This story was a joy to read! I had the hardest time putting it down, and loved every moment I spent reading it. Love on the Range is the third book in the Brother’s in Arms series, and having read the other two, I was dying to get my hands on this one! From the very beginning of this series I fell in love with all three brothers. Knowing I was going to get a story for each one actually made me a little giddy. Connealy has a way with characters that makes them so unique, still flawed, and yet easy to love.
This book follows Molly and Wyatt. Molly tends to take care of everyone, whether it’s cooking or doctoring. Since Wyatt was shot, taking care of him falls on her shoulders along with everything else. I loved getting to know both of these characters even more. Molly had some secrets that she carried, and she tended to see the world through that brokenness. The chemistry between her and Wyatt was undeniable, and all too fun to watch. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Historical Romance. Connealy mixes the perfect combination of Romance, Family, and Suspense. Danger lurks around every corner, it’s a good thing these brothers and their women all have each other. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
As the Hunt brothers band together to face all the troubles and mysterious unexpected happenings popping up around them, Wyatt finds Molly who has been his nurse and caretaker during his recovery, has become someone he can't get out of his mind. How is he going to help his brothers when Molly decides to jump into a very dangerous situation and he can't let her go without him? Lots of action, suspense and hard riding brings us information that was enlightening and heartbreaking. I was wishing for another story coming just to see how this family's futures went.. I requested a copy through the publisher and NetGalley. No review was requested, my review is voluntary.
First sentence: Molly Garner bent over Wyatt Hunt bathing his fevered brow. How many gunshots did a woman have to tend in one lifetime?
Love On the Range is the third book in Mary Connealy's Brother in Arms series. I've already reviewed Braced for Love and A Man with a Past. Each book is about a different brother--or half-brother if you want to be specific. Kevin Hunt, who starred in Braced for Love, fell in love with Win Hawkins, a neighbor and former school teacher. Falcon Hunt, who starred in book two, fell in love with his half-brother's half-sister, Cheyenne. Wyatt Hunt, who stars in book three, falls in love with his half-brother's half-sister, Molly. All three romances are of the INSTA love variety. All three books feature VIOLENCE predominantly. That is there is this UNKNOWN someone or group of someones that continually and persistently try to MURDER all the main characters. Each book will pretend to deal with the actual threat, but the next book will reveal that NOPE, the threat is still there so there's still another somebody involved in an even bigger plot. And since none of the villains have been fleshed out in books one and two, that makes some sense.
So in this one, Molly Garner, Kevin Hunt's half-sister, decides that since she can't teach (because her so-called bad reputation has followed her all the way to Wyoming territory), she'll try out being an unofficial, amateur, untrained "Pinkerton" agent. You know, as you do. With no training (but an amazing ability to make plentiful desserts every single day no matter how far away the closest store is) she'll get hired on as a housekeeper for a man they suspect is a serial killer. Again, you know AS YOU DO. Makes perfect sense, right? Have no qualifications? no training? No problem! Go live with a man you strongly suspect is a serial killer because you can always hit him over the head with a rolling pin.
Meanwhile, Molly and Wyatt aren't the only ones risking their lives. It seems the others are as well. They can't seem to go a few days without being shot at by somebody.
If the plot of the last book has you on borderline frustration in terms of suspending disbelief, this one may push you right off the cliff. It was hard not to get angry and frustrated with the characters. I did enjoy seeing Kevin and Win and Falcon and Cheyenne together. But overall, I would say the book has a very thin, weak, but super-action-packed plot with bare minimum characterization.
I have read Connealy's books in the past and not been this annoyed. So I think it is just this series.
What a great ending to the trilogy. I enjoyed all three. The books are about three brothers who had the same father but different mothers. The thing is they did not know the others existed. They each were left a part of a ranch in Montana when their no good father dies. Trying to understand each other when they finally meet makes for a very interesting read. As always Connealy brings in faith in God in this book and also humor. This last book deals with Wyatt who is the youngest of the brothers. He was born and raised in Montana, but the revelation of two brothers who he did not know he had, has turned his world upside down. Plus he has to share his and his sister’s ranch with them. Though he has mostly adjusted to the new arrivals , does not mean that he has to like them. After being shot and bedridden, it falls the lot of one of the brother’s sister to take care of him. Thus begins soul searching for both of them. An interesting ending for this series…..Thanks to the publisher for allowing me to read and review this interesting book.
