I ABSOLUTELY loved this book! The characters were hilarious and heartfelt, the love scenes were super hot, and I was so sorry to reach the end of the novel because I wanted more of the story. I fell in love with the guy and was able to relate to the girl making it probably my fave so far this year. Can't wait to read more by this author!

I have to say that this book pleasantly surprised me. I read Better Than The Movies this summer and did not really enjoy it. Nonetheless, Lynn has an incredible charm to her writing that made me really, really want to read this book. It's adorable and witty and straight up the most binge-able thing I've read in a while. I think I read it in a matter of less than two days. In any case, I laughed out loud reading this book and absolutely loved the characterization. Highly recommend this if you're into romance novels and a fun hot-mess style protagonist.

“I’d gone from finding her the most annoying girl on the planet to being inexplicably obsessed with her.”

Olivia Marshall can’t catch a break: she accidentally sets her apartment building on fire after burning love letters written from her cheating ex so she has to move in with her brother and his roommate for a month until she’s back on her feet, financially. Adding more to her bad luck, she was surprised to see that her brother’s roommate is none other than his arrogant yet handsome best friend, Colin Beck.

Olivia and Colin both start an anonymous friendship with two strangers when an accidental text comes through her phone: Mr. Wrong Number and Miss Misdial, not knowing that they’re actually texting each other. Things start to get confusing when a kiss happens between them. The chemistry is too hard to stay away from. Will they be able to make it work when the real identities are revealed?

This book had me smiling and laughing within the first few pages! The hilarious banter, the witty + clumsy heroine, the charming + stoic hero and the spice were *chefs kiss*!

Give Lynn Painter a crown because she just become the queen of witty rom-com banter! I couldn't put down this delightfully fun, breezy, sexy book. I fell head over heels in love with her characters, enjoyed the dual perspective story telling, and found myself laughing out loud at the characters' antics. This book was absolutely darling and I can't wait for more stories from the author!

Mr. Wrong Number was an addictive and entertaining read, that had me hooked from beginning to end.

Olivia and Colin can't stand each other. She's his best friends' annoying little sister, after all. After going through some life changes, she moves in with him, and he can definitely keep his distance. Although things get messy when he realizes the hilarious and sexy conversation he's been having with a Misdial happens to be her. He forces himself to ignore it, and ghosts her. Leaving Olivia confused, and in the dark.

I love the secret texting/enemies to lovers/falling for someone you think you haven't met yet trope. The chemistry between the two MC's were flaming, and I loved both of their personalities.

Olivia is more of the fun-loving, loud, sarcastic personality. A firecracker. Colin is more on the serious side, but he's snarky and I like that. There's a lot of wit and banter between the two of them, which is my favorite in a romance. This story gets STEAMY, and I'm here for it.

Overall, a fun romance that I recommend!

Olivia is lovable and fun, easy to root for. Colin is reserved and more serious, but not to the point that he is unlikable. The best part of this book is the witty, snarky banter between the characters. Funny, sweet, and steamy, in turns, this is a quick, easy, and enjoyable read.

Liv is a walking disaster, like burn-your-apartment-down disaster. Colin has his life together, even if his family disapproves and no relationship lasts. When Liv moves in with her brother, and her brother's best friend Colin, she doesn't expect to see a new side of the man she thought hated her.

From enemies to anonymous texters to lovers, Liv and Colin see a new side of each other as roommates and each other's wrong number. Soon enough, they can't stay away and their connection develops into love.

This is a funny, spicy, brothers-best-friend romance. You'll LOVE their text exchanges and wish you had your own Mr. Wrong Number.

Quotes I love:
“You and me, Liv? We wouldn’t need a bed.”
"But as someone who grew up in a very serious family, I found her laugh a little addictive."
"It was almost like I missed her, and that wasn’t remotely okay."
"Colin kissed me like he was the hero in an action movie and our world was about to end. He kissed me like I was his greatest obsession and he couldn’t believe he finally had me."

MR. WRONG NUMBER by Lynn Painter is a deliciously humorous, contemporary romcom.

Olivia’s entire life has been a series of freak accidents and misdeeds. The most recent happened when she tried to burn her cheating boyfriend’s love letters and set her home on fire.

Single, homeless, and jobless, she’s retreated to her hometown and is temporarily living with her brother and his bestie, Colin. Stuck up, jerky, gorgeous Colin who views her as his friend’s annoying little sister.

Life looks up for Olivia when a misdial turns into flirty and fun texting with Mr. Wrong Number.

Colin’s enjoying the sexy fun conversations with Miss Misdial until he finds out his texting partner is Olivia.

SUPER cute and I can't wait to read more from this author!

Thank you NetGalley, Berkley Romance, and Lynn Painter for allowing me to read an online Advanced Readers Copy of this book. All of these opinions are my own and in no way biased.

Mr.Wrong Number is the definition of a RomCom. Every aspect that you expect from one is there, from fun, banter, and awkward occurrences all the way to sweet, romantic, and steam filled scenes. There are also many tropes I know a lot of people enjoy, such as Brothers Best-friend, Roommates, a little bit of a Grumpy/Sunshine, and a lot more. This book mainly brought a smile to my face, and while some parts of it felt cringy/forced, I feel like it's something every romcom has. The characters were fun, the banter was light hearted, and overall it was a quick and happy read. The only complaint I'd have is that I didn't feel a huge emotional connection to any of the characters. I couldn't find myself relating to them that much, and that simply might be because I'm younger than them and haven't gone through similar things as they do, but I just wished I had connected a little more.

I did read it all in one day, so if you're looking for a super fast, happy, and fun read, this one might just be it.

