellent and really added an extra layer for me. I found the story to be so cryptic that I really wasn’t sure which way this was story was going to move from one moment to the next, which I really loved. Keeping me on my toes with the twists also had me aching to get back to the story whenever I had to put it down for a bit. I really feel this is one of the best psychological thrillers I’ve read in a while!

This was a very interesting audiobook to listen to. The narrator has problems with memory and somehow seems to block out pretty much anything unpleasant. It’s a fascinating concept and her therapy sessions and memory recall exercises were very interesting. The narrator goes by M which is not their name or initial but what everyone at work calls her. M is kind of seeing someone but he doesn’t know it. Her window looks into his and she watches him with the girls he brings home. This story had a story creepy factor but I liked it. When the man M has been watching goes missing she becomes intent on recovering memories from her lost night - which happens to be the night he goes missing.

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review of this audiobook.. Fascinating review of one woman’s grappling with recollection of events It is a woman examining her life choices and grappling with the fact her memory is totally blank for one weekend. What an interesting hypothesis, can a woman be guilty of something she truly does not remember and how she struggles to remember. I.enjoyed the book very much and would recommend it to a friend if they want an interesting weekend read.

I have mixed emotions about this book. There were many bright spots and intriguing details, but there were just as many disjointed passages. At first I thought it had to do with the memory gap of the protagonist, but sadly there was just an ill formed flow in some places.

Such a great psychological thriller! M suffers from memory loss. She can lose minutes, hours, or entire days.

She's also a stalker who has a huge crush on her neighbor, Caleb. She's been having an illicit romance with Caleb for some time. Caleb just doesn't know it yet.

A lot goes on completely in M's mind. Even more goes on that she has no memory of.

When her doctor helps her begin to recover her lost memories, things will come to light that perhaps should remain hidden.

This is one of those psychological thrillers that spoon feeds the reader tiny bits of information throughout the novel. Every new thing you learn just leads to more questions. I thought the pacing was great. I never stopped wondering or thought I had it figured out. It kept me in suspense the whole way through.

I received this audiobook from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

M is sort of socially awkward, she doesn’t really know how to act in social situations and is uncomfortable so she watches people to pick up clues on how to react. She has gotten quite good at it over the years. She is a loner with only one true friend and no romantic partners. Her life consists of going to work and coming home and watching her neighbor across the street through his open windows. M also suffers from memory relapses- she works with a therapist to try to uncover those memories that she is getting bits and pieces of but also starts to realize that she is losing time now too.

Working through those repressed past memories with the help of her father, she realizes why she has also lost time currently. I really can’t say much else without giving away integral parts of the story.

I really enjoyed this book, M is relatable in an odd way and you find yourself rooting for her throughout the book. The narrator was brilliant and I enjoyed listening to her, she did a wonderful job reading with the right affect and nuances that really made you understand M. The ending left things open for a sequel and I really hope the author has plans for another story with M as the main character because I’d buy it in a second. Was a unique book that wasn’t so much a thriller or suspense story but more of a mystery. 4 solid stars.
