My Pet Cloud is a wonderful, imaginative book! A boy named Max adopts a cloud and weather-related antics ensue. The story is really fun and sometimes educational. I lived the illustrations. Young kids will love this one!

Thank you Capstone and NetGalley for providing this ARC.

This cute story will make every reader wish they had a pet cloud of their own. Max wants a pet but his Mother doesn’t want anything loud or hairy. One day Max finds Fluffy and he quickly realizes a cloud is the best pet of all. The illustrations are wonderful and the story shows the reader about the importance of being a compassionate pet owner. There is a lot of fun information about clouds and would be a great introduction for anyone wanting to learn a bit more about the science behind them.

Special thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I adored everything about this book and my my the very ending` was super original and cute! This book left me wanting stories from each cloud and I look forward to adopting my own one day. Great book to have in the classroom and even better for an art lesson plan or for at home.

This was such a neat concept of a story. It took the classic child gets first pet but tweaked it just enough to keep it fresh, cute, and with some cool cloud facts. I loved the illustrations and the story was simply adorable. The ending where there were other clouds for adoption was genius! Cute for libraries and story times and would work well with future summer reading programs.

It's fluffy. It's sad. It's cute. It's informative!

I find the concept quite fascinating for a storybook.

I love clouds. And I do love pets.

The story focuses on the unexpected events that would follow after adopting a pet. It teaches how to take responsibility.

Love the illustrations so much!

Such a precious book.

Thank you author/artist and the publisher for the advance reading copy.

Thanks to Netgalley and Capstone for a free digital copy.

Creative, cute, and oh so re-readable. A cloud as a pet? But of course! It teaches about friendship, responsibility, and solving problems all with a big dose of humor.

A cute story about the joys and responsibilities of having a cloud as a pet. Easy language, perfect length for my 3-year-old, beautiful illustration. When I finished reading this to my daughter, all she said was "More, more, more!"
I have a feeling that this is going to be a book we'll be reading again and again and again...

Thanks NetGalley and Capstone for this Advance Reading Copy.

This book is adorable! I love my dog, but after reading this book, a cloud pet sounds super fun—although, as this book teaches us, taking care of a cloud is not easy! The cloud might shed or blow away in the wind! I also like how the book teachers you the basics of the water cycle and cloud types, something I desperately needed a refresher on.

The illustrations are adorable! I will definitely purchase this book for my younger family members.

Thank you, Amanda Rawson Hill and NetGalley!

Max is an only child who wants a pet. When his mother says no he decides to adopt a cloud he names Fluffy. Colorfully illustrated it show Max accepting the challenges and responsibilities of caring for a pet. There is a little extra of a science lesson as you learn about a few cloud types. Easy to read and understand. I could easily read to younger readers in my school. Recommend for pre K- 2nd. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an temporary ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this book! The illustrations were wonderful, the actual text used was so easy to read, and the story was unique and fun. I actually laughed at loud at many parts. I could see this book becoming very popular with the toddler/early school age population. I, myself, plan to share it with my own toddler who I have no doubt will adore it.

Turns out taking care of a cloud for a pet is a little trickier than you’d expect!

This is an adorable story that not only makes you smile, but also provides a quick science lesson about clouds which is perfect for little scientists just starting out!

I one hundred percent can see this book being read in early childhood classrooms and even Kindergarten rooms!

So this story is really cute. I like the idea that there is science involved with how clouds are formed and the different weather patterns that can effect it. It does get sad when Fluffy gets blown away and potentially passes away because that is the flow of nature. BUT childrens books usually have happy endings and this one does! Fluffy returns to Max and they are the best of friends!

At the end of the book there is a portion where there are "adoptable" clouds with the different variations of cloud formations and little bios about them! When my daughter and I went through them she picked Fluffy because she has a rainbow! I would buy this book when it releases

It is an amazing way to teach children about clouds. I would totally buy this for myself or my cousin. It is colorful, sweet and educating (but not didactic!).

So we read four great picture books from NetGalley today, and this was unanimously our favorite. The story follows a boy who decides to adopt a cloud as a pet, but realizes there's a lot to know about taking care of a pet (even a cloud!). The clever story concept perfectly showed the responsibility of having a pet, the illustrations were adorable, and I loved the cloud science knowledge sprinkled throughout. A fantastic story for ages 3-7, and my 3yo and 5yo both said they liked it a whole lot. Highly recommend!

Thanks so much to the publisher and NetGalley for the free ARC!

What do you do when you want to adopt a pet but your mom claims to be allergic to everything? You adopt a pet cloud!

This was so cute! It showed problems like getting your cloud house trained, or that it might be blown away by wind, and sneaked in were some informations about different types of clouds and the circle of water, so young readers will even wind up learning something.

The illustrations match the story nicely, and all in all, this makes me want to adopt a cloud.
My rent contract doesn't forbid it. Ha!

The arc was provided by the publisher.

I thought that this was a great little book!

The book is a really fun read and also informative and a great way to learn about clouds, without really realising that you are learning!

I liked the way that it also coved the responsibilities of having a pet too and it did genuinely make me smile in places as a mum reading it.

I loved the illustrations used, they really brought the story, and Fluffy to life.

It is 5 stars from me for this one – very highly recommended!

Kids are going to love this book. The illustrations are really cute and it's got a great theme of taking responsibility for your pets (which is hard!) mixed with a fun STEM lesson as author Amanda Rawson Hill gives information about clouds. The adoption cards at the end were great too. Highly recommend.

Thank you to Capstone and NetGalley for making this copy available for review.
