This is my first read by Mandy Byatt and I really enjoyed this novel.

We meet the main three characters, Petra, Anna and Denise, three women who are alone but do want to find love. They all go about online dating, which is so relevant to in todays' world, and they all meet the seemingly perfect David. All completely besotted by him, that is until he mysteriously disappears and the three women find each other and try and work out who David really is.

I found this novel to be fast-paced and definitely a great read. I loved the characters, how natural and flawed they were and I did feel that many women could relate to all three of them.

I will be keeping an eye out for more of Mandy Byatts books.

Thanks to NetGalley, Mandy Byatt and the publishers for allowing me to have an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Just Another Liar is based on a fascinating premise: three women meet ‘Mr Right’ online, but he is not who he says he is. Who really is David? And, more importantly, what does he want?

The main characters are fantastically drawn, with complex and messy lives that make them easy to empathise with.

I thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced story; it was full of twists and turns that kept me guessing right to the end. I can’t wait to see what Mandy comes up with next.

I just could not get into this book. Must be my fault ,I chose it, but it wasn't a book that was memorable for me .sorry.

I’m sorry, I really am. I don’t like giving negative reviews but I didn’t enjoy this book one bit. I hadn’t read much of it before I thought ‘This is ridiculous’, and I’m afraid to say that thought stayed with me right to the end. None of it made the slightest bit of sense, and some of it made me cringe. Who’s Netty anyway? She suddenly pops up sitting on the edge of a bed, and unless I’ve missed something we never find out anything else about her. The disabled ‘Mother’ says to Denise ‘Now a cup of tea would be lovely if you can be bothered to move your fat arse. I’m parched.’ Come on, what sort of adult daughter would put up with that? I ended up feeling anger towards many of the characters in the book, and by the end I’d almost lost the will to live. Again, I’m sorry, but I thought this was a very, very silly story and the only reason I’ve given two stars and not one is that the writing could have been a lot worse.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC.

This was a very thrilling ride. The end was very unexpected. There were a few uncomfortable scenes but it just shows how vivid the author Mandy Byatt wrote it. I definitely recommend reading. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Everybody knows some couple that met online. Online dating is so relevant. It’s not always happiness and roses! Check out this new thriller on online dating. Three women, multiple prospectives. Interesting and quick thriller.

I started off really enjoying Just Another Liar. Three women falling for the same mysterious man, none of whom have met him in person? Sign me up. There were rotating POVs, lies, secrets, and action, but the farther along I got into the book; the more confused I got. There is a mystery POV sprinkled throughout the book, and although we eventually find out who it is, I didn't see the point in it being there, especially when the person's involvement was minimal in the end. The three women also just ended up being self-centered and annoying, and I don't understand why the story ended the way that it did. Just Another Liar had a ton of potential, but it just didn't work for me.

Content warning for death, attempted rape, abuse.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for the ARC of Just Another Liar by Mandy Byatt.

I’ve been excited about this book since the All about Avon showcase and definitely haven’t been disappointed. This is a book that I have devoured after being completely pulled into the pages of this one.

Byatt has pulled me in from very early on in this book and I have found it impossible to predict where this one was going. This is a book that has consumed me until I have devoured that very last page.

I have been left wanting more from this author, I cannot believe that this is a debut book. This is a high quality read and I am gutted that I cannot add many other books to the TBR. I will definitely be watching out for them.

Byatt writes in a way, you feel as though you are with the characters and watching the events play out in front of you. I couldn’t predict who was guilty in this one. Every character at one point or another has made me suspicious, I have loved every minute of this book.

This is a top quality read which I have no doubt will be an Avon bestseller of 2022. This is a truly fantastic read and one deserving of all the stars.

This was an interesting thriller. It concerned a subject that is relevant today with the online dating. You never know if someone could be lying to you. It started a bit slow for me but caught on.

Denise, Petra, and Anna are all unhappy and believe love with the right man will help.
David is the answer to their wishes- handsome, caring but when will he meet them. Online dating can be fun and a long time to perfect. Will any of them get their happy ending?
Oh this was a great read. I flew through it and really enjoyed it. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

A twisty psychological thriller that is a classic page turner, really addictive once you start.

Three very different women start online dating the same handsome doctor who always seems to have an excuse for standing them up. When the women get together to track him down things take a dark turn.

I really liked this for its readability and the distinction between the characters, all of them interesting on different levels. Mostly though I loved the fact that it didn't take the path of least resistance in its resolution nor did it repeat the plot conventions that psychological thriller fans know so well .
Overall a clever, intriguing read.

This is my first time reading a novel by Mandy Byatt. I would like to thank Netgalley and Mandy for allowing me the opportunity to read and review this novel.

This novel is about three women who meet a doctor on an online dating app. Every date they tried to organise, he always stood them up. But David seemed to be the answer to all of their problems so they didn't mind.
Until one day…
The concept behind this novel was interesting and relevant to society today as there has been an increase in trying to find the love of your life on dating apps. This is what led me to read this book and I was excited to see Mandy’s take on the topic. However, I felt that the women became desperate, and I struggled to relate to some of their decision making. It was a very hard book to get into. The ending was well thought out, and unpredictable, but I just felt the uphill battle to finish this was a let down.
I therefore give this 2 stars out of 5

ust wow!! This is a fantastic psychological thriller! I was gripped throughout this read, and 100% did not predict THAT ending!!

The plot centres around 3 women, Anna, Petra and Denise, who all fall for online beau, David Kingfisher, hook, line and sinker! When David mysteriously disappears after Denise 'lends' him £10K she posts online and the 3 women become acquainted. The story then takes us on their pursuit of David, and it is quite a ride!!

This is a very well thought out and well written, cant fault this book at all!

My thanks to Net Galley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copyJ

This felt like the adult version of John Tucker Must Die!

Online dating is a treacherous endeavor that can shake anyone's confidence - In this story we see three very different women fall for the same man and then team up to uncover the truth about who he really is.

The dark and twisty story line is what sucked me in, but the flawed relatable characters really sealed the deal for me. This is a great debut novel, I can't wait to see what Byatt comes out with next.

Thank you to NetGalley & Mandy Byatt for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review

A gripping tale that holds a warning about the dangers of trusting strangers online. Absorbing scenes, characters to pity and some to dislike and a fast paced plot.

Three women who all want an happy ever after but at what lengths will they go to get it. I really dont want to give much away about this book but it had me gripped from the beginning. You really need to read this with no spoilers. Three women all have different reasons for joining a dating website. They get a response from David Kingfisher. When they are compelled to meet up, the game David is playing gets intense. Is anyone as nice as they seem?

Throughout the book the women are trying to work out who David is. I didnt guess until the reveal. Very psychological, very intense and absolutely brilliant. The flawed characters were well written and gave you that love to hate them vibe. This is my first read by Mandy Byatt and shes now on my autobuy list. I really couldn't put this down.
