Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope is the third book in Janice Lynn’s Wrapped Up in Christmas stories. Set in Pine Hill, Kentucky, these stories feature the quilts of valor project undertaken by Sophie and Isabelle’s Threaded Needle Quilt Shop. New arrival to Pine Hill Morgan Morris and her young son Greyson are drawn to her cousins’ program, even though Morgan’s only skill is to iron the sewn pieces for the quilters.
Both Morgan and Greyson are still recovering from the loss of her husband two years earlier. After downsizing occurred at the Georgia hospital where Morgan was employed as a nurse, she relocated to Pine Hill and the warmth of her grandparents’ home. She and Greyson are trying to acclimatize when the local firefighters visit Greyson’s kindergarten class to herald the Christmas season and the local ornament decorating contest. When Morgan and firefighter Andrew Scott visually connect and Greyson becomes taken with the firefighter, the new “Wrapped” story begins to unfold.
With so many lovely happenings, some angst filled moments, and an unmistakable tension, this story definitely delivers. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it to all who love this genre!
The third book in the series is based in Pine Hill, Kentucky and I loved it! Hallmark books are always good but Janice Lynn makes this read -- top notch! Andrew and Morgan are great characters and I enjoyed their journey. Love, a great small town, butterflies and melodic words - good job Janice Lynn! A must read!
Thank you NetGalley, Janice Lynn and Hallmark Publishing for the book Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope. This is my personal review.
I adore everything Hallmark and this romance was perfect.
The characters are so wonderful together. The chemistry between them all just fits. Andrew and Morgan are meant to be together. Greyson, Morgan’s son is one adorable boy.
Janice Lynn has written the wonderfully intricate story of two wounded people who are drawn to each other even in spite of their own best attempts to avoid it. Andrew Scott is an avid firefighter who thought nothing of facing great risk in a severe fire just to save someone’s life. His greatest life dream is to become a Wildfire Hotshot, especially a Smokejumper who parachutes into the fire in order to stop it. When he begins a relationship with a woman he quickly states that he is a very poor candidate for a relationship and that their time together would end. In his case, when the relationship got to hot and began to burn, he ran away.
On the other hand, Morgan Morris was the widow of a risk-taker. Her late husband died in a tragic accident that happened while he was involved in a risky venture. She is left the single mother of her son, Greyson, and a firm commitment never—ever—to become involved with a man who lived life on the wild side. Andrew, a fireman who rode around town in his Harley, was the stereotype of the person she avoided.
The problem in the story was Greyson. His immediate attraction to Andrew and Andrew’s connection with Greyson put a serious crimp in both Morgan and Andrew’s firm conviction. The great thing about this novel was that both main characters held true to their beliefs.
I was worried that as the story worked its way toward the conclusion, Morgan would too easily give in to her obvious attraction to Andrew. But the story did not crash and burn. Morgan is too strong a character for that to happen. I loved the way that the author slowly and intricately kept the exquisite tension alive all the way to the perfect ending for both characters. I highly recommend this book.
This book is such a joy to read. Engaging characters of all ages sure to appeal to a wide audience. A quiet romance with 2 people falling in love - but each have their own challenges to work through. Andrew is a firefighter wanting to chase a dream he has -convinced he was meant to pursue the dream and Morgan, still healing from heart ache and learning to trust and "hope" again. Throw in quite a few endearing grandparents, an adorable son, veterans, and co-workers and you have an enjoyable ride as they find their way. It is a quiet romance - more about working through their own needs with the help of the townspeople but satisfying to the end. If you are looking for a warm, comforting holiday read this would be a good choice. Then go back and read prior books in the series if you haven't already.
Books like this get me in the holiday spirirt. This was no exception. Very sweet, romantic and love dovey. Made me feel like I was in the book myself.
I have so enjoyed Quilt of Valor books by Janice Lynn. Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope introduces the reader to Morgan, a widow with a young son, Greyson. Greyson steals every scene that he is in so prepare to fall in love with him. Andrew is a firefighter with a dream of becoming more in the line of firefighting. Exactly not what Morgan would want after losing her husband.
The fact that they both volunteer on the quilts for veterans project, Greyson looks up to Andrew, they have a sweet attraction to each other and the "Butterflies" catch wind of it makes for a lively and entertaining story. With a wonderful conclusion that you expect from this series and Hallmark it is a spirit lifter.
