Wow, this is one amazing book! I am not sure how you get four authors to collaboratively write such a well-crafted story, let alone a split time historical suspense. But, they have done it and written a fabulous book that was hard to put downable. From the opening scene of a man defying a wicked empire, to the present day, the Lang family is the epitome of standing up for truth and seeing that evil does not win.

The opening scene reminded me of The Sound of Music because the Langs must flee their beloved Austrian home as Leopold chooses not to join Hitler’s regime. As the oldest sibling entrusted with his sisters, Karl must outsmart and outmaneuver a killer to get them to safety and avoid imminent capture. I was caught up in their flight as the children miraculously stayed one step ahead. The children’s exciting, heart wrenching separation and lives after the war was the perfect back story for the present day Lang descendants.

As each of the four heirs of the Lang estate discover how Falcon Point plays a part in their lives, they once again must stand against the Sauermann family who will stop at nothing to destroy them and keep their family’s legacy. The story is electrifying and brilliantly written as the heirs join together to regain the family’s ancestral home. The events that lead up to the exciting conclusion make this a 5/5 star book.

If you like fast-paced, suspenseful novels, this is the book you will want to read. The cousins, their romantic interests, and the story that each of them has to share makes me hopeful this will be a series. I would love to see it made into a movie.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the authors for an electronic arc copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review; all opinions expressed are my own.

Heirs of Falcon Point is a beautiful work of historical fiction brought to us by Traci Hunter Abramson, Sian Ann Bessey, Paige Edwards and A.L. Sowards. It is a fast paced novel that begins with the Lang family in the 1940’s. The focus is on the siblings Karl, Ingrid and Anna and their flight from Austria and their home, Falcon Point, two years after the Anschluss and a tragedy that will forever change their lives. What happens next to the three siblings is a mystery that will take a future generation to solve.

As the novel moves to the present day, four cousins are each left with mementos from their former grandparents. Anna, a picture, Tess and Lars, a dazzling pair of earrings and Cole, old letters and a family bible. All of these keepsakes when separate are puzzling, but together, hold a key to their family’s past. As the clues bring the cousins together for the very first time, the missing pieces of their lives, though startling, begin to make sense. They are the true descendants and heirs to Falcon Point. But as this stunning revelation is made known, a dark and menacing figure from the past remains determined. The Lang Family descendants and heirs will never occupy Falcon Point again.

This book was amazing. Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres and Heirs of Falcon Point hit all the right notes for me. It had everything; suspense, history and romance all beautifully woven together. I love the characters these four authors have created. I especially liked Ingrid, Carl and Anna. Their story at the beginning had me on the edge of my seat. I literally held my breath at certain parts of the book. The personalities of the cousins were so well written and I cheered when they were finally united. And let's not forget the bad guys in the story. We all loath the bad guys and these characters were no exception. I have to admit I am always in awe when a writer puts pen to paper and creates a great story. But how these four authors were able to bring this story together so smoothly and uniquely was really inspiring. I would love to see them do it again.

So if you are looking for your next great book, pick up a copy of Heirs of Falcon Point. It is a great story sure to please all types of readers.

I want to thank NetGalley and Covenant Communications for a copy of Heirs of Falcon Point by Traci Hunter Abramson, Sian Ann Bessey, Paige Edwards and A.L. Sowards. “The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own”.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book! Even though I have read and enjoyed books by each of the authors, I worried that the book would feel a little choppy with 4 different authors writing parts of the same story. I needn’t have worried. Traci Hunter Abramson, Paige Edwards, Sian Ann Bessy, and A.L. Sowards did a fantastic job! The story flowed smoothly through out the whole book.
This book hooked me from page one. I couldn’t put it down and lost a lot of sleep because I had to find out how it ended. It was intense from beginning to end. This is a book I will definitely be buying for my personal library. I highly recommend it!

Do not begin reading "Heirs of Falcon Point" unless you have a few hours, or days, to dedicate. If you are anything like me you will find yourself glued to this book with your heart racing in anticipation. I could not put this book down and thought about it for days after finishing it.

"Heirs of Falcon Point" begins in 1940 at the beginning of the rise of Nazi Germany. Leopold Lang finds himself face-t0-face with an old friend, Herr Sauermann, who has come to recruit him to work for the Nazi Regime. As the family prepares to flee Karl, the eldest and only son, finds himself learning that things aren't always what they seem to be. He also learns that doing the right thing and staying true to yourself isn't always easy. Fleeing Austria is full of surprises and challenges and we are left not knowing who makes it.