I was really looking forward to reading this book but unfortunately I was disappointed. The female protagonist was super obnoxious and the clumsiness was too much. Colin really didn’t do it for me. Especially when he said to Nick, “She’s beautiful, but she’s like a helpless, pathetic little puppy.” That doesn’t sound all too nice even if you think you have feelings for her but don’t want to meet her since she didn’t know he was Mr. Wrong Number. It was just weird how he could say all these things about her then suddenly he’s in love? I just didn’t get it. Plus I was hoping for a lot more texting involved but it felt like there was nothing.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for allowing me access to this e-arc. I loved the premise of this book, a wrong number text leads to romance. I loved the banter and was laughing out loud at some parts. I would have liked to see a little more chemistry/build up between Liv and Colin before they got together. I personally found Liv hard to root for sometimes, as her self proclaimed "bad luck" felt like poor decision making from her, but other than that I loved this book!

I burned through this entire book with a stupid grin plastered to my face. It's been a while since I read a romcom that connected with me like this one did.

Olivia is a klutzy smart mouth (let's ignore the very obvious similarities) and Colin is a prim and proper finance guy, who also happens to be Olivia's brother best friend. A wrong number text turns into anonymous witty banter, but that's all I'll tell you because it's best to go into this knowing as little as possible.

I really enjoyed how Painter built this story, it made me laugh and had me cursing at my kindle in the middle of the night "come on Olivia this is RIDICULOUS". The banter between Colin and Olivia is very reminiscent of Hannah and Jacob from Crazy, Stupid, Love with a little hint of Bianca and Wesley from The DUFF. Hats off to Lynn Painter for really hitting a romcom home run.

My ONLY complaint with this book (and this might be a big deal or small deal depending on the reader) is that this was fade to black. I know, it pains me to say it, but regardless, I still thoroughly enjoyed this zingy romcom.

Def recommend if you need a funny pick me up

This book had me grinning from ear to ear on many occasions. I loved the chemistry and banter between Olivia and Colin. I didn’t love Olivia at the start of this book, but it’s so interesting because it’s almost as if the reader changes their perspective about her and falls in love with Olivia as we learn more about her and understand her better just like Colin does. I don’t know if that was intentional, but I love the uniqueness of it. Such a fun, cute book!

Wow, it was really good. It was one flirty, sassy, charming and humorous read for me. Along with that, I really like the whole dynamic between the MCs. Overall, i would say, it was quite entertaining and worth 4.5 stars rating.

Warning: Be ready to read this book in one go – if you start it at night, you will stay up too late to finish 😉

In case you couldn’t tell from my warning – I really loved this book, I made the mistake of starting it late in the day…and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning (on a work night) because I kept saying ‘just one more page’, until I finished.

This was my first by this author and I can’t wait to read more from her – she has pacing, wit and banter down. Her characters are relatable and loveable – I really enjoyed her MCs Olivia and Colin. Olivia being the klutzy, free spirited, go with the flow type and Colin being the more orderly one. Wonderful banter and tension build between them and I am an absolute sucker for epistolary romance – so the whole addition of the text relationship? Perfection.

This was pure rom com with an emphasis on the comedy – in a great way. I read many romance / romantic comedy type reads, but not all of them can deliver on that flirty and funny vibe you want in a RomCom. Painter really delivers with the comedy element in her book.

This one was fast paced, charming and delightfully funny. Lovers of RomComs, Epistolary Romance of the You’ve Got Mail-esque mystery penpals, and Enemies to Lovers will really enjoy this one.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for the chance to read an early copy of the book. All opinions and thoughts expressed are my own and freely given.

4 stars! Mr. Wrong Number was full of fun banter and charm. I was enjoying the book up until the inevitable conflict sort of made the plot implode. I wasn't a huge fan of the overreaction of the main character. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this one and as a Nebraska resident, I loved that the book took place in Omaha.

Thanks to Berkeley and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Everyone is raving about this and I just don't feel the same?? I'm a sucker for secret penpals/hate-to-love/we-don't-know-our-attraction-to-each-other-is-mutual thing, but a lot of this felt mildly cringe-y. The texting at the beginning was the best part of the book, the plot of which I genuinely could not say. It's a frothy little read, light on steam (the dirty talk was... a choice), and if you like brother's best friend type of stories, you'll probably dig this.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½

Olivia Marshall is down in the dumps. She has always had bad luck, but recently, her bad luck has been the worst it has been. When a rando texts her flirty text messages by accident, lonely Olivia begins exchanging text messages with him on a regular basis. What she doesn't know is that the guy on the other line is her nemesis, Colin Beck. Colin initially misdialed Olivia's number and he tries to ghost Olivia when he realizes who he has been texting. But it's not so easy to ignore his attraction to her now that he sees her in a different light.

This book was SO MUCH FUN! The dialogue and Olivia's inner thoughts were crass and raunchy and had me laughing out loud. I was very impressed with Lynn Painter's witty and sharp writing and the fun and flirty story she crafted.

Olivia is a hot mess, spiraling around like a tornado with her larger than life personality. I normally can't stand characters like her because I'm more like Colin - controlled, calm, cool, and collected. But I appreciated Olivia's crazy personality like Colin did because she breathed vibrancy into everything. In the beginning of the book, they didn't hide their hate for one another, bickering nonstop. I loved that their flirty anonymous text messages showed a softer and more vulnerable side to their personalities. The two of them together were magic with all of their electric chemistry and witty banter and I was so giddy with excitement as the tension built towards their coupling.

Pick up this enemies-to-lovers/opposites attract romance for a fun and flirty read!