Okay I do have a suggestion. My suggestion is that this series should be made into a series of romances movies soon. They would be perfect in the Hallmark Christmas movie line-up. Perhaps they already have and I have just missed them because these are wonderful stories that would made wonderful movies. Binge watching would be in store for many.
An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. This was 100% perfect “Hallmark Christmas”! I really hope this is made into a movie in the near future. I loved everything about this book. I love all the characters and really enjoyed that the same people from Wrapped Up in Christmas Joy were also in this book with addition to Andrew, Morgan and Greyson! I absolutely adore Greyson. He is the sweetest little boy and just made my heart smile whenever he was mentioned in the book. The grandmas in the book made me laugh especially when it came to planning Rosie and Lou’s wedding….a true Christmas wedding from ugly Christmas sweater dresses to live reindeers pulling a sleigh. It was just such a sweet and fun Christmas read. It was just released yesterday on October 26th. I highly recommend picking up a copy. It is sure to put you in the mood for Christmas!

This is a sweet romance that follows the lives of an adorable five year old boy, Greyson, his widowed mom, Morgan and Andrew, a firefighter. Greyson hero worships Andrew, but Andrew still dreams of becoming a smoke jumper. Morgan lost her daredevil husband, so she is hesitant to start anything with Andrew.
With a great cast of characters and a meddling group of matchmaking women, these two people just mind find their happily ever after. This is the third book in the series and you do get to see some characters from previous books. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Hallmark, Christmas, Romance...what more could you ask for? Love anything by Hallmark Publishing!
Great read!
Morgan is a widowed mom of a little 5 yr. old boy. Greyson is adorable. When firefighter, Andrew comes to his school , Greyson has stars in his eyes. He is so enamored with the firefighter and hopes to be just like him when he grows up. Andrew can tell the little boy is quiet and seems to really sweet. He can't help but spend a little more time with him. After all, when Santa is nearby but the boy wants to spend time with him, how can he resist.
When Andrew meets Morgan, they both feel an instant attraction that neither of them are looking for. Morgan is dealing with the loss of her husband and Andrew has future plans of becoming a fire jumper and knows it is a dangerous job to even think of having a family.
Oh my goodness, this is such a heartwarming, sweet and at times emotional story. Visiting Pine Hill and some of the characters we've met before was so fun. The Butterflies- matchmaking ladies added a fun and humorous element to this story. You can't help but quickly turn the pages to see if they will be able to work their "magic" on this very deserving couple and a little boy.
A perfect book to just cozy up in a comfy chair, sip some hot cocoa and get lost in this beautiful Christmas story filled with love and hope.
.
Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope by Janice Lynn was just so saccharine sweet and over the top that I had to skim through the book in order to finish it. It was just too much. The characters were just ridiculously cutesie, the Butterflies were drawn as stereotypical Southern women to the point it was insulting and Morgan was so stuck in her head about not dating anyone who took risks that it was repetitive and boring since you knew they were going to wind up together in the end. I just couldn't read it all the way through and I LOVE Christmas books!
Thanks to the author, Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.
In my review of the previous book, Wrapped Up in Christmas Joy, I asked for more of The Butterflies and more realistic, grown-up characters as the leads in subsequent books. Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope delivers that.
I really loved Rosie's Christmas extravaganza wedding and all the crazy requests she had in planning. The Butterflies are the best part of Pine Ridge and I hope that in the next book we get more of Maybelle and John. Maybe they could be the main romantic characters and the weddings of the younger folk becomes the B storyline?
This time the main characters are struggling with their growing attraction to each other for real-life reasons. Andrew dreams of moving away to become a wildfire firefighter so he doesn't want to get attached to anyone, especially a single mother. Morgan is a widow with a delightful kindergartner and a full-time job and doesn't want to get hurt again after losing her husband in a tragic accident. Through a little nudging of The Butterflies, Morgan and Andrew find themselves doing all sorts of Christmas-y things with adorable Greyson in tow. It's hard not to root for them as they struggle with logic over love.
*I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher and I am required to disclose that in my review in compliance with federal law.
This story touched my heart in so many ways. I really liked returning to Pine Hill and seeing the matchmaking butterflies try to get Andrew and Morgan together. Unfortunately Morgan does not want to risk her heart for love again because she lost her husband, Trey several years ago Andrew does not want to risk his heart either because he does not get attached to single women with children. He wants to be a smokejumper someday.