Eighty years later, the great-grandchildren discover that they are the heirs of Falcon Point. Switching between three different stories and points-of-view could not have been an easy task. Yet the authors have managed to do it in a seamless way. We get to see how each of the grand-children connect to the original Lang family and learn more of what happened during WWII.

I loved the emotion and intensity that was built into this story. Throughout all of the different perspectives and story lines there is an underlying feeling of longing. Longing for a family, for a home, and understanding about their ancestors. This novel is beautifully written and I will be rereading it for years to come.

The connection I felt with this book was instant and gigantic. The beautiful writing of all these authors together turned this historical fiction into so much more! The fall atmospheric vibes really got me hooked and the moment I lain eyes on Falcon Point, I knew I couldn't get away easily. 🍁

I'm not myself. I finished this book and I still can't believe what I've read. This has to be the best historical fiction I've read, so far, this year. Perfect for fans of Kristin Hannah and Anthony Doerr. For me, it was so much more than reading a book: it was discovering an era where people lived with fear, fled the war and tried to save their families. 🕊️ It was extraordinary and really beautiful to read about.

The story revolves around 3 children - Anna, Ingrid and Karl -, who lived in the war and whose parents were killed. Then, we see them running away and saving themselves - their story continues in the perspective of their great-grandchildren, in the present day, Anna, Cole, Tess and Lars. With the help of some good friends such as Isabelle, Beckett and Bram and lots of stunning romance between the characters, they finally resolve the mysteries of their past and reconnect as a unit, as a family. 🗝️

This was such a stunning piece of literature! I'm so honored to having been approved for an earc on @netgalley! I can't thank this platform enough for all the amazing new books I've discovered! Also, yes, I've already pre-ordered the paperback version because I need to have this book on my shelves! 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭𝘁𝗵!

Four powerhouse authors deliver BIG on this nail-biting suspense! I’ve read almost everything by these four authors and came in with HIGH expectations. Expectations met, and exceeded! The suspense I found was exactly what I look for in a book to keep me hooked, but still breathe when the lights go out. I loved the relationships and interwoven stories. The beginning based during WWII was perfection and set up the rest of the story perfectly! I wondered if I would feel like the writing would show the individual authors writing styles and was amazed at how smooth and connected the writing was. I can’t imagine how much effort went into making this book what it is! It is nothing short of perfection! Highly, highly recommend!!!

Thanks to the authors, publisher and netgalley for the copy. All thoughts in this review are my own.

A fantastic novel with two time periods. Written by four authors. A story that started in World War II and ends eighty years later, in a fight to claim what is theirs.
I got caught up in the story from the first page. Three siblings, Karl, Ingrid and Anna, must flee from their beloved home, Falcon Point. All three siblings get separated on their journey.
Eighty years later, Falcon Point is being made into a resort, but an old letter, is tied to the estate and those who will inherit. This novel was well written and had me gripped inside the pages. I've never read a book, where different authors wrote each character. I hope they plan to write other stories together.

As a history lover, and in particular World War 2 fiction, I was hesitant about this book as it was written by four authors. I was concerned that the different writing styles might not mesh. I was so wrong. The story is about an Austrian father who is trying to preserve and protect his estate from the Nazis, and to keep his children safe from Hitler. He then hides his wealth as a precaution. Eighty years later, cousins Anna, Beckett, Tess, Lars, Bram, Cole, and Isabelle try to decipher and find the treasures left behind in the estate. History and mystery blend superbly in this well written, interesting book. I hope there is a sequel.
I was provided this copy by NetGalley for my unpaid, honest review.

The synopsis and group of authors for Heirs of Falcon Point set the expectation for this story high in my mind and I was not let down. I did struggle with some sudden transitions and multiple POVs, but these did not distract from the gripping suspense, clean romance, and witty humor that made the story an exciting page turner. Although the majority of this story is set in present day, the history added depth to an already rich tale. Heirs of Falcon Point is the kind of story that calls for staying up late and taking every spare opportunity to read until you reach the end. 4.8/5 stars.

You will love this book! You get a taste of history mixed with current day and the suspense is spot on. You would never know it was written with multiple authors because it flows seamlessly. I loved the core concept of the book, which is family and how important they are. I would love to see more of their stories unfold. Very well done.

