All My Rage touches on many difficult topics: sexual and physical abuse, death, drugs, and prejudice. Yet, Tahir gives respect to every topic, carefully expressing ideas with integrity.
The book does an amazing job of connecting songs to help characters cope with anxiety. I look forward to finding a playlist that has many of my favorites.
This is one of the most perfect books I’ve ever read. It made me cry because I was sad. It made me cry because I was happy. I laughed, cringed, and was furious. Any book that can make me feel all of these emotions while also crafting a narrative that I was sucked into immediately: The story of Sal and Noor, now, and the story of Misbah and Toufiq, then. Then tragedy strikes and choices are made, and everyone finds themselves in situations that they didn’t ever want to be in. Please read this book if you haven’t!
I struggled through this book because it was dark. It was hard and sad. but the ending was so good. So beautiful that I just had to give 5 stars.
Going into All My Rage, I didn't know what to expect. It being written by Sabaa Tahir should have been my first clue that it would make me cry.
My experience with Tahir's work consisted of her YA fantasy series, which I found brilliant. And I did not expect her to write a YA contemporary book. But I am so glad she did because this book was a work of art.
My heart ached for each character as they struggled. But Noor captured my heart, she was so brilliantly written. She experienced so much trauma in such a short life. And Salahudin, I may have struggled with my love for him. He made some difficult choices and they weren't always the best ones. But his heart was always in the right place. Seeing the relationship with his family hit close to home. As I could relate to some of their experiences. Those chapters were the hardest to read. And then we have Misbah, the sweetest character of all. Getting to experience a few chapters with her around, and then her past thoughts. Those chapters broke me the most. I just wanted to hug every single character and never let them go.
This is one of those books that you carry with you. I would recommend this book to just about anyone out there. It really is a wonderful read.
It might be a bit bold, but Sabaa Tahir can write everything.
Sabaa Tahir has a knack for creating stories that sit with you long after you're finished reading. All My Rage was powerful, addicting and heartwrenching. While emotional books can be difficult to read, this is one that I recommend everyone picks up at some point. With relatable characters, a powerful storyline, and exquisite writing, All My Rage is a definite must read.
Everyone must read this book. This broke my heart and put it back together again. It's powerful, important, and timely! Also the spotify playlists made from this are stellar!
This was a such a heart-wrenching book about two teens trying to make their way through highschool. However, they're way isn't so easy.
I don't know how to describe this book, except that it brings forward the realities of the kinds of decisions people make in certain circumstances - decisions they have to come to terms with.
I’ll admit that I struggled to get into this book, but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tahir deserves every award that she received for this beautifully heart-wrenching book about family, belonging, and community. The friendship between Noor and Sal is so brutally honest and complex. Noor is contemplating whether or not challenge all of the expectations placed on her by her immigrant family with the hopes of making something better and different for her life. The dual narratives from past and present fill the story with more emotion and tension. The multilingual text filled with historical memories leave a mark on the reader as the family’s history unfolds in contemporary America. Highly recommended.
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group for this DRC.
All My Rage will take you through so many emotions, many of them dark and angry.

This is one of those books that I'll savor for a long time; the writing is beautiful. I could not put this book down, and it will definitely be a re-read.
Sabaa Tahir has never failed to make me feel every emotion in existence. All My Rage is a spectacular book that I have now recommended to all my friends and family.
It seems I forgot to share this here, but we used this book in our School of Education course and two of our English department courses. I am also presenting about it in the ELATE session for NCTE 2023. This is one of the best books I have ever read (and I read a lot of books). The layering of stories and complexity makes it incredibly memorable and compelling.
This fabulous book should be in every high school classroom and library. It’s a beautiful, moving story of two teenagers who are struggling to belong, to fit in, and to escape their small town at the same time. It’s a walk through life, love, family, grief, and the journey immigrants face in America. The characters are real and relatable. It truly is a novel that will stick with you king after you read it. .

Thank you Penguin Teen for sending me a Netgalley e-book arc of this amazing/powerful book by Sabaa Tahir.
This was my first book by this author (#EmberInTheAshes is on my #TBR list).
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, but sometimes that is the best way to approach a book, especially this particular one.
In this book, we follow
three different characters…
Sal is trying to hold it all together
Noor is fighting to escape
Sal’s mother Misbah is waiting for her new life to begin
two timelines…
Misbah in the past, living in Pakistan
Sal and Noor in the present day trying to make do
one powerful connection…
Their strong ties to their Pakistani heritage
This book was one of my most anticipated reads of 2022, and it did not disappoint! I was drawn to all of the main characters especially Noor…I would totally be friends with her no matter what certain bullies in this book would say!
Wow. Just wow. I really didn’t think anything could even hold a candle to An Ember in the Ashes but Sabaa Tahir proved me so wrong. She can write all the genres and they’re amazing. Much like AEITA, All My Rage shredded my heart into tiny little pieces and I loved every second of it. Please be advised, it does contain some very serious themes but it is such a powerful read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book.
Try as I might, I can never connect to this Authors books. That's not to say they aren't beautiful and lyrical because they truly are, I just think I'm the wrong reader, and its not the correct genre for me.
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for the ARC. 4.5 stars. This was a powerful story told through beautiful writing. It is a story of immigration, friends, young love and what happens when we are put in difficult situations and the choices we make. Highly recommended.
Marvelous, ferocious, heart-breaking and hopeful. Obviously, we ordered copies for the library and my book group just recently read it - we had to postpone the meeting by a week because one member hadn't quite finished it and didn't want any spoilers, which is not our usual modus operandi!
ALL MY RAGE MADE ME RAGE! I was so sad for so long. It was definitely the intensity that I thought from Tahir but I wasn't sure how that would translate to fiction but I should not have doubted! Tahir wrote a gut wrenching, true life inspired coming of age story that will stay with me for a long time.
