Gotta love that marriage of convenience trope. Despite their start, Oliver and Madeline draw closer together, especially once he realizes she has a target on her back. Nothing brings two lovers in a romance novel together quite like the mMC's need to protect what's his...

This is a thoroughly enjoyable story with a very satisfying ending. Once again Mrs. Dove-Lyon has brought together two people who are just what the other needs. Having an ex betrothed marry your sister while ruining you, and having her and her new husband try to keep ruining you is hard. But having a husband who treats you with kindness and respect is all Madeline needs to be happier than she ever was. And makes for a grest storyline.

Tamed by the Lyon, by Chasity Bowlin. I liked everything about this book. First it was a short read. Second the romance was somewhat of a heated romance. I thought the characters, Madeline and Oliver were very charming.
The building to their love scene was very slow, but the writer did a wonderful job of dropping scenes of intimate touches or stolen kisses here and there. The background to the story between Madeline and her sister was awesome. I kept saying, every dog has their day and Caroline’s was coming soon. These scenes definitely added to the excitement and entertainment of the book. This is an awesome read to cozy up to.

Another fun book in the Lyon's Club Saga.. I adore these stories. They are full of witty, brave, daring, and slightly scandalous characters and the stories flow smoothly from cover to cover.

I highly recommend these stories in The Lyon's Club world, its a great way to find new amazing authors to enjoy!!

A delightful next instalment of the matchmaker series specialising in difficult prospects, set in a gambling den.

Miss Madeline Keyes is in a bit of a fix - her reprehensible groom jilted her very publicly at the altar in favour of her younger sister, who is a bit of a jealous and grasping witch. Having to endure the scandal is bad enough, but her very unsympathetic parents are urging her to retire to their country seat. In a bid to escape them she seeks the help of Mrs Dove-Lyon to find her a titled husband.

She is matched with Oliver Easton, Earl of Foxmore, who has taken his recently deceased brother's place at the Den in order to pay the death taxes levied on his estate - he wants to continue his work as a plantsman, and does what he need to to secure his fortunes.

As always Bessie Dove-Lyon makes the perfect match, once Oliver sees how Madeline is treated by her sister Coraline, her entitled ex-fiancé and her feckless parents, he rises to the occasion and defends her strongly, Madeline couldn't help but fall for her stalwart defender. Her moments of innocence and the interactions with her maid made me smile. Lovely story with a fab hero.

Recommended.

Jilted at the altar by her unscrupulous fiancé, Madeline Keyes takes the only recourse open to her and makes contact with the notorious Black Widow of Whitehall. Mrs. Dove-Lyon has the uncanny knack of putting together perfect matches and in introducing Madeline to Oliver, the Earl of Foxmore, she once again achieves the impossible. However, their marriage is not without hurdles to be overcome when Oliver discovers that his in-laws have their knives out for his charming wife! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mrs. Dove-Lyon is again victorious when bringing together an abandoned bride mired in scandal and a younger son never meant to inherit. Although not my favorite in the series, all of the Lyon books have been well-written and enjoyable to read.
Thank you Chasity Bowlin, Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.

Awww, what a heartbreaking but sweet book at the same time. Poor Madeline she has such a horrid family! She is jilted by her ex whom married her disgusting sister, so she procures the help of Mrs. Bessie Dove-Lyon to get her wed, since now she is the object of scorn from the ton. Now the Lord of Foxmore, Oliver is also in need of help from Mrs. Bessie since he is left with debt from his both his brother and his fathers deaths and he needs a marriage that will come with a dowry that will help him. A marriage of convenience which will lead to so much more for both of them.

This was a cute marriage of convenience turned true love Regency romance novel. It's about a ruined heiress trying to save her reputation by marrying well and a fortune hunting lord trying to save his newly inherited estate. Since, she needs a man to stand by her and he needs cash to pay death/inheritance taxes, they are set up by a matchmaker and decide to get married.

Overall, it was a very sweet story about falling in love, standing up to narcissistic and enabling family members, and setting the record straight. It was a cute but short novel that I really enjoyed.

This little romance was a cute. This story opens with jilted bride, Madeline, doing what she can to salvage her reputation and a standing in society through an underground marriage broker. In the most Regency way, Madeline agrees to marry Oliver, an Earl who has spent most of his life being a second son and out of money. The relationship that unfolds is sugary sweet and adorable. The conflict is familial and nonviolent. In truth, this is a good PG step into the Regency Romance genre.

With family like hers, you don't need enemies, folks. Yeah, that's what went through my mind while learning of the past and present circumstances Madeline, the heroine, has been forced to endure all because of her crazy relatives. The tide for her thankfully turns due to an arranged marriage made in unusual circumstances but for beneficial reasons for both the bride and groom. This is a common theme, of course, in this numerous, multiple book series scripted by several, various authors.

