Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher/author for providing me with an e-copy in exchange for my honest review.
This book was exactly what I wanted it to be! I loved it. I will make sure to check out other books by this author. When I requested this I was just intrigued by the concept of it and I loved how it turned out. This story had a great plot and if you have read this and enjoyed it, This was so much. It was such a great story. I would say give this one a try. I will continue to follow this author. Way to go to this author for not letting me down.
I like the message of this book, however, it fells and reads self-published. The story tries to rhyme and have a cadence, but it drops so often that it just does not work. It’s a tongue tripper. The idea is there, but the execution needs work. I like this story but feel it could be better.

I read this to my 6 (almost 7) year old. He was totally engrossed in the story and it's message.
The illustrations were great and the book was the perfect length.
At the end of the book, there are pictures drawn by a young boy and my son thought that was so cool. He said "hey mommy, did someone bully that boy?" So I thought it was really cool that he cared enough to even think to ask that.
I definitely think this is a great age appropriate read for 5-7 year olds.
My son said he give this book 10 out of 5 stars, he really liked it.
I tried to tag the authors and illustrator but I was not able to find them on Instagram.
Awwww this book is such a cute book! I do wish it were a little longer. But nonetheless it is a book my little ones will adore with out a doubt! I loved the message this book offers, and the pictures were absolutely adorable! I can’t wait to read this to my kids!
Beautiful message for kids♥️ Really enjoyed it♥️
The only thing is I wish the book could have been longer with more stories....Other than that...Loved it!
This is a great story for kids and not just the ones who love Zombies. I read this with a couple kids and the takeaway from them with the story was that it is ok to be different. They loved the pictures that went with the story and will be reading the story again and again. To me that is a win!
This book had a very good story behind it, but it wasn't anything amazing. It was a fun concept and teaches a good lesson, but it isn't one that is likely to stick with me or one I would read to a child more than once.
My daughter read this book and she said she really liked this book and she liked that the bully became friends with him in the end. She liked the message this sent. I really like stories like this which have a hidden message in the story which teaches children without them knowing. I can definitely recommend this book and my daughter who is 9 can record it too. She has asked me to get a copy of this book for her to continue reading
My son and I read this together. He liked it because being different to other kids is like having a disability but at the same time have joy, be kind, and it will always come back around. He didn’t like Homer Joy getting bullied but he liked how he was full of love and helped save Miss Priss.
10/10⭐️
Wow what a cute book. Poor Homer! I found this book to be very cute and entertaining for children as well as for adults. It kind of reminded me of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer but with a creepy twist. Especially the afterword where the author thanked her children and grandchildren and included photos of them and even thanked her one grandson, Ryan. She included photos of those pictures he had drawn and colored. Just a very cute and adorable book about a misunderstood zombie.
Great spooky season book!
I don't usually like books where there is a bully and the person being bullied needs to forgive the bully. especially when the bully doesn't even ask for forgiveness. I think overall, it does send a message that you shouldn't be mean to others or make assumptions about others, especially based on how they look which I of course believe and think it is a good lesson for children.
