This kept me glued to read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously.

First off, the cover? LOVED!! The title? LOVED! A unique intriguing storyline full of suspense, drama and just plain creepiness! I'm always excited when I find a new series and am very much looking forward to book 2 of the Detective Swanson series. Will definitely recommend!

I give the author some credit for allowing the main character to have some sense of self-preservation, even if it is disastrously underutilized. Also, the story, while a little clumsy, wasn't altogether bad. What really put me off was the fuzzy writing. At one point a character worried that someone would jump out from behind a lamppost or driveway, at another she applied a smattering of lipstick, I could go on, but I'd really rather forget this ever happened.

This was such a gripping read, oh my gosh i couldn't pout it down but I also didn't want to keep reading it was so good. I love book swith a gothic feel that are set in asylums and so i got a similar vibe with this and I loved it. I cannot wait for the second book in this series to come out

I loved that this book drew you in from page 1! It was quite a fast paced read.
Summer Thomas is being followed by a patient she advocates for in a locked hospital ward, but nobody seems to remember this patient. Everyone keeps lying to Summer and she’s trying to figure out WHO and WHY.

There were some shocking twists through the story but I did feel that the ending was left with me wanting a little more to tie up the loose ends. I wish I felt like I knew these characters better and I wish more happened inside the psych ward.

I love psychiatric hospital books, they’ve always given me the eerie feeling.
I really enjoyed the cover for this book and I loved the chapters from the POV of the psycho stalker!

Synopsis

Summer Thomas questions her own sanity when violent patient, Lucy Clark, disappears from a locked hospital ward.

Because no one else will admit that Lucy exists.

As Summer digs deeper into the disappearance, it becomes apparent that Lucy is looking for her too, but Summer should have stayed away. Now, Lucy is coming for her...

And there's no escaping someone who doesn't exist.

Commentary

Well, a promising Synopsis, right? Well, despite all the praises for this book, I must admit that this book is not my cup of tea, and let me tell you why.

The author is only focused on the main character which is Summer Thomas, and the other characters mentioned in the book only act as supporting actors. This is not a characters driven story, meaning that none of the characters were fleshed out. There's also a little to no depth in the story plots.

The police procedure is poorly executed. The kidnapping event happened quickly and I got an idea that the author doesn't seem to know about the procedure. This is not an example of 'show, don't tell' story, its poorly executed story made me want to bail it out and read other book. I'm sorry.

I thank NetGalley for this copy in exchange for a honest review. I'm sure that the author is improving her writing style and I hope that her next book will be a much better one.

Thank you Netgalley and author Ashley Beegan for this ARC.

This book has potential, but as is, it was mostly a disappointment. It tried in a very ham-fisted way to be something it just didn't quite make it to--a psychological thriller. A lot of it was confusing, blind dead ends with no real resolution or explanation. The narration and voice were much too immature for the dealings going on.

I was very excited for this book after reading the title and description.
I must say it exceeded my expectations. The plot was perfect , confusing yes . But i think that's the thing about thrillers , watching all things connect at once feels so satisfying .
Can't wait for more books by the author .
.
The pace was too fast for me at times and that was the only thing i didn't like.

An incredible psychological thriller. Gripping, terrifying and suspenseful. I literally couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. A must read!

A great thriller that will have you wondering what is going on, and wondering if Summer is actually going crazy ad imagining things, or if she is actually sane and knows what she is talking about, which adds to the mystery and suspense of this great thriller. Is Lucy a figment of her imagination or is Lucy a real person?

This one held my interest for sure and I am looking forward to more books by this author. A definite must read!

Thank you to the publisher and the author for an eARC of this title.

Let me just make one thing clear..... This book is ADDICTING! Lucy's coming for you is sure to be a hit, Ashley Beegan sure does know how to tell a story!

Lucy's Coming For You, has all of the key elements of a psychological thriller, not only as a book but I can see this being made into a movie. Cue the fear factors and you can even go in a horror direction. I personally was very scared and looking under the bed after I concluded reading.

Summer was a great character, not only was she relatable but you truly liked her as a person. Everything she was going through I felt as though I was right alongside her. My anxiety was at an all time high. This is a "must read" .

I received a gifted copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via the author.

Lucy's coming for you is a fast paced psychological thriller that had me looking over my shoulder and jumping at noises!
Summer is an advocate within high security mental hospitals for the patients. She is their voice and does all she can to do her best for each patient she works with.
When Lucy, one of the patients she's been an advocate for, disappears off the ward and the doctor and ward nurse say they don't know who she's talking about, Summer starts to question her own sanity. Has she been imagining this patient and going crazy like her older brother, or is she really missing?
Lucy's world spirals into that of nightmares and she doesn't know who she can trust or turn to. Will people think she's gone crazy like her brother and have her sectioned onto one of the wards she works on where the patients feel scared and powerless? Or will people believe her?
Summer decides to delve further into funding out what's happened to Lucy, but will Lucy find her first?
This book had me on the edge of my seat - literally!
Summer was such a likeable and relatable character and I felt her fear, anxiety and confusion with every chapter I read. If you love psychological thrillers you really must read this!
I can't wait to read book 2 in this new series!

Over the top and totally implausible... but such good fun!!
With enough creepiness to have you on alert for strange noises, and a story line that has you doubting everyone.
Just what I needed after a few "meh" reads.

Whoa! Lucy's Coming for you, by Ashley Beegan, had me on the edge of my seat for most of the book! I'm not a huge fan of the Title though. It feels like it might feed into the false stigma that the uneducated attach to those with mental illness. Though I appreciate that the book makes the point that the mentally ill are more likely to be victims of violence than they are to commit any acts of violence. I also liked the main character, Summer Thomas, though she does come off as a bit neurotic. Of course, with everything going on, it's no wonder!
When patient, Lucy Clark, disappears from the hospital the patient advocate,Summer, gets concerned and wants to know what happened.
But her coworkers are acting like Lucy was never there. As she continues to look into the disappearance, she realises that Lucy is looking for her too. Maybe Summer shouldn't keep looking because now someone is after her.

3.5 Stars

"Lucy Clarke? There is no Lucy Clarke on this ward."

Imagine hearing that after treating a client named Lucy Clark! This book was so creepy...it had me guessing all the way through. Was Lucy real? Was she a ghost? Has she run away? Is she really missing?

This was a one sitting read for me, not just because it is a short book (.ePUB 215 pages) but because I couldn't put it down I HAD to find out what the heck was going on with this Lucy character. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Part police procedural, part thriller Lucy's Coming For You is a keep you in your seat psychological thriller, an amazing debut and an excellent start to a series. I look forward to book two.

Good book , this book had suspense, intrigue, action, and drama! It also so had a unique storyline, it was very different from most books I've read! I would definitely recommend reading this book, its well worth reading! But it wasn't one of my edge of my seat nail biter types either , it still was very good just not an all time favorite! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
