Yes. We needed this book, not only does Ashley need to forgive Paris, those of us who have followed her for years, needed closure! LOL
This book takes Ashley and Landon back to a dark time in both their lives as there are painful memories, good memories, new discoveries, old friends found, new relationships and so many ways the Baxter stories can continue!
So much healing in these pages and a book you won’t want to miss!

Loved this wonderful story of love and forgiveness not only from and for others but for Ashley herself. Sometimes revisiting the past can be healing, especially when done with loved ones which may include a few surprises along the way.

Baxter fans, Ashley's long-awaited story unfolds in 'Forgiving Paris.' Celebrating their anniversary and Ashley's art gallery opening, the Blake's travel to Paris. Realizing that she's never forgiven herself for past mistakes, Ashley has a chance to make new memories.

Karen Kingsbury's life-changing fiction affords readers to reexamine their lives. Looking back, we're quick to judge our decisions. We don't realize that experience affords that reflection. While coming to terms with the past, we need to forgive ourselves to move forward.

Kingsbury references 'little boats' throughout the novel. Those untethered boats reference lives we've touched that we didn't realize were impacted. While facing her past, Ashley is 'shore' to discover that she made a difference in people's lives during her darkest days.

Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher for the early edition in exchange for an honest review. As a Kingsbury fan, I eagerly awaited Ashley's story. What I didn't realize, was how it would impact mine. While I've questioned choices I've made, I didn't realize I was holding on to regret. Without giving anything away, Ashley's actions helped me move forward. 'Forgiving Paris' is packed with adventure that will leave readers reconnecting with their past while carving out a brighter future.

Wow! Forgiving Paris is a thought-provoking story of Ashley, a Baxter series character. Flashbacks carry readers back to her first trip to Paris. Detailed accounts of events in her life and in those of others are intertwined with the present day return to Paris. Both trips represent her following her dreams as an artist, yet the results as Ashley recalls the past greatly differ. Allusions to Jesus as He calms the stormy waters of not just His boat but of the other small boats as well are beautifully aligned with past and current events. God’s eternal presence surrounds Ashley through the presence of Angels. With the setting of Paris, Ashley discovers the light of love extends to everyone, especially herself. A great journey of complete forgiveness, learning to forgive self through the lenses of others’ emotions and perspectives. A great read!

I absolutely love reading about the Baxter Family. In fact, I have even read the books for kids to my daughter and she has fallen in love with the Baxters. I can't wait for her to read the stories of this family when she is older!

There were always so many unanswered questions of what happened to Ashley when she was in Paris. Previous books alluded to the fact that there was more to the story and in this book, the author shines a light on the mystery of Paris.

Landon continues to be such a fabulous character! His love for the LORD, his family and others is so great. I love how great of an encourager he is to Ashley.

This book gave me a lot to think about and I am so thankful to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

I am a fan of Karen Kingsbury, have been for years, was eager to read this ARC!

Another Baxter Family Story

Ashley made decisions years ago she must deal with now,
Paris destroyed her before, can she find peace now?

No redemption without brokenness.

Catch up with old family and friends
Or start reading a great series, this book can stand on its own,
but you'd be missing out on a wonderful uplifting family and series.

Reading any of Karen Kingsbury’s book is always a good experience, and I love following her Baxter family series. This book is about Ashley, and her return to Paris for a showing of her artwork. She is nervous about the trip because of events when she was there as a young woman. I loved the descriptions of Paris, and the characters are easy to like. With a Christian theme, the book clearly shows how God is everywhere and always aware of your circumstances. Anyone who likes Christian fiction or just clean fiction, will like this book. While it is easily read as a stand-alone, I recommend reading all the books in the series for the entire story of the Baxters.

I received an advance copy of, Forgiving Paris, by Karen Kingsbury. This is a very good read. Ashley is going back to Paris, with her husband. Ashley's last trip to Paris, was not great. Ashley's past will catch up with her in Paris, will her and her husband survive it together?

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it hurts me to give it three stars. I absolutely love Karen Kingsbury's Baxter Family Series. It is one of my most favorite series ever and I love reading more about the family. Paris holds some critical truths for Ashley Baxter and I've been intrigued to know more about her time there. When I saw that Karen Kingsbury was writing a book about this, I was so excited! I dropped everything to read this book as soon as possible. However, much of this book fell flat for me. I found there to be too many characters introduced and a lot of them weren't connected until so late in the book. The plot just wasn't too engaging, I felt. This feeling may have been just me and my high expectations. If you're a Baxter Family lover, I encourage you to give this one a chance.