Lord Oliver Easton, Earl of Foxmore, sure played his part well as the dashing, handsome, soon very protective of his new Countess hero. With prim and proper Regency manners, dress, and language, things still slowly but surely briefly get smexy between these perfect for each other love birds.

Having read several, but not all the books in the series, I must say I enjoyed seeing the matchmaker at this gaming hall portrayed as kind and caring, yet sassy enough she takes this job very seriously.

If you like the accurate, well written synopsis, you might want to check into this quick read, romantic tale.

This was a quick, fairly sweet read with minimal drama or angst. The romance was missing that spark for me, so I felt a little meh when reading the story. The story was well-written and I usually enjoy Ms. Bowlin’s books, but this was missing that something that makes a book great and hard to put down. That said, if you’re looking for a cute, low-drama read with an HEA, this might be for you.

Lord Oliver Easton has been thrown into the frying pan by a death and Madeline Keyes was thrown into the lions den of the ton by her sister. Both need something the other is willing to give.
Very similar to the other books in this series but yet made unique by this author. However, the beginning was quite similar to another book, where the heroines sister took the fiancé on the wedding day. I kept wondering if I had read this book before. But it did distinguish itself about half through as an original. After I got over the dejavu I enjoyed reading. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is another Lyon's Den story with Mrs. Dove-Lyon helping Madeline find a husband after being left at the altar. Mrs. Dove-Lyon also knows Lord Oliver Easton, Earl of Foxmore, is in desperate need of funds to help his estate after the deaths of his father and brother.
I loved the way Chasity Bowlin built the relationship between Oliver and Madeline. The two of them quickly became a team together.
If ever there was a character in a story you just wanted to _______(I will let you fill in the blank), Madeline's young sister, Coraline, would get my vote. I feel like Coraline and Madeline's ex-groom were made for each other. Both were selfish and thinking only of themselves. Congratulations Chasity on writing characters that get reactions from your readers.

Madeline gets left at the altar with her horrible sister denouncing her and nabbing Madeline's fiancee for herself. Madeline takes herself off to the Lyon to meet Mrs Dove who finds her a delicious botanist come impoverished Earl. Madeline brings with her the legacy from her grandparent and Oliver brings his empathy and eventual Love. Good read.

Madeline Keyes was spurned at the alter when her groom decided he wanted her younger sister, now a subject of scorn, pity and shame she sets out to find her own groom. She approaches Mrs. Bessie Lyon the Matchmaker. Lord Oliver Easton, Earl of Foxmore has unexpectedly inherited a bankrupt estate and the taxes need to be paid and he plans on getting a wife quickly at the Lyon’s Den. A captivating story of a young woman who decides to take her life into her own hands, away from her family and a new Earl who has no family left and never expected to marry finds his new wife he’s quite attracted too. I have voluntarily read and reviewed the excellent book.

Unexpected Love

Jilted at the altar, and ruined by her sister, Madeline sought help from Mrs. Dove-Lyon to find a husband. Oliver’s father and brother died, leaving him in need of a wife to help him to restore his fortune. He, too sought Mrs. Dove-Lyon to find him a wife. Many have trusted the Black Widow of Whitehall with this task. Would she get it right this time?

Madeline and Oliver thought to get a convenient marriage, but they got much more. There might be challenging times ahead, but no one said that the path to love was easy. I enjoyed this story and found both Madeline and Oliver likable. I especially enjoyed that Oliver stood by Madeline from the very beginning against her sister and other family members who did not do right by her.

A viper for a little sister who will doing anything to take what her older sister, Madeline wants or has, even going as far as stealing her husband-to-be at the alter. With the help of The Black Widow of Whitehall, Mrs Dove-Lyon, who helps those who are in need of finding a husband helps match Madeline with Lord Oliver Easton. A marriage of convenience soon escalates to so much more in Tamed by the Lyon. Chasity Bowlin weaves a story from beginning to end with threads of remarkable emotions, characters that come off the pages and pull you into their emotional ride that keeps you involved until the very end, sizzling passion, enjoyable plot that brings this read together perfectly!

This book is similar to the others, but different at the same time. Two similar souls, her plain Jane left at the alter and he loves his plants. Strange couple who make their way to each other. HEA.

It did not take me long to know I wanted to strangle the heroine's sister Caraline.. oh and the rest of her family too!! Fortunately it was fortuitous that her sister stole ended up marrying Madeline's groom instead of her, the sniveling idiot! (sorry I just had to get that off my chest!)

Oliver had just inherited the earldom and needed a quick infusion of cash. Oh and get married. How was he to do that so quickly?

Luckily for them both, Mrs Dove-Lyons would have it all in hand. Well for a fee of course! As she brings these two together, what will happen?

Another exciting story in this amazing series, that keeps building with each great addition!
