Kate and Peter were always a fun couple that could not be broken … until in the middle of the night Kate sees a scribbled note from Pete. He can’t handle the pressure of their perfect life and has met someone. He’s going away for a while so they can have time to process this.
Kate struggled with postpartum and the author painted a very relatable description. Kate felt alone, out of her depth, incompetent while trying to figure out motherhood. Meanwhile Peter presumed she would snap out of it. He began to take comfort with a receptionist named, Claire. Claire is everything Kate was before the children came and Peter sees a future with her.
Told from the viewpoints of Kate, Peter and Claire this was an immersive read. The first half was a little slow and in the middle it really took off. Unfortunately, the ending was somewhat flat. It really lost its punch and lacked originality.

Thank you Dreamscape Media & NetGalley for the chance to review the book. All opinions are my own.

This one was pretty much what I hoped it would be. The story was well-plotted and reasonably fast-paced, and it included different characters’ perspectives, which I enjoyed. I love a good semi-unreliable narrator; towards the end, I had definitely figured out the twist before it was revealed, but I also wasn’t disappointed with the conclusion. I think I’m a new fan of this author’s writing.

I listened the audio version of this title and the narrators did a fantastic job. Unfortunately the story just wasn't that good in my opinion. If you are looking for a family drama story then this is for you. I was looking for more suspense and on the edge of your seat moments. Sadly, it just didn't keep my attention.

I listened to the audio version of this book and the narrator was excellent. Unfortunately the book was missing most of the suspense and thriller portion, it felt like a domestic thriller but without the good parts. It’s a shame, the synopsis sounded so promising. I’m sure others will love this book but it was a miss for me.

I loved this book. The characters were believable, the writing was crisp, and the action and dialogue were realistic. It absolutely kept me guessing until the end. Both of the narrators were pleasant and had great intonation. I couldn’t stop listening!

At first, I just thought this was a case of a husband skipping out in his wife to live out his life with a young, pretty thing from the office. As I dive deeper into the story, I discovered that wasn’t the case after all. This book was a page turner that I couldn’t put down.

"Kate and Pete have been the perfect couple ever since they were teenagers. Fifteen years later they have two young daughters, live in a beautiful London townhouse and seem like they have it all. But one day, Pete leaves for work and never comes home. "
This book was well-narrated, but it was missing a key element of a psychological thriller - there was no psychological thriller is this book. It was a very slow going story that ended with a couple of plot holes that were hard to overlook. This was a miss for me.

I did not enjoy this book. It felt full of drama and not enough about suspense or story. I couldn’t connect with the characters and couldn’t fully get through this book.

I’m a huge domestic thriller fan and this book sounded right up my alley. It is very well-narrated. Once I dove in, though, I found this book was less of a murder mystery scary thriller (which I prefer) and more of a “who is my husband sleeping with?” type of domestic drama. Sometimes those can be fun if they’re fast-paced and suspenseful but this one had a more dramatic family-in-trouble sort of tone. If it were up to me, I’d market this book as more of a romance/drama rather than a psychological thriller, because I found myself disappointed with the level of thrills. As a book about a marriage falling apart, it is very well-written and well-narrated, but since I thought I was getting a thriller, I was disappointed with the slow pace and lack of crime and intrigue. There was a twist, but it isn’t the kind of twist you hope for in a true psychological thriller. It also takes quite awhile of slow and dramatic pacing to get there.
Overall a well-written dramatic effort by the author and nice narration, but just ultimately not the book or genre I was in the mood for from the blurb and cover. I think this book might find its audience better if marketed in a slightly different genre.

At first, I thought I had misread the genre classification for The Missing Husband. It seemed more of a “her side/his side” type story. But as the stories began to move closer and closer to alignment, the classification suddenly came into sharp focus. What an interesting and unique telling of the story.
With respect to the narration, Rupert Degas is the best male narrator I’ve ever had the fortune of listening to. His command of character representation using slight variations in tone and pattern are spot on. I’ve enjoyed listening to him in a number of other stories and was pleasantly pleased with this one. Likewise, Penelope Rawlins does a excellent job narrating her portion of the book. Together they brought the story to life and created a total immersion feeling that served the characters well.
Natasha Boydell wrote a captivating story with well-developed characters who left you liking, disliking, and hating them. The ending felt a bit abrupt, but I have no idea how else it should have ended. The irony woven into it was perfect. Well done!

