Couldn’t put this book down! I loved the slow burn between Crosby and Madison. Crosby is such an endearing character, handsome and hot, and full of compassion and integrity. He’s my new book boyfriend! Madison is intelligent, sassy, and wears her heart on her sleeve. I was totally into their relationship from beginning to end. Great job Lori Foster!

This is the third book in The McKenzies of Ridge Trail series about human trafficking and is so heartbreaking at times, and could be a trigger for some people. The cast of characters is so real I feel like I am in the middle of the story, not just an observer. The subject matter is hard to take but the way it is written makes it all worthwhile.

This is the story of Madison, little sister of Cade and Reyes, who is an expert in digital surveillance and she knows what she wants when she sees it. And what she wants is Detective Crosby Albertson. Although attracted to Madison, Detective Albertson feels there is more than meets the eye with this family and he isn’t sure he wants involved or trusts any of them. Especially since the entire McKenzie family are highly trained and very well informed on human trafficking and always seem to be a step ahead of him.

Madison knows she needs to stay away from the detective and keep her family safe and away from the public eye, but the attraction can’t be denied by either Madison or Crosby. As things unravel, it seems they have more in common than just mutual attraction. Sometimes coming together is far better than keeping themselves apart but the journey isn’t an easy one.

Watching Over You is a wonderful read and I highly recommend it to everyone. I have loved every book in this series but this is my favorite by far and I believe you will enjoy it as much as I did!

This is another great book in the Mackenzie Ridge series by author Lori Foster. Strong male character but with an added bonus of a strong female character too. I truly enjoying reading Foster's books.

Madison and Crosby have been dancing around each other for awhile. They are attracted to each other but seem to be on opposite sides. Until Crosby is no longer a police officer and joins one of the family businesses. He has to prove to Madison's dad and two brothers that he's worthy of their trust and deserves to be brought into the family fold. Seeing how protective he is of those he loves, quickly earns their respect. I love the interaction between the all the characters in this story. This is the 3rd book of this series but can be read as a standalone. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Okay, let me preface by saying I am a big fan of Lori Foster -- her books are an auto-buy for me and they will continue to be until her writing days are over. Foster always knows how to bring the romance, the passion, and the layered plot that too many romantic suspense books end up lacking. Her latest, Watching Over You, has all the right elements: suspense, romance, sarcastic dialogue, and interesting character dynamics. Unfortunately, though, the development of feelings between the two main characters felt a bit rushed to me. Crosby, a single dad, goes from being incredibly private and protective of his family to introducing Madison (female lead he's interested in) to his very young daughter in what seemed like a fraction of a scene; their relationship progression was fast considering Crosby's character traits. I also would've liked to see more scenes with Madison and Crosby's daughter that included dialogue between the two of them -- most of their scenes were through Crosby's eyes, not Madison's. However, the chemistry between Parrish and Silver was on-point. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenes with Parrish and Hallie, and quite frankly those were the scenes I was missing between Madison and Hallie. The ending was sweet but also moved pretty fast, and I felt like the potential for danger was a unfulfilled. I will always be a fan of Foster and while it wasn't my favorite, it was still an enjoyable read. Romantic suspense fans will find Watching Over You perfect for curling up in front of a fire with some hot chocolate and a warm blanket.

Love the McKenzies and loved this third book in the series. So many characters interweave and you want each and everyone to get an HEA but of course suspense gets thrown in there trying to thwart it. Once I started, I could not put down until I was finished. I wasn't only rooting for Crosby and Madison (with cute as can be Hallie) but also her dad Parrish and Silver.

We finally get the story of Madison McKenzie and I am not disappointed at all. Madison is the tech wiz of her family and is helping them in their secret mission of rescuing women and helping others who need it. In one of their investigations they run into Detective Colby Albertson. Madison is instantly intrigued and attracted to Colby but she also doesn’t want him to get too close to her families investigations.

They of course eventually start to work together and pursue their feelings for one another. The supporting characters as always help move the story along. This was a fun romance between two strong characters who eventually learn to except each other as they are. There is a wonderful romance along with suspenseful situation which makes us a perfect romance suspense novel.

Coffee Dates With Watching Over You
First Date: While the two have had several sizzling encounters filled with snark and banter, Madison has it bad. Which is why she is following Crosby when he enters a mama and pop grocers. I love seeing these two work together and love the electric chemistry that envelopes them.
Second Date: Crosby has secrets, which is why he decides on a career change. We learn of a danger to the head of the McKenzie family and with it comes suspense, as Madison and Crosby must learn to trust each other. I loved the interaction between the siblings and how they teased Madison and even Crosby.
Third Date: While the series has some dark threads dealing with human trafficking, the characters and their bond balances out the dark. I loved the interaction between Parish and a new character we meet. I laughed more than once. Character growth and dangerous situations push forward the romance and I liked how it all played out. I didn’t want my dates to end, but closed the book with a smile.
Now that the trilogy is complete, it’s the perfect time to binge read them. I think this is one of my favorite Foster series and look forward to her next.

