This book is really interesting, but you will be confused if you pick it up without having read the previous books. My daughter and I were kind of lost at first. We're going to try to get the other 2 books from the library and play catch up.
this was another great entry in this series, it had what I wanted in this entry. The characters were great and I enjoyed going through this journey.,
Thank you to Netgalley and the author for allowing me to read this!
This was soooo good for a middle grade!!!! This story was fun and I was pulled in from chapter 1. Great job to the author. I highly recommend this book.
When I got this book I didn't realise that this was book 3 in an on going series. Yes, I did read it but I got lost a few times. So I'm going to find the first two and read them. Saying that reading this as a standalone wasn't too bad, but I think it could have been better if I started at the beginning.
It's set in New Orleans and it's amazing how the author gets you so involved with the characters. You actually find yourself caring about them.
Now I am not the target audience but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
So, I think I'll go find the first two books.
Enjoy!

Another terrific ghost hunting adventure! This is book three and I have read them all! They are ALL great! You could read this without reading the other two books but it would make more sense and you are missing some great fun if you don't read them first.
These books are made for middle grade kids and they do have a good creepy vibe! I enjoy them and I am an old lady and been reading horror books forever and I find they are well developed, great characters, good supernatural suspense, and have good pre-teen team spirit (pun intended)!
There are good ghosts and bad ghosts, the kids do most of the work to solve the mystery but rely on adults as backup. Good mystery too. Ends with a feel good feeling! Kids will love these books. Each book just gets better and better! Alex, our psychic, learns he has another gift! Something even his tutor doesn't have! Something that makes him see the past!
I want to thank the publisher and NetGalley for letting me read this awesome book!
I didn't realise that this was the third installment of a series, that didn't affect my reading of the story, in fact all it has done is made me want to read the first two books. It was an enjoyable read that I think children will love, it had the right amount of creepiness and fright to be perfect for them.