While his brothers and their new wives search for who shot him, Wyatt Hunt is temporarily bedridden and completely miserable. Somehow Molly Garner's limited skills have made her the most qualified in their circle to care for Wyatt. But by the time he's healed, she's fed up with him and the whole ungrateful family. For even worse than his grumpiness were the few unguarded moments when he pulled at her heartstrings, and she has been long determined to never repeat her mother's mistakes.
When alternate plans of finding her own independent life fall through, Molly volunteers to work for the Pinkertons and help investigate nearby ranch owner Oliver Hawkins. She signs on to be his housekeeper, hoping to find clues to prove his nefarious, and possibly murderous, past. Wyatt refuses to let her risk it alone and offers to act as Hawkins's new foreman.
But when another Pinkerton agent gets shot, they realize Hawkins isn't the only danger. The Hunt brothers will have to band together to face all the troubles of life and love that suddenly surround them.
My review: This is the conclusion to the Brothers in Arms book series. It would be helpful to read the first two books in the series before reading this book. This book picks up where the second book ends. With Wyatt being shot. Molly has the task of taking care of Wyatt. She also is the best cook among all the Hunt brothers and their spouses. Molly finally has had enough of their taking her for granted. So she leaves and gets a job in town as the new school teacher. The brothers are not having that. That starts an entirely new adventure for Molly has undercover spy. In typical Mary Connealy fashion this book is full of mystery and humor throughout.
I recommend this book to all who enjoy a good read. I was given this book by Bethany House Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

Brothers in Arms #3
Thanks to Bethany House Publishers and NetGalley for the ARC. I thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion to this series. I believe you will enjoy this book more if you read the other two first.
Content warning: a serial killer, murderers, mentions of abuse, abuse, and more. If you're looking for a fun somewhat dark but sweet romance this may be the read for you.
Mary Connealy is one of my favorite Christian Romance author's and I was not diappointed.
Great book!
5 stars
Love on the Range wraps up Mary Connealy’s Brothers in Arms series, and what a great wrap-up it is. This book stars Wyatt Hunt and Molly Garner, but the other brothers and characters from previous books also figure prominently in the plot. The story starts out with Molly tending yet another gunshot wound and trying to keep Wyatt subdued and healing. Wyatt isn’t a model patient and is definitely getting on Molly’s nerves, along with all the other seemingly ungrateful family members, related and not.
“How many gunshots did a woman have to tend in one lifetime?”
“Wyatt was sick of all this trouble. He wanted to go back to busting broncs and dodging angry bulls. That’s the kind of peaceful, quiet life he loved.”
When Molly decides she wants to strike out on her own and get a job somewhere else, she runs into some opposition from the family, and Wyatt decides he needs to be nearby to protect her. Filled with Connealy’s signature wit and humor, this tale was such a treat to read. It can possibly be read as a stand-alone book, but for the maximum enjoyment and to get all the relationships straight, it’s definitely best to read the books in the series in order. I recommend this book to those who enjoy historical fiction filled with humor (well, interspersed with gunshots and danger, of course). 4.5 stars
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy from Bethany House through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
I enjoyed the premise for this series. It was satisfying seeing everything explained and coming to fruition. I liked that all of the main characters from each book had a big role to play in this one which is fitting as they're a family.
The action never stops. There's a huge sense of danger and urgency. Molly, for reasons of her own, decides to go undercover as a housekeeper at Hawkins' ranch. There were a couple scenes there where the tension was palpable. I wanted to play lookout or scream, "He's coming!"
There were a few twists and surprises. I gave this book four stars instead of five because of the "romance" that wasn't really much of a romance. There wasn't much to it. I also felt the little brother, Andy, was a throw away character. He didn't ever really get his moment to shine.
Still, I enjoyed the book. It was a fast-paced read. Thank you to Bethany House for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
A highly satisfactory conclusion to the series. Throughly enjoyed the resolution of multiple plot lines and the romance was sweet. Great characterization that kept the ensemble cast feeling fresh and unique.