I realize that some people may not care for Maddison, but I have been impatiently awaiting her story with Crosby since they first started interacting with each other (don’t worry though you won’t be confused if you haven’t read the other books in the series!). I am a huge fan of strong female characters that still have vulnerabilities, and that is how I read Maddison.

This series is about Maddison’s family, who takes down human traffickers for a living. Although Maddison is the sister to two overprotective brothers (whose stories we got in books 1 and 2 of this series), she has always trained with the boys. Crosby is a detective who has been somewhat suspicious of the work that Maddison’s family does, since they somewhat work in the gray areas of the law so to speak. However, as we begin this book, Crosby is no longer a detective and has a few secrets of his own!

Be forewarned, this book has a few separate storylines that meld together, but I really enjoyed this book and LOVED Maddison. This may not be the book for you if you don’t enjoy reading about stubborn, protective, fierce women (as Maddison is), but I loved it.

Watching Over You is a great book. I enjoyed reading an advanced review copy so much that I had to go back and read all of the McKenzies of Ridge Trail books. The book is great as a stand alone or as part of the series. Madison McKenzie and Crosby Albertson and their family and friends were wonderful to get to know. The book has a lot of action and though Madison thinks she has to prove she is as good as her brothers everyone else knows she has nothing to prove. Crosby soon learns that Madison is a very determined and accomplished person. The McKenzies have some secrets but as you continue reading the book you find out what the secrets are and why they are important to keep in order to keep everyone safe. I highly recommend this book.

I was so looking forward to reading Madison and Crosby's story - and the author did not disappoint.

Madison knew from her first encounter with Detective Albertson that she wanted to get to know him better. And the fact that he hasn't given her indication that the attraction is mutual isn't going to deter her. For Crosby, he's definitely attracted to Madison, but he's always been a "by the books" detective and there's something about the McKenzie family that he doesn't quite trust. Also, he has a secret he's trying to keep and Madison's digging into his life could put people at risk. We also get more of a look at Parrish in this story.

The sexual tension between Madison and Crosby jumped off the pages. Due to the secret nature of the McKenzie family business, they also had to work around Crosby earning the family's trust. I loved the back and forth between them and how their relationship progressed through the story. We also saw how family isn't necessarily defined by being a blood relation. I'm going to miss this family as well as Bernard.

Holy smokes, this is an excellent book! I was already half in love with Crosby after the second book in the series and it only took a few chapters of Watching Over You for me to fall the rest of the way. Starting with the first page an intense story of love, family, responsibility and yes, bad guys unfolds.
I recommend reading this series in order, because the first two books give you insight into Madison and the dynamic of the McKenzie family. You won't regret reading these amazing books and if you're still not a Lori Foster fan, you will be by the time you're finished with the last page.

Loving The McKenzies of Ridge Trail series! A family can be made up in different ways. Foster has captured the true meaning of family in Madison’s and Crosby’s story. They learn to work together to protect their extended family while falling in love. You also get to know more about Parrish, the McKenzie family patriarch, and how he's able to find love again with Silver, who has her own previously tragic story. The is an action-packed book dealing with human trafficking and how a family devoted to protect and help others. The characters have a great romantic chemistry while dealing with the dredge of humanity and protecting their own and others. Foster also provides many strong life lessons such as hard work is required to make things better. Would recommend the full series!

What I liked:
* Madison McKenzie: sister, daughter, computer whiz, professional, lethal, skilled, and very taken with Crosby Albertson
* Crosby: ex-detective, has a new job, keeps his private life secret, saviour to some, a good man, perfect for Madison
* Silver: a woman who had a rough backstory who has made good
* Hallie: a child that started life in difficulty and found a family
* Getting to catch up with the rest of the McKenzie family
* The second romance that sees a happy ending for an older couple
* Bernard: butler, friend, closer than family, a good man ~ wonder if he gets his HEA someday
* Winton & Owen: Winton was instrumental in Crosby’s life and played a big part in this story as did Winton’s son, Owen
* The plot, pacing, and writing
* The easy relationship between the characters
* That though the McKenzies are wealthy their goal is to help those in need AND they are normal folks and true family – There love was obvious and they were down to earth people I would like to call “friend”
* That there wasn’t a major “break-up” type arc in this book
* The strength of the women characters in this and the previous two books of the series
* Wondering if there might be more books in the series though believing this might be a trilogy and done?
* Knowing that bad guy was found and dealt with

