**This was a NetGalley book [original due date 11.2.2021] and I have just now found at a library to read and review. I was unable to do so originally due to a bad file with no pictures, illustrations, and/or or text. **
This is a very unique book; a story about a disabled young girl who creates stories inspired by different things in her room and outside her window.
This time the story is about horses - seven magnificent horses. All have their own colors, homes, and dreams - all but one. This one is colorless, homeless, different [a note here - one can be happy and content and STILL struggle; remember that as you read the young girl's story]. THEN...the other horses step forward and change that horses life. It's an absolutely beautiful story.
Filled with very interesting illustrations [there is so much more to the story in these illustrations], some colorful, some darker and gloomy [on how I love a moody illustration], they all fit the beautiful story perfectly.
Very well done!!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Hadi Mohammadi, Nooshin Safakhoo - Illustrator, Sara Khalili - Translator [from the Persian], and Archipelago/Elsewhere Editions for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a lovely picture book telling the story of 7 horses. I loved the pictures so nice yet simple. Perfect for your young child. The story works using repetition so the child can learn the words and join in. Also they can count to 7. It's a wonderful teaching how to be kind, sharing, helpful and how to include others and nice to your friends. Its so happy and heartwarming that your child is going to love it and will want to read it over and over again. Its a perfect book to start introducing reading and counting.
Thank you to the author and publishers for producing such a amazing story that will teach our children in a fun way. Its an amazing book to sit and read together.

A MAY ZIIING!! I don't think I'd have discovered this book if it wasn't for NetGalley because it is so different. Translated from Persian with gorgeous equine illustrations, this book for children (and adults should not miss out!!) is colourful and filmic. It's a favourite with me and I will definitely be sourcing copies to give as gifts this Christmas!
Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publishers for letting me read this book in exchange for my honest feedback.
This was an enchanting read, so imaginative and just a relaxing time. Sometimes you have to go back to the basics with your reading and just enjoy the simple things.

โข This book has an interesting concept. In the Meadow of Fantasy is such a whimsical and magical read that explores the power of a young girl's imagination
โข The art is minimalistic in terms of colour and style, however, it matches the tone and storytelling
โข I feel like this would be a perfect book to read before bed

โข I feel like the reading experience would be better if this was read in a physical format due to some pages being spread across 2 pages
โข Due to the writing and illustration,

This is a unique picture book - both visually and textually, but both aspects meld beautifully together. It's a story about a girl, dreaming about seven horses, where the six horses share their colours, dreams, etc. with the seventh horse, who in turn shares with the girl. It felt slightly absurdistic and therefore modern, so I don't think it will be for everyone. But it's a refreshing title amidst more commercial picture books.
(Goodreads, check the number of pages. 33 pages?)
I really like how this volume presents the story. The artstyle, art sequence and the dialogues are easy to the eyes. I just love the extra colour combinations in some panels towards the end. It's almost magical.
Regarding the plot and the characters, it comes out as quite intense.
I am still not sure about the plot as the story just started. The first volume focuses on the character introduction I feel.
Looking forward to read the next 7 volumes.
Thank you, author/artist and the publisher, for the advance reading copy.
A lovely read for children about the power of fantasies. Many lessons can be learnt from the six horses that are willing to give of themselves for the seventh which had nothing.
Not going to lie... I have no idea what I just read. I don't know if there was something I missed to help that make sense, but I honestly have NO idea what that book was about really. Hopefully others understood it, I just didn't get it. Sorry.
A sweet story which is perfect for children, but adults can enjoy it too,
It's so beautifully written. I liked the writing, the art, and and the message of the story.
A physically disabled girl has a mobile of seven horses above her bed. Despite this disability, her imagination is vivid.
Each horse is described with a characteristic, but the seventh horse doesnโt have the characteristics. Sharing is pictured beautifully. We get to see the next generation too.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Elsewhere Editions which translates stories from other countries!
In the Meadow of Fantasies is a beautifully written and illustrated book that shares a good message for children. Our main character is confined to her bed, but she uses her imagination to dream up a world outside her room. Each of the seven horses she brings to life in her mind are different, though they are not all easily understood or defined.
The story is sweet, short and easy to read. I loved the illustrations throughout. They are beautifully drawn and the color palette was very pretty.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this eARC.
It was beautiful, It made me feel like a child again. I loved the message. The art was so beautiful and so was the writing style.
