What do you do when you want to adopt a pet but your mom claims to be allergic to everything? You adopt a pet cloud!

This was so cute! It showed problems like getting your cloud house trained, or that it might be blown away by wind, and sneaked in were some informations about different types of clouds and the circle of water, so young readers will even wind up learning something.

The illustrations match the story nicely, and all in all, this makes me want to adopt a cloud.
My rent contract doesn't forbid it. Ha!

This was such a cute book! I love the adoption profiles of the different clouds, they were hilarious. I think kids will really enjoy reading this book as it is fun, silly, and entertaining.

I thought that this was a great little book!

The book is a really fun read and also informative and a great way to learn about clouds, without really realising that you are learning!

I liked the way that it also coved the responsibilities of having a pet too and it did genuinely make me smile in places as a mum reading it.

I loved the illustrations used, they really brought the story, and Fluffy to life.

It is 5 stars from me for this one – very highly recommended!

Kids are going to love this book. The illustrations are really cute and it's got a great theme of taking responsibility for your pets (which is hard!) mixed with a fun STEM lesson as author Amanda Rawson Hill gives information about clouds. The adoption cards at the end were great too. Highly recommend.

Thank you to Capstone and NetGalley for making this copy available for review.

The illustrations are adorable. A bit of science mixed in with the responsibility of caring for a pet and a simple, cute story line. Particularly liked the adoption cards at the end with the different types of clouds.

This was super cute! It was a little silly, but very sweet. I think it would be a fun book to read with young children and I was pleasantly surprised by the educational aspect with the different types of clouds. The profiles on adoptable clouds at the end was very cute as well!

This is an adorable book about a little boy who can’t have an animal pet, so he gets a cloud as a pet! It’s educational about the different types of clouds. The pictures are great too!

This book was extremely adorable. I read this with my three year old and now she wants to adopt a cloud as a pet. Hahaha! The illustrations are very well done. The story line was easy to follow and kept my child interested. I love that it included some educational aspects too in a fun way - getting to know about different types of clouds, even I as an adult learned something today from this book! Creative, fun, and overall a great children’s book, definitely one I would buy in the future!

My pet cloud is a cute book about boy who can’t have a pet but adopts a cloud. This is a lovely book for children to learn about clouds and loooking after something. The illustrations are really good and colourful.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book.

This is an adorable and humorous story about a boy who adopts a cloud and keeps it as a pet. Understandably, clouds do not make the best pets and the results are funny. This book has a surprising amount of information about different kinds of clouds and the water cycle. The illustrations are very beautiful, the best thing about the book. This would be best for elementary aged children, but my 3-year-old also enjoyed it. Five stars for being informative, fun, and beautifully illustrated.

My Pet Cloud is a cute book about Max who finds a stray cloud and adopts it as his pet. Since his mom says no to have regular pets due to her allergies, Max delights in having Fluffy, the cloud, as his new pet.
However, taking care of a cloud is not easy, and Max learns it the hard way. He then decides to learn how to care for Fluffy, and soon, his mom realizes how good it is to have a cloud at home.
But a sudden thunderstorm separates them, and Max is sad again. No amount of searching across the lands helps them. Will Max ever find Fluffy again?
Since it’s a kiddo book, you can easily guess what happens at the end. The storyline is interesting, and so is the presentation. The illustrations looked soft but slightly dull to me. While the expressions and moods were perfect, the overall color scheme wasn’t vibrant as I thought. The illustrations are on the same lines as the cover picture.
The best part of the book is those cute adoption cards for different types of clouds. It’s a great way to teach kids about clouds.
Thank you, NetGalley and Capstone Editions, for the ARC.

As a preschool teacher, I'd say this book will definitely catch young children's attention. I was amazed at how this book made learning Science so much fun! Max and Fluffy are both adorable and their friendship is admirable! The story is very insightful and it contains details about clouds, kinds of weather, and even water cycle without making the discussion boring! How great is that? The illustrations are also aesthetically pleasing!

Personally, I love children's books that entail a lot of topics for classroom discussion. Luckily, My Pet Cloud is one of those books! It contains just the right amount of integration––pets, friendship, clouds, kinds of weather, water cycle, four seasons, etc. Overall, this is a wonderful book that I think both teachers and students will love!

Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. This is the story of a boy and his pet. My 7 and 5 year old loved this heart warming take on a boy and his pet, only it’s not what you think. We have read the story every night this week. This one is a must read for bedtime or for teachers everywhere. The illustrations were spot on! Love this one!

This was such a cute read for both myself and my son! I definitely plan on getting the physical book copy to read again with my son. The illustrations were adorable and kept my sons attention, and the story was very cute! Every kid needs a “fluffy!”

Well, you might think there is nothing new under the sun, but this is – Fluffy the Cloud and the story of his adoption as a pet by young Max. OK, at times it does become a little less of a story, but that's because the book also gives a primer in cloud science, the water cycle and the different kinds of cloud. Some of that is really nicely introduced, too, not forced into the story through foul means. There's also great comedy, with Fluffy looking exactly like a dog messing the lounge carpet when he lets out a little lightning by mistake. It all means this is a lot less nonsensical than you might have imagined, and well worth a strong four stars.

This was such a fun children's story about friendship, while also including a bit of education about clouds and the water cycle. Beautiful illustrations as well! Would suit K-1 for a read aloud or 2-3 for a read to self. A fun read to add to your classroom or home library!

My Pet Cloud tells the story of Max, a young boy who desperately wants a pet of his own. When his mom says no, he decides to “adopt” the stray cloud that he finds at the park. Max soon discovers that taking care of a pet cloud is more work than he could have imagined.

In addition to being adorable, this book is also very informative about the weather and types of clouds as well. Fluffy may be Max’s pet, but he’s still a cloud first and Max learns all of what clouds can do while he is taking care of Fluffy. I loved all of the funny moments between Max and Fluffy - I actually chuckled to myself when Fluffy decides to earn his keep with the sno-cone stand. There is a lot of heart in this short book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a review.