Let me just say it was fabulous and I only had three and a half hours of sleep after starting the book at 11:00 last night. My only advice is to not start it at night unless you want to be up most of the night! It was totally worth it! I am amazed at how flawlessly authors Paige Edwards, Traci Hunter Abramson, Sian Bessey, and A.L. Sowards wrote this story together.

From before the book starts, it says "In the early days of World War II, the Lang family lost everything. Eighty years later, it's time to take it back." What a compelling and well-written story!

It begins in Austria two years after the Anschluss. where the Austria they knew, no longer exists and Leopold Lang has to make the choice of following his conscience and trying to save his children Karl, Ingrid, Anna, and himself, or joining the Nazis. "Which is worse? Betraying your conscience or betraying your country." "After the Anschluss, I held out hope that Hitler's bluster would blow over, that we'd still have some autonomy. But I've watched what's happening, here and in Chechoslovakia and in Poland. Herr Hitler is leading us to ruin."
"Only those who must know the truth should have to bear its burden."
"Life is full of surprises and hardships, Karl. Plan for what you can, and do your best to get back up when you're knocked over by something unexpected."

In the present timeline, I loved how it kept me guessing. I enjoyed the contemporary characters so much, as well as the humor. "Should we be worried that you know what to do to hide a crime scene?" "I'll be fine, it's just a flesh wound." I was loving and rooting for Anna, Beckett, Tess, Lars, Bram, Cole, and Isabelle! Hey dear authors, would you ever consider doing a follow-up to this story? You would have my vote!

I have to give kudos to these four authors for such a well-written, flawlessly woven story that kept me turning pages and on the edge of my seat most of the night!

I highly recommend Heirs of Falcon Point! I thank the authors for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.

HEIRS OF FALCON POINT by ABRAMSON, BESSEY, EDWARDS & SOWARDS, is the epic story of the Lang family of Falcon Point in Austriac covering two time periods, namely 1940 and the present.Although it is written by four authors the storyruns seamlessly.
In 1940 seventeen year old Karl and his younger sisters Ingrid and Anna escape Nazi sympathiser William Sauermann and German occupied Austria with instructions from their father as to where to go and what to do if he does not make the journey with them He gives each of them something with which to remember their home and family We see incredible courage here and also how the family bond is never broken in spite of the children being separated early on in the journey. We also see a father’s love for his children and for his country, together with his refusal to join Hitler’s army. He is a code specialist and we see this coming through in his great grandson Cole.
In the present, Gunnar Sauermann is afraid of any of the Lang descendants coming back to Falcon Point to spoil his plans. He is willing to do anything to keep his ill begotten stewardship of the property, with its hidden treasure, the money to be made from the railways taking over part of the land, and the turning of the property into an upmarket holiday resort.
There is so much intrigue and nail biting suspense that you will not be able to put the book down! Thr plot is very well worked out and the characters well portrayed. The theme of family loyalty runs strongly through this most enjoyable split time romance novel.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Covenant Comunications. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

Heirs Of Falcon Point was an interesting read. Going from the past to the future generations kept me turning the pages. I would recommend the book highly.

From Austria during WWII to all over current day Europe, these authors wove a story of intrigue and suspense. While we knew who the bad guy was from the beginning, Traci Abramson, Sian Bessey, Paige Edwards, and AL Sowards worked together to make this story engaging and I couldn't put it down. The way these authors worked together made the story seamless. The beginning made me reminiscent of The Sound of Music with how the characters are escaping the Nazis who want to conscript them but with the authors' own flair. This lent the story a familiar air with answering the question, what would have happened that I never knew I needed to know. I came to love the characters-both the original Lang siblings and their current-day descendants.

With the list of authors on the cover, I knew this story would be fantastic- but I was blown away with how detailed and captivating this was from beginning to end.

Thank you net galley for the advance reader copy of this novel. This was an absolutely fantastic novel set in two time lines... WWII and present day. I loved the action in this novel about cousins trying to find a family treasure dating back to WWII. the cousins know nothing of each other initially but find each other throughout this novel. Sweet romance moments throughout were delightful. A very very well put together novel! My only complaint is I hope there is a sequel that tells more of the WWII story and continues the present day take. Highly recommend!

Heirs of Falcon Point was written by 4 different authors, which makes it pretty unique. The story starts in Austria 🇦🇹 when Hitler invades the country. The head of the family Leopold Lang is forced to join the Nazi’s or escape with his family and leave his wealthy estate behind. It reminded me of the end of The Sound of Music, but with more action. My favorite character was Leopold. He had so much integrity and wisdom. I loved his quote: “Life is full of surprises and hardships, Karl. Plan for what you can, and do your best to get back up when you’re knocked over by something unexpected.”

