I received an ARC of this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Sarah Andersen has done it again! The comics are so heartwarming and the ones regarding the time during the pandemic are relatable and funny. One day maybe we will be handing these to our children when they ask "What was the pandemic like?" rather than reliving the entire thing. It will be good to show them we laughed through our tears. Just kidding (kind of). As always, will be recommending this one to everyone.

Oddball is a short graphic novel that shows the reader just some of the eccentricities that happen in the lives of others. From day to day scenarios to the absurd, Sarah finds the funny truth to it all.
Andersen also manages to capture the truth and make it funny, even if it is awkward or a harsh truth.
Though I have been aware of Andersen's work for years this is the first book I have read cover to cover. It is not at all surprising to find that I loved this book. Some of Andersen's previous works have found themselves being made into meme's and I had loved those so it;s only natural I love the original works.
I chucked my way through this book on what was not a great day. It made it so much easier to forget the stressful day I had and I was glad I read it just before bed. I went to the land of nod with a smile.
Sarah's Scribbles is always amusing. I have the previous books. All of them.
Although I do not get some panels but I love reading this one as well. I can relate to most of the pages especially when she took her cat as the main role. Now I know why witches always have black cats.
I saw Khaby Lame! She does not draw him, but her hand gesture showed his shadow. XD
I also like Medusa's panels. It is adorable. I'd love to see her more in the next installment.
Long Live the Procrastinator!
I could not get this to download on either a phone or laptop. I do really like Sarah's illustrations and really wish I could have read this one. I'll have to check it out once it is published!
Thank you to Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I love Sarah Anderson's humor and Oddball doesn't disappoint! It's a selection of more recent comics, which are very funny, and very relatable if you are an introvert, tend to procrastinate or hyperfixate on new hobbies and things. The layout is one comic per page, very easy to read. They'll surely brighten your day!

I was lucky to read an ARC of this newest book from Sarah Andersen.
And this one does it . . . from now on her books will be AUTOMATIC TBR for me . . .
I found myself SEEN and laughing out loud pretty much on every other page . . . and maybe a little called out too . . .
and then there're cats . . . and not just 1 or 2 :)
I had read 'Adulthood is a myth' previously, which I enjoyed, but reading 'Oddball' made me follow Sarah on IG and put all her other books on my 'want to read' list
THANK YOU for the opportunity of previewing this book. I can't wait for it to come out, to have a copy to r-read again and again as an instant mood booster . . . did I mention the CATS?!?! :)
Honest to God I don't know how anyone cannot love this author and her works. Her sketches are simple, yet so effective in representing what she's saying and she has a lot to say.(and a great way) She's so funny, but also somehow poignant. Well spoken while using very few words. If you love Ali brosh you will absolutely love this author and all of her previous works as well.
I would absolutely buy this book and use it every time I need a laugh. I would print off copies of the pages and post them on my bathroom mirror to have a laugh every morning. I would also buy this for other people who love to laugh. And especially if they love cats. 😂 I have read all of her books, and they never disappoint. She makes you feel like you're not alone being the oddball in the world.
Thank you# netgalley and Sarah Anderson for allowing me to read this great book in exchange for an honest review.
as always, I am fan of Sarah Andersen and have almost read all of her books, Her comics are fun and relatable. I love her drawing style especially the expressions as they are simply hilarious! These comics were no different. Life of an oddball aka introvert and how the world around us consider different and weird. I admire her take on introversion and these super amazing comics! thanks natgalley for providing me the ebook for honest opinion and review
I really love the simplicity of the illustrations and humor of the author. It's very relatable, it's like a book full of memes. 😂 This graphic novel can uplift your mood!
E-arc from Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing in exchange for an honest review.
Just like all of Sarah Andersen's books, it was brilliant. The amount of relatable content made me question why I don't choose to be myself more often. The book didn't just make me laugh and want to tell everyone about it. It also made me examine how I see myself as a creative person and an artist. It encouraged me to be weird even if no one else understands it. The other wonderful thing about this book is that you can finish it in one sitting. I highly recommend to anyone in need of a laugh and a cat-loving ear.
I'm familiar with Sarah Andersen's comics from Instagram and have always found them extremely relatable as an introvert and awkward person. I'm so glad her comics are compiled in one place because it was so fun to read through the book in one shot. It is full of laughs and relatable, meme-able comics. I'm convinced anyone over 10 years old could relate to her comics.
"The newest Sarah's Scribbles collection from New York Times bestselling author and Goodreads Choice award winner Sarah Andersen.
The fourth book in the enormously popular graphic novel series, the latest collection of Sarah's Scribbles comics explores the evils of procrastination, the trials of the creative process, the cuteness of kittens, and the beauty of not caring about your appearance as much as you did when you were younger. When it comes to humorous illustrations of the awkwardness and hilarity of millennial life, Sarah's Scribbles is without peer."
I love Sarah Scribbles so much that yes, I did help her win that Goodreads Choice award. There was no competition!
Classic Sarah Anderson fun! Oddballl is so relatable and keeps me smiling throughout the whole book.
I love the way Sarah interprets life through her art. You can count on her to just be real. You can also count on her being incredibly quirky about life and manic about kittens! Her sense of humor definitely shines in Oddball. If you've read any of her other books, you'll like this one. If you haven't, what are you waiting for?
I would like to thank netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for a free copy of the book in exchange for an review.
Delightful as always.
This is the fourth Sarah's Scribbles book by Sarah Anderson. I had previously read the first book, Adulthood Is a Myth, and enjoyed it so I thought I'd give this a read. While I haven't read books 2 and 3, since they are all collections of standalone comics this book can be read if you haven't read any of the other books in the series.
I found some of the comics really relatable, especially all of the ones about being a cat owner. All of the cat related ones were especially funny to me.
The comics are simple and fun, and I definitely want to go back and read the second and third installments in the series.
rating: 3.5/5
Oddball is another volume of Sarah's Scribbles comic strips in book form. Like the other 3 volumes, this one features comics about cats, introversion, witches, cats as created by the devil, women's clothing, cats as dangerous traps and the differences in perspective of generations. Sarah got really into frogs during the writing of these strips.
A short, but nice and amusing read, if anything I'm disappointed not to know what the sticker set included.
Gracias Netgalley por el envío de una copia avanzada del libro a cambio de una reseña honesta.
Sarah Andersen nunca me decepciona. Con esta entrega confirmé nuevamente por qué amo sus comics. Y es que son tan frescos y llenos de escenas cotidianas con las que me siento muy identificada. ¡Ideal para pasar el rato y despejar la mente!
Classic Sarah's Scribbles with loads of social commentary, bringing out the silliness of our human interactions, whether it's dealing with anxiety, existential spirals, overthinking, or fandom/meme culture. Having enjoyed her previous collections, I think this may be my favorite. Sarah has a talent for simplifying these moments to put a comical POV on blast. I had to laugh at myself along the way because I've been in similar situations, but it's so nice to know I'm not alone. Sharp and humorous observations in Sarah's classic simple illustration style.
