Mistletoe in Juneau is a quirky little story which explains that love can be found in the most unique, unexpected ways and places. Danni leaves New York behind her for a month long vacation with a childhood friend but ends up not only finding out what she wants, who she is but meeting and developing a friendship with that has her feeling butterflies in her tummy. I love the story and found it hard to put down as I needed to see if she left Juneau to pack up or just leave her heart behind to mend
Such a fun read! Loved this one!
Many thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for my ARC.
You can only say so many things about a Hallmark Publishing novel, especially at Christmas. Touching and warm, this novel makes you believe in true love and family. I am not sure if this has been made into a movie yet, but it needs to be. With details from both the author and narrator, I can picture it all in my mind.
Recommended for any Hallmark Christmas Lover out there.
Hallmark always provides wholesome beautiful romance stories. This is no exception.
Loved the lost limb representation, beautiful scenery, and as usual a fantastic Christmas romance.
Highly recommend to fans of Hallmark Christmas movies, closed door romances and those in need of an Alaskan adventure.
I don’t think that you can ever go wrong with a Hallmark book! Danni and Declan were so sweet together and I was rooting for them the whole time! If you are looking for a lighthearted, sweet romance than this is definitely for you!

When Dani needs to escape her busy fast paced life, she goes to visit her best friend Amy in Juneau Alaska. While there Dani meets Declan, an army vet who is scared from his time in the war in more ways than one. Both feel the sparks but they each have their own reasons for not pursuing it. However fate has a way of making things happen…can Dani and Declan give in long enough to see what fate has in store?
I really liked this @hallmarkpublish book. It felt like pure hallmark but with some new elements. The description of the environment was fantastic. I was frustrated with Dani toward the end of the book and would have like to see her more self assured but again it was a lovely fluffy hallmark read.
I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review. All options are my own.

I didn’t get around to reading this one. I am sure it’s a lovely book. I love hallmark. I love reading. This probably a great read.
A great novel for fans of Hallmark movies. Actually, I am sitting here hoping that this will be made into a Hallmark movie! I am hoping for a return to Juneau in upcoming books!
This was the best holiday small romance and is #1 in my book. I absolutely loved this book, from the way the characters related to each other, as well as others. I also learned somethings I never knew. This was one of the best, heartwarming stories, and truthfully, I did not want to put it down, nor did i want it to end.
I received a copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I am writing this portion of the review from the viewpoint of Hallmark publishing. This definitely has Hallmark vibes. I liked that it was more than just a romance story. The main male character Declan is a veteran, who has his fears of being in a relationship. He lives in Auke Bay, where they emotionally support him and want nothing but the best for him. I loved the characters in the book. Not only Declan but Danni, Amy, Mateo and Peter. They all connected well, making Danni finally feel at home - in Alaska.
This critique is coming from my perspective. It seemed to be old fashioned thinking that the only reason Danni could stay in Alaska was if Declan asked her to stay. My mind wondered why that was the only reason for her to stay in a place that felt like home. She had Amy's family that was she connected to. Why wouldn't that be reason enough for her to stay in Alaska?
I could see this book being adapted to a movie.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.
This was a sweet Hallmark type of read that I enjoy reading during the Christmas season. It is definitely a clean read compared to some I have read which I prefer. Declan and Dani are perfect for each other and I really liked the hero and girl troupe.
Loved this book so much that it made me want to book a cruise to Alaska, so I could see the picturesque and beautiful places mentioned in the story! The author did a wonderful job of describing Alaska's natural beauty and the warmth and friendly people who live there. It reminded me a bit of my favorite TV show in the early 90's -- "Northern Exposure." Quirky people, fun adventures in snowy conditions, and an entertaining story. Although the story takes place around Christmas, it would be a great story to read anytime of the year. Maybe even sitting on the beach in the summer with 100 degree temperatures! If you're looking for love and adventure in Alaska, I recommend this book.
Thank you to Netgalley and Hallmark Publishing for providing a copy of this book in return for a fair and impartial review.
Such a fun story! The setting truly felt magical and the characters were so relatable that you can't help connect with them from page 1.
Sweet, a bit of emotional and feel good romance. It was nice to read about more cultural diversity, I was afraid it will be too sad when it came to the war- injury scenes but the author managed to deliver positive vibes all along. I would like to see more cheerful and happier scenes, but this was quite emotional and self-developing story.
I would give this 10 stars if I could! I absolutely LOVED everything about this story! Clean romance and the plot is awesome. You will continue to think about this sweet story when you walk away from it. Great character development and unique storyline.
I would like to thank Netgalley, Hallmark Publishing and Dahlia Rose for an e arc copy of this book. This book was published on the 19th October 2021.
I really enjoyed this book. The setting of Alaska was fantastic, you felt you were there. Danni was a lovely character and I loved the way she got involved with helping her friend. She has come to Alaska wo regroup and get away from her pushy manager. Danni has a blog and vlog that has gone viral and she feels that she has lost the roots of both. Could her time in Alaska help her reconnect, not only with her friend but herself as well? She the local sheriff attractive and there is a connection, but do they both want to act on it? The sheriff has his own issues could Danni help him?
All the characters were well written and as a reader you felt you got to know them really well.
This is my first book by this author and it won’t be my last. Would recommend it.
A sweet Christmassy romance!
I enjoyed this one. It did take me a little while to get into and I was worried it wouldn’t be for me, but it was cute and just what you’d expect from a Hallmark story.
I liked the characters, I thought Danni was great and I definitely want to read more characters like her. I did like Declan too, but perhaps could have liked him more.
I have come to realise that I, personally, am not a fan of insta-love, and this felt rather ‘insta-lovey’. That being said, it was still a sweet romance that is perfect for this time of year.
3.5 rounded up
This publication will appeal to readers of light romance. It does not contain any intrigue or major conflicts, so it is ideal as a feel-good adventure. Danni leaves New York City to visit her pregnant best friend Amy in Alaska. Her manager, Austin, is also the man she is dating and she lets him know she needs a break from their relationship before she leaves. She feels like her parents do not respect her job as an influencer (she travels and creates content for her brand) and they worry about her not having a more stable career. The contrast between busy NYC and the homey community where Amy lives are extreme and opens Danni up to new, happy experiences.
Declan is a local, well-liked police officer, combat hero who wears a prosthetic leg, and is coping with PTSD. Their chemistry first starts out as a friendship, with Danni showing him that she appreciates his service and his ties to Amy's family. He sees her as different from the last woman he was close to, as well as funny and attractive. The third person point of view alternates between their actions and thoughts.
The side characters in the story are diverse and add some meaningful conversations and a little backstory to the narrative. Mateo, Amy's husband, is from a tribe who are native to the area. They, along with Declan's mom, add heartwarming moments as the storyline moves along. The "misunderstanding" section that appears in a lot of love stories does appear and could have been fixed with a conversation, but it is cleared up with a satisfying ending. Just like in the brand where this book is from, the steam level is extremely low, so those who enjoy sweet romances will want to give this one a try.
I listened to the audiobook of this title for this review. Thanks to Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley for the
e-galley. My reviews and ratings are my own.
I enjoyed this second-chance romance that takes place in one of my favorite locations in existence: Juneau, Alaska. The unique, picturesque, and stunning location makes a wonderful partner to this sweet romance. Both Danni and Declan have bad a bit of it in regards to past obstacles, but just at a time when both are at pivotal points in their life, they find one another, help each other find rays of hope, and in finding that new future, they find love.
This book was super cute and just what I needed for Christmas! It was a corny romance with lots of Christmas cheer