Things I loved:
The introduction to the Lang family was exciting and had many unexpected turns.

The Lang family has a long line of code breakers. My dad was a code writer, code breaker, linguist, and cryptologist, so it was fun to read about someone with his skills.

The heirs all had their own emerging romances and it was so easy to love each of the characters and root for them.

I loved this book. So many great characters. Surprises all throughout. It was definitely hard to put down. I liked that it started at the beginning of WWII but then jumped to modern day and then gave flash backs through memories. Multigenerational books are always fun. I had not read some of these authors before, but loved their writing style. I will definitely be checking out their other works.

"Heirs of Falcon Point" is a romantic suspense novel. It started with Karl in 1940 as he and his two younger sisters escape from an evil SS officer and get separated in the process. The story then skipped forward to present day and followed three descendants--one from each original child--as they discover each other and their right to claim Falcon Point. However, the descendent of the evil Nazi wants to retain control of the property and hires assassins to take them out.

The suspense was high throughout, especially in the historical section as they were constantly on the run. While all of the main characters were feisty and fought back, one was better trained for this task. Luckily, each descendent reconnected with a romantic partner from the past or met someone new who was willing to help support and protect them. These romantic partners supported their main character, built them up, and were smart and caring. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I recommend this enjoyable and exciting novel.

I was so excited to read this book especially because some of my favorite authors collaborated to write this lovely book! Heirs of Falcon Point is written by Traci Hunter Abramson, Sian Ann Bessey, Paige Edwards, and A. L. Sowards and it was such an exciting book!
Karl was on the run, he just wanted to protect his family. He and his two sisters, Anna and Ingrid were forced to flee their home but they never expected to be ripped apart by the war, never to be reunited. Anna, Cole and Tess have never met or even known of each other but they are searching for the past that their relatives had told them of. However there are some who don’t wish for the Lang family to find each other or find Falcon Point. Will the descendants of Karl and his sisters, Anna, Cole and Tess, be able to find each other and find their home. Or will those who wish to take the wealth of Falcon Point succeed?
This was such a fun and interesting book to read! There were so many things happening and I was really interested in seeing how it would end! The first person you really follow is Karl and his sisters as they escape their home. Karl was an interesting character to read from, he was loyal to a fault and he wanted to avenge his family.
I adored all of the characters and I enjoyed reading from their perspectives. They were different characters and yet they were also similar. They each had their own ideas and the way they responded to difficult situations.
Anna was also fun, I found her conversations with Beckett so sweet. She came to work at Falcon Point and it was sweet to read about letting Beckett back into her heart. I liked how strong and stubborn she was, it was cool.
Tess wasn’t really searching for her past or to learn more about her heritage, but life had other plans. She was brave and I liked how she didn’t freak out when things got crazy. She was strong but she was also able to lean on her friends. Her romance with Bram was sweet! He was so nice.
Cole was the “cool” one. It was really interesting to read about him and see how he was different from his cousins. He knew what he was looking for and he also knew how to take care of himself. I also enjoyed reading from his perspective. His side romance was also cute, just not as prominent.
The whole story was interesting and I was on the edge of my seat reading this book. The bad guy was shockingly good at what he does. But the ending!! I would recommend this book to those who like any books by these authors. I am excited to read more by these authors. Heirs of Falcon Point was a clean, historical suspense romance.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

I posted my review on Bookbub and Barnes and Nobles. I will post my review on Amazon and blog closer to release date.

Heirs of Falcon Point review

What a great book!

May I suggest you read this on a day you have all day to read? You're not going to want to put it down!

The book starts is 1930s Austria, and an escape from Hitler's regime. This is not a genre I often read. But I was sure falling in love with the characters with every train ticket purchased, hiding spot, and disguise as the Langs have to leave their beloved home, Falcon Point. They leave a treasure they hope to be able to return to soon.

Then the scene changes to present day. Which was a little jarring to me. I could read an entire book about the original characters.

Although I certainly fell in love with the present day peeps, too, who are descendants of the original group. They don't know each other. Or even about each other.

Through their different careers and life situations, they all end up in the same area - around Falcon Point. Their lives are in danger, just from being heirs. Will they be able to survive? Take down the foe(s)? Reclaim the treasure? I recommend you read the book and find out!