The characters pulled me right into the story with magical weddings, reindeer, and Morgan's cousins and grandparents. Pine Hill is a beautiful community full of family, caring, and love. It was a nice place for Morgan to move to with her son, Grayson who is five.
I liked the Quilts of Valor that was woven into the story through John. I also liked catching up with characters from the previous books and finding Hamilton House was adding a Beds for Vets program.
I enjoyed experiencing the joy of seeing snow for the first time through five year old Grayson. The ornament he drew was very heartfelt. I also really liked the banter between Andrew and his fellow firefighters. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
What a wonderful heartwarming Christmas story! I loved everything about this book. It's the perfect book to curl up with and forget about the world for a while. If you are looking for a book that will lift your spirits and leave you with a warm cozy feeling, grab this book. This book deserves more than 5 stars.
I received a complimentary copy from Hallmark Publishing via NetGalley and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Welcome to Pine Hill, a small town that celebrates Christmas as often as possible, has a cute squad of grandmas who call themselves the Butterflies and love to set people up, hunky firefighters, veterans, and cute kindergartners. Everything you need for a Christmas story from Hallmark publishing!
Morgan is a single mom to Greyson, a smart 5 year old. His Dad, Trey, was killed in a tragic climbing accident a couple of years ago, and Morgan doesn’t want to fall in love again, especially with a risk-taker. Enter Andrew, a local firefighter with dreams of becoming a smoke jumper, how much more risky can you get?
This was a sweet, clean holiday story that takes the reader right to Pine Hill, feeling the first snow on your tongue and the warmth of the season. Enjoy Morgan and Andrew’s story, I’m hoping there is another in the series!
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.
Another heartwarming, entertaining and engrossing Christmas romance by Hallmark.
It was the perfect read for a lazy afternoon and it made me escape, root for the characters and have fun.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
This is the third story of this delightful Wrapped Up in Christmas series. I have read the second and recognized some of the characters from that story, especially the Butterflies, a group of older women who have been friends for decades. They are funny, meddling, and nosy matchmakers that make this series more fun. Morgan and her son Greyson have moved to Pine Hill, KY to live with her grandparents after the loss of their husband and father and to get on their feet. Morgan has no interest in a new relationship. Andrew is a firefighter who dreams of being a smokejumper but with his fun loving and charming personality cannot resist getting to know Morgan. Greyson adores Andrew but with the couple's reservations and dreams, there is no chance of anything but a friendship. Or is there? I really like all the characters in this series. Andrew is so funny and irresistible that one cannot help but be drawn to him and who can resist a sweet little five year old boy who hero worships a firefighter? Throw in a fairytale Christmas wedding of senior citizens, a Quilts of Valor workshop and presentation, this is truly a Christmas wrapped in hope. Read for a great romance with Christmas spirit and a light faith thread.
I received a complimentary ARC from Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Excellent Small-Town Holiday Romance
This is the third Christmastime that I have been lucky enough to get a review copy from Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley of Janice Lynn's Christmas romances. I have enjoyed each thoroughly. The author has done an excellent job creating a delightful small southern town with a group of busybody older women called The Butterflies who, amongst other things, make special quilts for the Quilts of Valor charity. That theme has been woven into each story so far. This particular story tugs at the heartstrings because the heroine is a widowed mother with an absolutely adorable and utterly believable 5-year-old boy who wants to be a firefighter when he grows up, as his dad was. The hero is a firefighter in this small town with dreams of being a fire jumper (an especially brave group of firefighters we very much appreciate here in the Pacific Northwest!). When the hero and the little boy meet, it's hero worship on the young man's side immediately. The hero takes to him as well, and I absolutely love the scenes that show their interaction, especially when the hero teaches the little boy how to sew quilt pieces together! The little boy is so believable in his unquestioning adulation and wanting to spend time with the hero. The heroine, of course, is conflicted on several levels about the potential for romance. The book also has a second-chance-at-love Christmastime wedding, which was a delight to read. The hero and heroine don't seem like they'll be able to make it work because their goals don’t align well, but the way the author made it work out in the end was a pleasant surprise. I liked that we got to revisit the couples from the earlier books. That's always a pleasure in a series that takes place in the same town or city. I found this to be a wonderfully festive and sweet holiday love story.