Thank you to NetGalley and Natasha Boydell for this Audio-ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Kate and Pete have been together since school. They have 2 beautiful daughters. Pete works a great job and Kate has been a homemaker since their first child was born. They seem to have it all in London. Beautiful children, beautiful home, beautiful marriage. But is it really all it seems to be?
I really like how the narratives change between Kate and Pete as well as timelines. This story gripped me from the beginning. I'm really happy I got this as an audio book because the narrator had me hooked! I listened to this in 2 days it was that good. While yes I did figure out the plot twist before it was revealed it was still a great and entertaining read. I would absolutely recommend this to any lover of thriller books!

I received this audiobook from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. I started the book and was enjoying the narrator and starting to really get into the storyline, but I was unable to finish because the amount of obscenities became too disturbing for me to listen to.

Kate and Pete have been married for almost two decades and life has become mundane. Pete seeks out the love and affection he needs outside of the marriage, deciding to run off to France with his receptionist. For about half of the book, there is a retelling of their past and current relationship. You start to think Pete is quite a jerk and Kate is resilient in rebuilding her life. With a third of the book left, you are hit with quite the twist! I would give this 3.5 stars, rounded down. This is because the first half of the book, while extremely well-written, just wasn't that exciting; however, the author made up for it in the end. I was given this audiobook by Netgalley in return for an honest review. Also, the narrator was fabulous!

The Missing Husband by Natasha Boydell
Kate and Pete have been the perfect couple since they were teenagers!
After fifteen years, they have two beautiful girls, a lovely townhouse in London and seem to have it all!
On what seems to be an ordinary morning, Pete leaves for work and never returns!
Kate finds a note in which he confuses he’s not happy and needs space and time to think. And to top it off he’s found someone else, who makes him very happy?
Pete left his cell phone behind and deleted all his social media accounts.
What happened to Pete?
I enjoyed listening to this book! I love the the changing perspectives. I obviously disliked Pete and his cheating ways. So I was on Kate’s side. I didn’t completely see where this one was going and enjoyed it!! Great story! My attention was held the entire book!
I also really enjoyed the narrators!!
Thank you Natasha Boydell, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audio to listen to this book in return for my honest review!

You know.. i wasnt sure what to think about it. It took a while to really get into it because i find that it was just two view points that were not going anywhere. But then the 90% mark hit and i did not see that coming. It was good.
I felt very close the Kate as i went thru some similar things and her husband is a jack ^%$ for not supporting her.
Good book.
Thanks Netgalley for this ARC.

Really fun, few good twists, great summer reading

Kate was the girl of his dreams so he did what he was supposed to do, he proposed. After many years and two beautiful daughters, Kate was not even the shadow of the girl he loved.
One morning, Pete left for work as any other day but he never came back. The longer Pete is gone, the more Kate discovers herself although hard after also discovering all of her husband’s secrets.
This was a good story, I could relate to Kate and her struggle to find herself while being a mother and a wife, a homemaker and a professional. I despite Pete, his lack of empathy, his selfishness. The story line was a bit predictable, but it was well written, with great flow. I really enjoyed it!

Pete and Kate at “that” couple. The ones who have instant chemistry from the onset and are the couple everyone wants to be. Looks can be deceiving. Wow, can they ever. Under the picture perfect facade things are not at they seem and Kate is gobsmacked when she discovers Pete is having an affair and leaving her and their 2 little girls for another woman. Pete is a pathetic man with no moral compass and no spine. It’s one thing to leave your wife. It’s a whole other thing to abandon your children with nary a word. In other words, Pete was a pathetic excuse of a human being. Kate is furious and hasn’t decided what to do about it. And as Pete goes missing Kate is left questioning everything about their relationship, their history, and where it all went so wrong. She tries to find him, but is also left to forge forward for their girls. Most of the book is about how miserable Pete is and the justification of his affair and abandonment, which does become redundant, but it is a good and surprising whodunit. It was an enjoyable listen. Creepy, but enjoyable.

This book started off a tad slow, however it picked up nicely. When the POV changed to the second woman, I thought the story was taking a big turn. But then another surprise came and everything I thought was wrong! This was perfectly mysterious.
