Yet again as soon as I picked this book up I could not put it down. Cameo has sucked me into this world that I never wanted to leave. This book broke my heart, and thank goodness by the end it was mostly put back together again.

I love watching Calla grow and getting to go through her journey with her and her friends as she becomes the queen she is destined to be. So much happens gahhhh I cannot wait for book 4 ITS GOING TO BE EPIC!

Of Earth and Air was absolutely excellent! A well written paranormal mystery, with suspense, deceit, danger and darkness. This book is a great addition to the series. The characters are well developed and I really enjoyed the plot. I recommend this book, this series and especially, this author. Great storytelling.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Of course I'm now going to have to buy book 4 to see how this ends after being sucked into these characters world for 3 books. And that ending left me needing more. Not just about Calla and Trystan, but how everything ends up happening when they save the world.

I'm very suspicious of Brynna and how their might be a connection still. And I'm very intrigued in JUST how powerful we are going to see Calla's power.

Also we better get some good epilogues to see what everyone's futures look like lol.

I couldn't put this book down! Calla has had so much heartbreak in a short time and it appears that Roehl isn't done torturing Calla yet. As her group of friends and protectors grows, Calla feels the weight of the responsibility on her shoulders.

This story is a mixture of joy and sadness, action from beginning to end and angsty heartbreak.the war between good and evil rages on. Everyone knows the big clash is coming. Will Calla be ready to accept her destiny and destroy Roehl once and for all? This book ends on a cliffie but we have been promised a finale in Book 4.

Heir of Blood and Fire series is here with book 3 - “Of Earth and Air”, coming live on 24 August. Thank you Cameo Renae for the ARC. It was a pleasure reading this one, she has got a thing with cliffhangers, one I was waiting to unravel itself. And when it did, she again left it off on an amazing cliffhanger for which I’ll have to wait till December as that’s when the last book in the series will come.

Well well well coming again to the braveness and determination of Calla, this girl has completely transformed herself from an introvert to a confident princess who is hell bent on learning about her new powers in order to protect her loved ones from one and only enemy Roehl.
The chemistry between Calla and Trystan is solid eye candy, they are my fav couple. I didn’t expect for the story to take such different turns so soon. Since I can’t disclose the turmoil, read and you’ll know.🤪
A new person is introduced and I adore that character. It’s a well written story with strong bonds of friendship who’ll do anything to save each other and go to greater lengths for it.

A paranormal story with mystery, suspense, romance, heartbreak, deceit, danger and darkness. This book is a fantastic addition to the series as the drama builds between good and evil. The characters are lovable (mostly), drawing you into the story and holding on until the very last page. I’m more than ready for the next book. I recommend this book, this series and especially, this author. Great storytelling.

"I am fire. I am water. I am earth. I am air. And I am worthy."

Of Earth and Air is the third book of "the Heir of Blood and Fire" series. I didn't read the first two but I quite understood the situation and the plot. I really liked the characters, especially Calla. I love her.
The action and the romance were well balanced and I liked also the writing style.
I hope in these months to have time to read the first two books, among my many back books that I have on my list

So in conclusion, I appreciated this book and I rate it 3 stars

Goodness gracious this book took you through some emotions. If you've made it to this book, you're already familiar with our wonderful Calla and her ragtag crew of friends and allies, which means you know who and what and how. So this book is a plethora of twists and turns, highs and lows, and everything in between. Miss Renae weaves a thrilling tale with enough magic, action, and love to keep you glued to the page from beginning to end. I was completely enthralled. Though she takes your heart through the blender, she makes up for it along the way, leaving you breathless for more.

I am going to start off by saying I adored book 1 and 2.
3 fell a little short for me. It felt very rushed, I am really hoping book 4 makes up for it. I did still enjoy the story and I loved seeing the cadre again. It was still a fun read but it just didnt engage me like the other.

The action was fun, the romance, banter all of it great. I still highly suggest this series and book four is extremely anticipated.