Paris. The City of Love, but not for everyone? We meet up again with Ashley Baxter Blake, who, when very young went to Paris to pursue her love of art. Not only was love of art what she found, but love of a man, who literally changed her life.

Now Ashley and her husband, Landon, are going to Paris for her to have an art show, her ultimate dream of being an artist. But secrets from her young life are buried deep within her and she is afraid to face those demons and let others know about them. She has not been able to forgive herself for her actions. Will she find that forgiveness during this trip or will those who find out about her past change their opinion of her.

I have read all the books by this author, but this was the first one I have read that I did not shed a tear. I thought the suspense in the middle of the book could have been treated in a more exciting manner, leaving it a little bland to me. I would, however, recommend it for all those who love Karen Kingsbury’s books.

I received a copy of this book from Atria Books and NetGalley. The opinions expressed are my own.

I was happy when I got this email widget for Forgiving Paris! Thank you girls!
What a compelling read! For a Christian author, Kingsbury tackles the most interesting and intense topics with ease. This is listed as a Christian Fiction/Adult Fiction and usually.... If I'm being honest I stray away from Christian novels! (Even though yes I'm a Christian) but I wanted to try it out here!
And holy cow.... I'm blown away!
I looked Karen Kingsbury up and from the looks of it she mostly writes Christian Fiction/Adult Fiction.
Which now I'm looking into more of her work.
This book was beautifully done and so well written.
Truly this novel makes you think about life. About forgiving yourself for the past mistakes you've made.
I really enjoyed this story. The writing, the characters. Everything was so well done here!

Thanks again NetGalley, Publisher and Author for the chance to read and review this amazing book!
I'll post to my Social media platforms closer to pub date!

Karen Kingsbury does it again! Every book she writes pulls at your heart strings, is full of faith, and keeps you fully engaged, Forgiving Paris is no different. Surprisingly though there is a lot of deep mystery which I was not expecting for one of her books so it was a nice surprise.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

This is a good book with a few twists but it's what we have come to expect from the Baxter family.
You can read this as a stand alone because relationships are explained in the book.
I love that Ashley was able to return to Paris and put her past behind her and that Landon was with her.
The flashbacks to their younger days were very important to the story. I hope there will be a future book with Jessie and Gabe.

Ashley Baxter Blake never thought she’d be going back to Paris again. Not after she made a series of mistakes during her time there 23 years ago, but when she gets invited to show case her art and spend her anniversary with her husband, and see her niece, it might just be a alright. Little does she know, this trip just may be an answer to prayer with some unexpected news.
You will just have to read to find out what happens.

Karen Kingsbury does it again. She brings together another story about forgiveness, hope, and the love of family.

I graciously received an advance e-copy from Netgalley for review. All opinions are my own.

When I first saw the cover of this novel and read the title, I was immediately drawn in. A modern day romance set in Paris? Yes, please. When I decided to review the book I was unfamiliar with Karen Kingsbury’s work and her long list of back titles. I didn’t know she has 68.6K Instagram followers and had no idea the Baxter family saga is a long running, NY Times best-selling Inspirational Romance series. When I opened the novel to page one the author’s work was still new to me.

Despite being part of a well-established family saga, Forgiving Paris stands well on its own. I was able to sail through this reader-friendly story without getting lost in the family history. The Inspirational elements reflect the Christian faith and flow seamlessly with the plot lines. The theme of the book is forgiveness, though forgiving oneself for past mistakes can be the hardest task of all. An enjoyable read.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for providing an ARC for an honest review. *NetGalley Top Reviewer.

Forgiving Paris gives us another story about the Baxter family as Ashley (Baxter) Blake and her husband travel to Paris for a showing of her paintings at an art gallery. Using memories for a dual timeline we find out a lot more about what happened to Ashley when she ran off to Paris as a very young adult. What I appreciated most about this story was seeing Ashley process her mistakes of the past and learn to forgive herself. I also liked the instances of serendipity that are attributed by the characters to God or even angels in the flesh, I suspect this happens in real life more than we realize. I enjoyed the description of various places in Paris though would have benefited from a quick overview of the way the city is divided into twenty arrondissements – I’ve never been there and sometimes felt a bit lost by the geographical references as she was visiting sites, both in memory and present day. Karen Kingsbury fans will love this and anyone could pick it up and read standalone. For me the book was both an easy, fast read but also though-provoking.

Thanks to Net Galley and Atria books for a copy to read and review; all opinions are my own.