What I didn’t like:
* Knowing that evil people like the bad guys in this book exist in real life
* Knowing that human trafficking/slavery exists and is all to prevalent in this world

Lori Foster always writes well plotted books with interesting characters and the McKenzies of Ridge Trail series may be her best. Don't let the cover fool you, Watching Over You is an intense book dealing with one of today’s serious problems, human trafficking.. Foster captures the severity of the situation very well and yet the book isn't dark or depressing. The entire McKenzies clan is likable and admirable. Crosby Albertson is a delight. He's also dedicated and admirable with sex, strong and wonderfully giving and caring mixed in. He’s exactly what Madison needs. She’s too special for just any man and needs a guy like Crosby who’ll stand up to her and walk beside her in life.

I loved that Crosby has a secret Madison hasn't found. It's a great start to their romance. She needs the challenge and Crosby is certainly a challenge. And what a secret it is. I dare you to not melt when you find out! Madison and Crosby’s story starts kicking butt, literally. So it’s got the intense action I love in a novel from the very beginning. The tension between our couple is immediate and intense with a deliciously slow move to togetherness. As they hunt an unknown enemy from their pasts, everyone is in danger and the stakes are so high. Thrilling from beginning to end!

I loved Madison. I’m a little in love with Crosby. Hallie is such s heartwarming success story. I enjoyed seeing everyone back from the previous book. I really liked the romance between Parrish and Silver and getting to know Bernard better. You’ll love this book if any of what I’ve mentioned interests your.

Watching Over You is a wonderful and fulfilling end to the McKenzies of Ridge Trail series. I really enjoyed the whole series, it was full of action, suspense and romance. Watching Over You wrapped up the series nicely with a extra Happily Ever After in the end.

I'm giving this 3 3/4 stars. I know people are going to love it and there were aspects of it that I loved too. The continuation of the story with all of it's characters is what keeps bringing me back to the McKenzies.

Cade and Reyes are alpha males all way and actually so it their dad. So Madison grew up in a house full of alpha men. So when she finds hers in a man named Crosby can her family full of secrets accept a cop as her forever?

"I don't want there to be any secrets between us."

I expected a lot out of Madison. I was hoping to see all her badassery on full display. I mean she is a tech genius who spars, trains, shoots and could kill with the best of them. And...I have to be honest, Madison fell a little short for me. She was abrupt and cringy in her chasing of Crosby and I do mean chasing. There were times I was like, no stop talking, don't say that to him, don't throw yourself at him. But, Crosby loved hear forward, honest nature so...oh well.

Crosby and the story of Hallie and Silver made the whole book for me. Their background, his help, it was seriously awesome.

There was fighting, bruising, shooting, holding at gunpoint, an adorable butler, a great father, two alpha brothers, a woman who needed a savior, a little girl who gets the best daddy, lots of snow, swimming, cookies, coloring, surveillance, a laptop, a palace, and more than one love story.

Overall, a complete ending to a great series. Although there were a few side characters in these books that could definitely keep the story going (hint, hint, Lori).

I simply adore this family! Lori Foster might just have saved the best for last when it comes to this highly addictive series of McKenzie family crime fighters when Madison meets her match with the cop she's had her eye on. This series has been full of suspense and intrigue throughout and the amazing connection between the siblings and their mates while righting wrongs in the world is so satisfying. Filled with heart, sass and amazing love stories!

Madison is such a delight. She's tough and  doesn't take any lip off of anybody, but when she also loves with her whole heart and I just love that combination in her.

Crosby was so much more than I ever expected from our glimpses of him in the previous books. He too has an emotional back story and it added so much heartwarming depth to this book. Loved him!

I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys a close knit family trying to fight the injustice of the world one step at a time as each one finds their forever love. I'm sad to see the series end, but I loved every single minute of it!

Watching Over You by Lori Foster is the third book in this series of stand-alones.

I was highly anticipating Crosby and Madison's story. I loved Madison in the first two books in the series, and Crosby was an interesting character as well.

Unfortunately, Madison fell short for me here. While I enjoyed her attitude and general bad-assery previously, this time it seemed a bit over the top. Her pursuit of Crosby was cringe-worthy: way too blatant and somewhat obnoxious. I couldn't really connect with her at all. It was almost like she was a different person from the prior books.

I wasn't quite as intrigued by the danger and suspense as I usually am with Lori Foster. I struggled to retain interest. Personally, Hallie, Silver and Parrish kept the story going.