Of Earth and Air by Cameo Rene is a fantasy, paranormal romance, and is the third book in the Heir of Blood and Fire series.

First off this writing just continually surprises me, it reads like a mother goose story time. I just envision myself reading this allowed in a soft and soothing voice to little children, granted the content isn't quite for those little ears.

I am in love, with this storyline, these characters, both the familial bonds and everlasting friendships, everything about this book soothes me.

More trials and devastating curses are revealed, more adventures and powers unfold and were taken through the fear and pain of a girl about to loose it all.

2.5 stars

I should have known what was coming after book 2. This was bad. It was uneventful and boring. There was so much in this book that was just lazy. Instead of finding another way for there to be some kind of romantic tension, Trystan ends up forgetting Calla through magical coercion. The ending was bad and also lazy. Suddenly he remembers her! THE END. Nicolai is somehow always off running errands any time Calla ends up in shit, and then he comes back and says "this will never happen again" and then it does, again.

And how can Calla become stronger in the next book? This book is a big jack-off reminder of how amazing and powerful she is and how much everyone loves her for no fucking reason. Next book she will grow diamond hair and shit out bolts of electricity

I don't want to read the fourth fucking book. There shouldn't be a fourth fucking book. NOTHING HAPPENED IN THIS BOOK. Okay well I guess that isn't entirely true <spoiler> On that note, how is it that her <spoiler> and she just kind of sniffles for 6 minutes and moves on to swooning over Trystan again?

Bah. Garbage.

Another exciting part to this thrilling series! Calls has only gotten stronger! That’s a must have to me in my reads! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Quick read, I like the characters, the magic system, and the story. But there are some things that feel tonally inconsistent. Calla's mood swings are extreme. She's wracked with agony one moment, and giggling the next. She wails in despair over things that she shouldn't feel that emotional about. Not to say it shouldn't upset her, but I'm not sure that reaction is accurate for the situation. I guess it could be argued that her emotions are strained, considering what she went through at the start of the book, and in the previous books. But, she shows deep emotional attachment to people she barely knows and has only met once. Empathy is good, but I think at times this goes a touch too far.

Some of the dialog also feels oddly "current" for being a medieval-inspired fantasy world. Like, late-90's/early 2000's current. The female characters saying things like "Girl, that man loves you."... I don't know, I don't think people in this book's target audience talk like that anymore. There's also just a lot of odd dialog with the male characters. Most of them are adults, 18ish, some are immortals but still look like older teens, and many of them mostly talk like 14-year-olds. It just seems weird.

There were also some new characters introduced, that I thought were going to be connected to something bigger but as of the end of this book, they didn't lead to what I was assuming. There's still the fourth book, so maybe something will come of it there.

This book was frustrating at times as well, but not for a bad reason. There's a character who has a memory loss curse on them, and it made things feel frustrating because I wanted the curse to be broken. It took 'til the end of the book, and I do think that was a good thing. Had it been broken any sooner it might have felt too soon and too convenient. There were cracks in the curse already throughout the whole book, which is partially why it was so frustrating reading these two characters interact.

This has been a mostly critical review, but that's not to say there weren't good things in this book. As I stated at the top of the review, I really like the magic system and the characters (aside from some clunky dialog) It's easy to care about the protagonist and her companions, and easier to hate the antagonist. The motivations of both are clear and consistent. The magic system is by far the most interesting thing about this book. I am very interested in how this story ends. I look forward to reading that book when it comes out.

First of all... could the covers to this spectacular series be any more gorgeous?! They're seriously just so beautiful. Secondly... omgee! This book broke my heart! And that ending made me break out in happy tears. I'm absolutely feeling all the feels and trying to get that pouty faced look off of my face. I've been following Calla’s emotions and they've been all over the place, rightfully so. She just keeps surviving these unthinkable events and yet she prevails. This is one of my favorite series by one of my favorite authors and the love I have for this is immense. All the praise to the always ah-mazing Cameo Renae for bringing the actions, the heartache, the beautiful character growth and the unforgettable imagery. This series is a dream come true!