Third in the Brothers in Arms trilogy by Mary Connealy, Love on the Range is Wyatt and Molly’s story that continues the unresolved storylines from the prior books. The youngest of the Hunt half brothers, who found each other because of their “rotten side-winder” of a father left a will that they are set to contest, Wyatt is recovering from a gunshot wound and being doctored by Molly Garner, his half-brother Kevin’s half-sister.
She’s determined to leave the ranch, to be independent, and to never marry – nevermind that she is finding Wyatt all together too attractive. Molly has her reasons, and Wyatt’s shows of temper reinforces them. When her attempts to leave find her right back on the ranch, she finds new purpose in going undercover for the Pinkertons – but so does Wyatt. With threats abounding, Molly and Wyatt must rely on each other as well as the other Hunt brothers and their very capable wives.
Wyatt and Molly’s romance is amusing and tender, as they each struggle with their attraction. With villainy that I did not quite see coming, this is another rollicking adventure with an ensemble cast from Mary Connealy. Best read in order, this final entry in the trilogy had me stopping quite a few times to tease out who was who and which person was going what, despite being familiar with all of the characters from the previous books. A fun read for fans of Mary Connealy and Historical Christian Fiction full of cowboys and strong women in the American West.

Fun conclusion to the Brothers in Arms series! Connealy ties the whole series up in a nice bow. These books would be best read all at once so you can keep track of all the twists and turns, even with the recaps at the beginning of each book.
I received a copy of this book via NetGalley--all opinions are my own!
Love on the Range is the third book in Mary Connealy's Brothers in Arms series. Wyatt Hunt is frustrated over events that have him losing a big chunk of his ranch to previously unknown brothers. Molly moved to Wyoming with her brother to find out about his inheritance. She ends up taking car off Wyatt's gun shot wound. Mysteries still abound as to what is going on behind the attacks on the Hunt brothers.
Huge plot twist that I did not see coming! Wow! Connealy does another fantastic job with her book! Western, romance, mystery all wrapped in one awesome book and series. A must read!
While I appreciated a good ending to a series "Love on the Range" isn't my favorite of Mary Connealy's books.
The siblings getting to know each other and the sweet romances were fun. However the head jumping and the darkness of the crimes and such were a downside.
If you're looking for a fun somewhat dark but sweet romance this may be the read for you.

I voluntarily received and reviewed a complimentary e/copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
The first three chapters or so are a summary of what happened in previous books which I found a bit confusing since I had not read any of them.
There were a lot of characters and plot threads in Love on the Range and so it was difficult for me to keep them all straight. The romance was very mild as the main focus of this novel seemed to be tying up the plot lines that had started in the previous books.
There were some very bad men in this novel and I was glad to see them get their comeuppance. I admired the main characters who were determined to be better than their parents.
One of the major themes in Love on the Range is honoring your parent. The Characters each wrestled with how to do this while still honoring God.
The Hunt brothers and their wives were trying their best to be a family and I respected them for that because they had a rough past.
Love on the Range by Mary Connealy is the third book in the Brothers in Arms series. It's best to read them sequentially so that everything makes sense.
I received an advanced reader's copy from the publisher through NetGalley; a positive review was not required.
What a satisfying conclusion to Mary Connealy’s Brothers in Arms trilogy!
This story picks up at exactly the same point where book two left off. Wyatt is awake now and trying to figure out who shot him. Molly is caring for him, and tired of the thankless work she has to do around the ranch. She decides it’s time to spread her wings, and tries to leave. The rest of the family is taking care of outlaws and uncovering secrets galore.
As always, Mary’s books are filled with humour, exciting action scenes, and a loveable cast of characters. It was fun seeing the couples from the previous two books play significant roles in Molly and Wyatt’s story. And as well, there’s a surprising connection that I didn’t see coming (did I mention, I really like that when that happens?).
Avid fans of Mary’s work, will be delighted to see a character from a previous series make a cameo.
I highly recommend reading this series in order. Readers can still enjoy each book on its own, but will gain a better understanding of the dynamics between characters if books one and two are read first.
