I loved The Boyfriend by Hurst so I had to get The Promotion. And it didn't disappoint either!
The twists and turns did not let up in this book. Finally a suspense/thriller that is not predictable and one that I would recommend. Had me on edge from start to finish and I would read more from this author in the future.

Imogen is happily married and has worked at the bank for years, putting effort and commitment into her roles and getting promoted along the way. The next step is being promoted to the boss, but that can't happen as the current boss, Michael, knows a secret about Imogen that means she is completely in his power. Michael does everything he can to make Imogen's life miserable, such as giving her so much work that she needs to spend her evenings and weekends trying to keep up with her work instead of being able to spend time with her husband or her ill father. Another brilliant book by Daniel Hurst. The plot was exciting and tense and we are constantly on edge waiting to see what will happen next. I loved how it all came together in the end and the twists and turns were great. A recommended read, like all of Daniel's books.