Calla and her prince are meant to be. While Kai also has such deep feelings for Calla, she just can't love him back in the same way. And dang, if my heart doesn't hurt for Kai! I'm so hoping that we see a happily ever after for him as well.

We see a lot of loss which causes Calla to basically cry herself through this brilliantly beautiful book. But it doesn't show her as being weak. It serves to show us her depth of feeling and how she pulls herself together and does what needs to be accomplished that day. She just keeps on going and it's just such a very humanesque quality that makes her so relatable. And it's both powerful and beautiful to behold.

This third book brought back so many of the friends Calla has made back into the midst of things and I really loved that! I can't wait to see this unstoppable team change their world. The next book can't arrive quickly enough. I am so here for this.

It's hard for me to write this review without giving anything away but I can honestly say that this story played ping-pong with my emotions. Cameo played with my heart strings so much in this story when it came to these characters and yet, I couldn't get enough. I enjoyed this story a lot and I cannot wait for book 4 to get answers to some of my unanswered questions. This is a story full of magic, adventure, friendships, love, family, heartbreak, pain, growth and more. It's definitely not all rainbows and hearts because there are parts that will drive you mad and have you full of rage. If your looking for a story that will take you on an adventure, look no further, this is it but the books must be read in order. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

Of Earth and Air is the third book in this series and was amazing!

Calla has really grown since we first met her and she continues to get stronger and more confident with her powers. Calla is a strong, fierce warrior that will do anything to protect the ones she loves.

The world building in this story is amazing. You will fall in love with the characters and the plot line as there is lots of drama and action. This was an amazing dark fantasy book that will draw you in and have you on the edge of your seat to the very end. Can’t wait for the next!

Of Earth and Air is the third book in the Heir of Blood and Fire series. This book takes off after the events in Of Earth and Air. Calla is stuck as Prince Roehl captures the two man calla loves the most. Calla will have to defeat him with the help of new allies. This was interesting and I enjoyed the writing style. However I have not read the first two books in this series so I was a little confused that said you are meant to read them in order.

I received a free copy from the author.

This is the third book in the Heir of Blood and Fire series.  I absolutely love these books.  They're so engaging with the characters and the storyline will have you hooked.  If you haven't read any of them please don't read the rest of my review until you're caught up.

Calla has recently found out she's the heir of Incendia and was blessed by the fire goddess.  That might be a lot to live up to, according to some.  Calla has tackled it gracefully and head on from the start.  The evilness that's after her requires her to be on her toes at all times.  No lounging around at this point....straight up on the run for her life type action.

There's so much going on in this series and it's hard to write a review that won't spoil it for anyone.  In Of Earth and Air, Calla learns how to utilize her earth and air elements to protect herself and others.  It's necessary to fight against the evil that's stalking her.

Two major events happen in this book. Of course you'll be rooting for Calla and her friends to win the fight. There may be a surprise or two for you as well.

I hope you enjoy this edition of the series.  I can't wait for the next one!

"I am fire. I am water. I am earth. I am air. And I am worthy."

Book 3 picked up right where Book 2 (Of Fire and Water) ended. Calla is on a mission to save those who she loves dearly. Calla's character development in this book is just epic. She was strong. She was fierce. She fought her emotions and went on a journey to rescue two most important men in her life. Coming to Trystan now. Where to begin??? I'm obsessed with him. I'm a sucker for big bad book boyfriend but I just love how well Trystan's character is. He reminded me so much of Cade (from Hidden Wings series). He just takes your breath away throughout the entire series. I want to say so much more but I'm trying to keep this absolutely spoiler free. Trystan is every girls dream man even soulmate. Kai was definitely the surprise package of this story. He's come a long way throughout the entire series. Eek!! From happy to sad to angry to frustrated, I went through so many emotions while reading this book. Thank you so much Miss Renae for taking us on Trystan and Calla's rollercoaster ride. I can't wait to see what the FINALE has in store for us.