I love the author’s voice which always pulls me in from the first paragraph. I haven’t come across other books with a similar feel (quirky with a healthy dose of humour), and I look forward to reading whatever new series Mary Connealy is working on.

The final book in the Brothers in Arms series by Mary Connealy, Love on the Range concludes the overarching story as well as telling Molly and Wyatt’s story. I love how Ms. Connealy’s series have larger stories across them, but still have individual stories within each book. The last book has usually been my favorite in her series, because of the characterization that has been done throughout and being able to see all the characters that you loved from the previous books. This series follows the Hunt brothers as they discover secrets about their father and establish a life for themselves in Montana. Wyatt was born and raised in Montana, but the revelation of two brothers who his father left shakes his world. Though he has mostly adjusted to the new arrivals and the revealed secrets about his father, some mysteries are still unsolved. After being shot and subsequently bedridden, Wyatt is left being cared for by Molly Garner whose limited skills make her the most qualified. Though by the end she is fed up with him, there are moments of gentleness that laeve her scrambling to guard her heart. For Molly has promised herself never to make the mistakes of her mother, she will not get married. Molly is looking for her independence, but when her original plans fall through, she volunteers for the Pinkertons. She is working as a housekeeper to investigate Oliver Hawkins on his possibly murderous past. Following her, Wyatt becomes Hawkins’s foreman. But as danger approaches, it is more at stake than they know and the family must band together.
I was so excited for this book! I had the opportunity to read the first two books and was waiting for Wyatt and Molly’s book! Molly had so much to her that we did not know about yet. She seemed really nice and had a lot of secrets. It is nice to finally hear her story and learn about her. She and Wyatt were really cute to read about. They were able to support one another, especially with the dangerous situation they found themselves in. It was cool how different each of the ladies in this series were, yet they all respected each other. Molly had a lot of domestic skills that allowed her to take the job to investigate. Wyatt was also very sweet. He was trying so hard to take care of everything that was happening and to protect Molly. The ranch was his home and where he wanted to be.
This story was very exciting! There were so many things that were finally revealed and it was cool to see some cameos from other series that I will not spoil. I liked the ending too, it felt like things were cleared up and tied up. There is some action, some light violence and reference to murder. Overall, I would recommend this to older teens and up. It is a clean historical fiction Christian book and the conclusion to a series.

Wow, this conclusion to the Brothers in Arms series is twisty. Mary Connealy keeps readers guessing and entertained along the way. As always, there are doses of humor, poignant and gripping family dynamics, struggles and hope. The ending is somewhat unexpected and definitely satisfying.
I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.
All of Mary Connealy’s books are good and this is no exception. Always looking forward to her next book or series. This book is basically about Molly and Wyatt but Cheyenne and Falcon and Win and Mark are intertwined weaving the series to and end. I enjoyed this book and liked how it turned out for all three couples.
This is the third book in the Brothers in Arms series. I read the first one and got a rather ho-hum impression of the book. I didn't read the second one and found myself lost from the get-go on this third one. It's hard to tell where all the characters fit in because I didn't read the second one. Most of the time when I read something I don't particularly like by an author I have really liked previously, I will give that author the benefit of the doubt and just say it was a one off kind of thing. Love on the Range and the whole Brothers in Arms series does not fit that description. The reader has to begin with the first book and read them in order to keep up with the characters and where they fit. Even doing this, the readers may find themselves a bit lost. With so many in the mix, it is hard to keep in mind that this is Molly's and Wyatt's story. Everyone seems to be trying to take a starring role, and no one is willing to be a supporting cast member.
I really wish I could have enjoyed the book more, but it didn't seem to have the element of fun I've experienced in other Mary Connealy books. Ultimately, how much a reader likes a book comes down to personal taste. There will be other readers who absolutely love this book and will rate it highly. I wish I were one of those readers, but I am not. Two stars.
Bethany House and NetGalley.com provided the copy I read for this review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
I had a really hard time keeping all of the characters straight in this story. The author does not develop each character in depth so they are just names on a page. Either there was a book before this one that gave more reference and I missed it or it’s just a confusing introduction of characters.
Because of this I struggled to follow the story and ended this book early, I never finished it.
